In that moment when I heard that song, I was being SA, abused, and lost a friend to suicide and lost my dad and grandpa and much more shit was happening. I love you so much❤ you literally saved my life and helped me get through so much shit, if i hadn't found your music back in the beginning of 2020 i can honestly say i most likely wouldnt be here anymore, at first I literally just had to tell myself, i cant commit until i meet skydxddy/see her perform at least once...and when i did back in may in Raleigh i can honestly say that was the best day/night of my life and it really gave me hope and helped me so much when i didnt even know i needed it. When u hugged me you told me everything is going to be okay and for some reason for the first time in my life i actually thought it could be. You saying those words brought back the life in me, it made me remember who i am and what/who im fighting for and why im fighting in the first place, that moment lit a fire in me i dont remember ever having before, and it just pulled me out of the black hole i let myself fall into. I dont know why but in that moment i went from hopeless and lost to determined to fight through this shit with a little bit of an idea of who i am. Thank you for everything, seriously. I will never be able to say that enough and I don't think anyone will ever understand how much your music means to me.

Thank you for creating a voice that doesn’t shy away from the nightmares in OUR reality. My opinion we don’t really recover from trauma cuz dealing with it daily and surviving the suffering that takes place in it, you never forget and it never goes away. It can be mellow one day but on repeat the next, you get better when you recover after surgery, trauma you survive your worst experiences that become both strength and weakness. I have many times been abused different ways and I suffer the “after attacks” (15 years for main one) is what I call recovery. It stays fresh and blurry all the same, your new song “why me” puts me to tears because it Carrie’s so much raw truth that not many see. I hope the best for you and strength in your “after attacks”, love you and your work. Keep up the good work and don’t go silent. We need you, this world needs your light!🙏🏻❤️🩹🩶

It honestly has ruined so much of me and making music became my release, much like you. I'm envious of your setup where you can take video of yourself in front of a microphone to make shorts. You got the looks and the talent for it. I don't feel attractive enough to be able to do such a thing, and have always preferred to just release finished songs. I stumbled upon your music from Knox Hill and damn it’s so raw and real. My sister dealt with Narcissistic emotional abuse a couple years ago and she shared her story with me and just wow. Your music resonated so deeply with what my sister went through. I may not be female myself but I also see how messed up things are when it comes to how men are raised. I will not let this happen if I ever father a male. I will teach them to be vulnerable and treat females with the damned respect they deserve.

Sky, your music is more than just words to express the feelings that we can't say, or can't find. Your music/lyrics helps remind us that we are not alone. That we are not the only ones who are feeling the things we do. That there are others out there who have either been through what we have, or have their own form of PTSD from a different trauma. I, myself, have shared your video snippets on Facebook, I plan on introducing/sharing it with my 21 year old daughter. I know she has her own PTSD and trauma things she is dealing with. My trauma started when I was a mid-teen. My step father was abusive in every form of the word. He physically, mentally, emotionally, and verbally abused my mom and myself for years. At first it was just me over hearing them fighting all the time at an earlier again. I never realized how bad it was until after I was 13 and the abuse spilled out over to me. My mom never told anyone, she kept it in. I tried to tell people, but no one believed me. They all believed that he was not as bad as I accused him to be. That my "issues" were because he was my step dad. No one believed what was really going on. It wasn't until I was 17 that my mom finally left my step dad. 4 years later I gave birth to my daughter. (Her name is Skye) Her father and I fought, a lot. He had even stated one time that I "should be glad I was a female" and when I asked what that meant, my fiancé said "Because if you were a dude I would be beating the crap out of you." Having grown up the way I did, I refused to fall into that again. So I told him "Don't let the fact that I have b**bs stop you. If you are feeling man enough, bring it." By the time my daughter was 2 years old, he and I had split up. Sadly over the years his relationship with his daughter got worse and worse. It reached a point in her teens where she didn't want to go visit him anymore. My daughter told me that she did not feel comfortable going to or being at his house. Naturally my first thought went to he was being inappropriate with her in a sexual manner. Thankfully that was not the issue. However her father and step mother have a very strong opinion and belief in how young women should dress, act, speak and behave. And my daughter did not meet those "standards" and the both of them made sure to let my daughter know. They didn't like how she dressed, her taste in music, her taste in movies, they didn't like how she did her hair, and they didn't like her way of speaking. My daughter could not be herself when at her father's house. So by the age of 16, I told her that since she could drive that it was up to her if she wanted to go visit him or not. That I would not force her. And to be honest I stopped "forcing" her to go visit him a few years before that, but always made up lies that she either had too much homework, or wasn't feeling good to visit. At 16 though, I told him that she was a typical teen age girl who wanted to hang with her friends, and he accepted that. My daughter is now 21, and she barely goes to visit. He had asked me once why she didn't visit him much, and I told him it was because he never put priority on their relationship. That he never let her be her. That he tried to mold her into what he wanted her to be. Then I told him that I had warned him it would happen, but as usual he wouldn't listen. I am hoping that when I introduce your music to her, that she will be able to find within it the same thing I have found. Or at least something close to it. Yes, you are young enough to be my daughter, but I can tell by your words and your tone in the song that you have already been through more than what a girl your age should have gone through. That you have experienced something that you should not have. And in no way is that your fault! The blame is on the one who did it, not you! I am thankful that you have found your voice, your outlet, and are being that for others. Thank you for speaking out, for speaking up, for not letting your trauma bury you away! Keep driving forward girl! We are with you, and we support you!

