This is a heartwarming video for any fan of Flash and of Yes. Because Music lasts longer than the personalities of who made the music. Some musicians continue to learn and grow through out their life, and it appears that Ray Bennett and Colin Carter now carry on and improve on the Flash of 1972-73. They were young men who had the good fortune to make good music from their very first album; and they had the musicals skills to further develop their songwriting. Support their 2nd chance. Buy it.
Learning and growing as musicians is a blessing; to have this second chance as grown men is even better. Listening to the new Flash is perhaps more inspirational, because it is not a re-hash of their first work. Fans who came to Flash through Yes, as I did, should support this new work because of it's musical quality. It contains much of the strength of playing and composition that drew fans to Flash and Yes, and yet it has also developed it's own identity. This is good music and not nostalgia.
Your band seems like it "Time Capsuled" when you broke up. How about you open it up and show the world how awesome you are? Blow 'em away guys!!!! Long Live Rock. Small Beginnings, Morning Haze, and Children of the Universe, have been very important to me. I wish you luck!!!
@gigantorrrrrr - All Flash members give due respect to Pete's talent and contribution to Yes and Flash - always have, always will. But Flash had LOTS of talent all around and seems to have a life of its own. They're still eager to make music together (Colin and Ray). The NEW Flash. New album on the way...
@zappatx - Pete's talent and Yes days have caused many people over the years, including Flash members, to try to work with him again and again, but he makes it impossible. It's sad, but true. He simply can't work with others. Further proof - his last interview contained many self-serving lies and distortions defaming his partners. He hasn't improved with age. Ray Bennett is now a superb lead guitarist in his own right. Fans will have to find Flash without the aid of Banks or Yes.
