I thought I’d put together an up to date Pre amp Pedal Shootout for you.
Checkout the Mooer 005 Brown Sound 3 - Driftwood Purple Nightmare - Joyo Rigel & Chopper z - Blackstar Dual Distortion.
All using the Same Celestion IR loaded into the Sonicake Sonic IR pedal.

💜 Nightmare, Mooer 005, and Joyo Rigel all sounded killer 🤘
*The RIGEL sounds like a BOOGIE MARK IV/ Just add a graphic EQ and boost/shape the lows a tad bit.*

Purple nightmare sounded massive
Mooer 005 & Driftwood to me its a tie. However all of them sound good in their own right.
Mooer 005, Purple Nitemare, Joyo Rigel. All have the same tone quality & sound the best in my ears.
Why did you have the gain set so low on the Chopper-Z? It’s just strange because every other pedal you dialed in the gain to have much more saturation than this one.
Obviously it wouldn’t touch the Purple Nightmare, but it definitely would have sounded as good as the others if you matched the amount of drive.
Because as you turn up the gain it gets loose without a boost 👍

Mooer 005, Joyo Rigel and Purple Nightmare for me. I'm pretty fine with any of these. Mooer and Joyo sounds almost same.
Did you already test FLAMMA FS06? there are 7 preamp's included Friedman Be 100, EVH and Mark V in that. Great video!

This isn’t Fair Mr Ninecore! Purple Nightmare dual 12ax7 Dwiftwood?!? I have the Darkflame and Uzi, boosted with the argos and a TS9808 clone. Do You prefer the Rigel or Chpper z? I’ll probably end up with both lol

Nightmare first then Mooer but You didn’t use much gain on the ChopperZ
@@adamstein9333 it gets loose really quick so any higher with no boost and it’s a sludge fest
Thank You Very Much! I literally had it in My cart and decided on the Rigel. They say it’s a Ceres one channel, and if so that would be fine though I thought about the LYR rock clone however I hear they only last about 2 months and trash

Purple Nightmare (Kickin' ***)
JOYO Regel (Just a tad lighter than Purple Nightmare but sounds great)l
Mooer 005 (meh)
Chopper Z (I have this one but it's not hard core metal, but I still like it for the other tones I get)
Dual Distortion (sounds muffled)
WINNER in my book... Purple Nightmare.

Problem is Ibanez rarely answer any emails and my preamp pedal videos are purely for you guys so I can’t see me buying one for that reason heard great things about them and love the RG guitars
Purple nightmare first, then Joyo's and Mooer. They sounded really well. Blackstar was way to muffled and dull
Yes it’s a vey dark pedal and it’s quite important with the Blackstar to use a bright ir or it’s built in cab rig