Thank you for creating a voice that doesn’t shy away from the nightmares in OUR reality. My opinion we don’t really recover from trauma cuz dealing with it daily and surviving the suffering that takes place in it, you never forget and it never goes away. It can be mellow one day but on repeat the next, you get better when you recover after surgery, trauma you survive your worst experiences that become both strength and weakness. I have many times been abused different ways and I suffer the “after attacks” (15 years for main one) is what I call recovery. It stays fresh and blurry all the same, your new song “why me” puts me to tears because it Carrie’s so much raw truth that not many see. I hope the best for you and strength in your “after attacks”, love you and your work. Keep up the good work and don’t go silent. We need you, this world needs your light!🙏🏻❤️🩹🩶

I thank you as well, and sorry for all you have been through. I've been living through mental, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse somehow. It honestly has ruined so much of me and making music became my release, much like you. I'm envious of your setup where you can take video of yourself in front of a microphone to make shorts. You got the looks and the talent for it. I don't feel attractive enough to be able to do such a thing, and have always preferred to just release finished songs. I keep thinking of how I'd love to have you on the hook of a song where I finished verses, and need a hook. Would love for ya to hear some of my stuff some time. I'm a big fan of yours.

I stumbled upon your music from Knox Hill and damn it’s so raw and real. My sister dealt with Narcissistic emotional abuse a couple years ago and she shared her story with me and just wow. Your music resonated so deeply with what my sister went through. I may not be female myself but I also see how messed up things are when it comes to how men are raised. I will not let this happen if I ever father a male. I will teach them to be vulnerable and treat females with the damned respect they deserve.

I first came across you on TT when I heard the song Triggered for the first time and I have been obsessed with your music ever since and literally each and every lyric in every song I can relate too! I'm just a normal 47yo woman from Scotland but throughout my entire life I've never found anyone even in regards to therapy etc, be able to say the words you sing Sky that make everything in my head make sense!! I've only listened to two or three of your songs, but I like what I've heard so far.
I can't say that I've lived through a large amount of trama compared to some people, but I can say what I have dealt with is definitely real, and I agree it's definitely something most people don't see with human eyes. Yet it's something that ruins so many people.

U have helped me deal with my past stuff from 3yr old to 10 yrs old. I'm now 50 n just started counseling. My 28 yr old daughter introduced me to ur music. Girl it doesn't get easy not gonna lie but never let anyone say stfu n get over it or deal with it. I've they haven't walked in our shoes they don't know.

Sky, your music is more than just words to express the feelings that we can't say, or can't find. Your music/lyrics helps remind us that we are not alone. That we are not the only ones who are feeling the things we do. That there are others out there who have either been through what we have, or have their own form of PTSD from a different trauma. I, myself, have shared your video snippets on Facebook, I plan on introducing/sharing it with my 21 year old daughter. I know she has her own PTSD and trauma things she is dealing with. My trauma started when I was a mid-teen. My step father was abusive in every form of the word. He physically, mentally, emotionally, and verbally abused my mom and myself for years. At first it was just me over hearing them fighting all the time at an earlier again. I never realized how bad it was until after I was 13 and the abuse spilled out over to me. My mom never told anyone, she kept it in. I tried to tell people, but no one believed me. They all believed that he was not as bad as I accused him to be. That my "issues" were because he was my step dad. No one believed what was really going on. It wasn't until I was 17 that my mom finally left my step dad. 4 years later I gave birth to my daughter. (Her name is Skye) Her father and I fought, a lot. He had even stated one time that I "should be glad I was a female" and when I asked what that meant, my fiancé said "Because if you were a dude I would be beating the crap out of you." Having grown up the way I did, I refused to fall into that again. So I told him "Don't let the fact that I have b**bs stop you. If you are feeling man enough, bring it." By the time my daughter was 2 years old, he and I had split up. Sadly over the years his relationship with his daughter got worse and worse. It reached a point in her teens where she didn't want to go visit him anymore. My daughter told me that she did not feel comfortable going to or being at his house. Naturally my first thought went to he was being inappropriate with her in a sexual manner. Thankfully that was not the issue. However her father and step mother have a very strong opinion and belief in how young women should dress, act, speak and behave. And my daughter did not meet those "standards" and the both of them made sure to let my daughter know. They didn't like how she dressed, her taste in music, her taste in movies, they didn't like how she did her hair, and they didn't like her way of speaking. My daughter could not be herself when at her father's house. So by the age of 16, I told her that since she could drive that it was up to her if she wanted to go visit him or not. That I would not force her. And to be honest I stopped "forcing" her to go visit him a few years before that, but always made up lies that she either had too much homework, or wasn't feeling good to visit. At 16 though, I told him that she was a typical teen age girl who wanted to hang with her friends, and he accepted that. My daughter is now 21, and she barely goes to visit. He had asked me once why she didn't visit him much, and I told him it was because he never put priority on their relationship. That he never let her be her. That he tried to mold her into what he wanted her to be. Then I told him that I had warned him it would happen, but as usual he wouldn't listen.
I am hoping that when I introduce your music to her, that she will be able to find within it the same thing I have found. Or at least something close to it. Yes, you are young enough to be my daughter, but I can tell by your words and your tone in the song that you have already been through more than what a girl your age should have gone through. That you have experienced something that you should not have. And in no way is that your fault! The blame is on the one who did it, not you! I am thankful that you have found your voice, your outlet, and are being that for others. Thank you for speaking out, for speaking up, for not letting your trauma bury you away! Keep driving forward girl! We are with you, and we support you!
Your music really helped me because of the fact i was emotionally abused by my ex and having someone who shared feelings into a music I absolutely love it!
