does the license plate move around while driving? How secure it it to the took hook with the one screw?
Love your videos man, been watching forever now. Can you do one for the g series? I have a ‘21 430i and am struggling to find one that won’t trigger the PDC
I have a 2020 F33 and the PDC does not like this product even with the offset bracket. The alarm goes off continually.
Does it interfere with wind noise since you your disturbing the airflow? it would be best to put gel type plastic behind the bolts if the plate bolts may rub against your bumper.
Looks good! May need to look into something like this if the Vette starts getting pulled over 😅

Awesome stuff, it looks very cool! I had to use a mount from another company since, the bolt attaching the tow hook to the plate would always come loose, but this one interferes with the PDC :(

Hi Bryan, videos are great , keep them coming. Just picked up an F30 EB as well. I picked up /installed the platypus but it keeps tripping my PDC. Did you have to adjust to make it work? Thanks again, great channel.

What is the thread size for the tow hook? I ordered one from ebay and the threads were way too small. It just slipped right in. I have a 2013 328i xdrive sedan. Any help would be great!

Hello. Thanks for a great video. I have a 2018 440. F32 but seems like the only option on the site is the center mounted option. Not sure why. The one you are reviewing has the bolt on the side......which looks much better. Not sure why they do not sell this on their site. I followed the link in your description.
Hi, sure, thanks! I haven't checked about the 2018 model. I'd just email the company and see if they have one. Even if the hole is in a different location, they make them specific to the vehicle, so some have it in a different position
Does this stay in place? Every license plate holder I've seen moves around when you start driving the car.

Read some reviews on Amazon and some people have claimed that it has. However, some people can never install anything right!
Sure thing! It has. I will say it's not perfect, but it's pretty good. I honestly haven't taken any time to adjust it, which I believe there is a certain position you can get it in where it won't interfere - per the company

The plate is thick, it wont make contact.
I'm worried about that too since I was looking at this product for my wife's car. I was thinking maybe a strip of rubber behind the plate on any points that could make contact just as a precaution

I recently installed the quick release platypus on my M435i- my pdc is going off. is it possible to adjust it so it doesn't go off anymore? any tips would be greatly appreciated!

what if you bend a little the piece which connects to the tow hook, that way it comes out more and you dont scratch the plastic
It's pretty heavy duty steel. I'm just going to put a washer behind the bolt, but bending it is a good idea
I'm not sure about your bumper but behind the lower left and right mesh there are leaves and other junk just stuck there and I can't figure out how to get it cleaned out. Have you had any experience with this issue?

Anyone installed one of these / similar / custom in the UK? Or even better, northern Ireland? Do they accept it at MOT?

Kies I need a new front bumper for my F30 335i Sport. I want to get the same one you have. Is that the ‘M’ sport front bumper? Reason I ask is cause the one currently on is not the right one according to BMW which is causing a Windshield Washer Fluid leak each time I refill the reservoir. Any ideas?

Sorry Brian, I don't like it on one side. Maybe it's my OCD, but I think it looks crooked. 🙃 About your licence plate: How does that work in the USA? Can you make your own plate, or are there restrictions for that. Here in Holland the numbers are given by the government on date when they are sold for the first time and we have no influence on that.
Lol. It is crooked, but I don't have a license plate yet, so I'm not using it right now. No you have to use the supplied plate
I have this on my 4 with M bumper and it still ghosts the PDC system. I have it at a stupid ass angle so it ghosts less, but it still does it.
Don't buy it guys, it's not worth the price if it looks all crooked like mine just to get it to stop ghosting constantly.
Ouch, perhaps say the word “Thermopolymer” or something not so cringe worthy like “plastic” on a BMW. But great vid. Do you know when a plate mount for a 2021 BMW X5 will be available?
at 3:33 you tapped the plate and it rattled, does not seem to hold firmly after install

M Sport bumpers don't normally have them

M performance vehicles does not come with fog lights (i.e. m135i, m235i, 335i etc)

Just installed mine on my F80M and it sets off the parking sensor even though they guarantee it will not. I double checked to make sure I got the right part for my car.
Fair warning, the “quick release “ is neither quick nor easy. Very difficult to slide the tool in without scratching the paint. Can only turn the bolt a fraction before you have to reset. It’s delicate surgery and can take 5-10 minutes.
Dose it fit BMW428i xdrive m sport convertible ???

Doesn't fit f87 bmw m2 very well. Rubbed off paint and sits too close. Not a fan
