The head and frill are supposed to be keratin covered on Triceratops. Same goes for Torosaurus. Only the nasal openings and ear areas are meant to have soft tissue. There is debate on whether this is correct or not, but that's what they went with.
Triceratops was found to have scales on its thirll
The keratin covering is a nice departure from the others in the line. But, to be frank I would have preferred this figure sculpted as a true subadult, complete with upward facing brow horns and a muted colour pallet reserving those striking hues for a fully mature breeding display. I realize Mr. Silva chose this for continuity, so that collectors who cannot afford the larger figure can possess one of equally brilliant paint schemes. Perhaps, later one can be made available with these changes in mind. Once again, marvelous review.
I completely agree. With his intentions of creating the Protoceratops and Psittacosaurus in 1/18 scale, who knows what else he'll make.
Yesssssss, triceratops. Beasts of the mesozoic is amazing. Great review btw
Andy, the horns are the way they are because they're meant to be detachable. When I read the description of the sub-adult Triceratops on the BOTM kickstarter site, I'm sure it was supposed to come with 2 sets of horns? The ones on yours are so you can use it as an adult if you wish, but there are also meant to be a shorter pair included.
10:15, the articulation looks good. I'm hoping that someone somewhere will make a stop motion animation video of this figure so that I'll watch it.
I love the paint application. Reminds me of a hornet or a bumble bee for some reason. Very loud and warning colors.
This is the first ceratopsian I ordered. It really didn't disappoint me in the slightest. I definitely had fun doin' my unboxin' vid for this figure for sure.
Hello, Finally got mine and
it was worth the wait.
Love the sculpt, love the paint. This just might be my favorite Trike so far in my
ever expanding collection.
This is the best Trike figure ever, and this review is so amazing.
When Jurassic World Trike Goes Sicko Mode:
True but the color abit unnatural
im so lucky. İ wanted to buy this figure but couldn't see any proper youtube video about it
You were dead inside before you found this vid
That head sculpt is off the charts nice. I just can’t get past the articulation gaps and Hanna Barbera color schemes on the BOTM figures. But the sculpts themselves are beautiful.
Yeah they’re said to be based on modern animals but too loud for me too
And glad I’m not alone with the articulation gap issue
Fair, tbh for me the colors are part of the highlights. Tired of grey and brown ceratopsians.
@@ChicagoMel23 lol modern animals like day geckos, dart frogs, and coral reef fishes.
Hello, Still waiting for mine.
God these pre-Orders are taking FOREVER. Anything from Nanmu is worth the wait PNSO as well.
Wish I had an inside track like you. How do you get yours so soon? Some of my orders go back to March!
Yoy!!
I love this Triceratops figure, as Alan Grant said in Jurassic Park it was his favorite Dinosaur when he was a kid.
2:25, the color scheme of this figure reminds me of the Jurassic Park Chaos Effect Toyline, before it was cancelled, unfortunately, but still I hope that Mattel makes something like this in their Legacy Collection.
I cannot wait to see the adult Triceratops!
Yassssssssss you did it next
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😉 Merry Christmas.
My worries about the triceratops Andy is that the horns might try to break off due to them lazily placed And glued on the head and you can see the seams
My nasutoceratops left horn was actually already loose before i took it out of the box. Once it was out, it fell off lol. Its my first beasts of the Mesozoic figure too smh
7:00, I love the scutes or osteoderms on the figure as well.
So Cool!
DO the psittacosaurus next plz plz plz
And also plz mention me in the vid saying I requested it
Andy, are they in the right scale with the Protoceratops?
Nope. The protoceratops and Psittacosaurus are in 1/6 scale, the others are in 1/18 scale.
Just asking. They are awesome anyway.
They sure are!
They’re actually releasing some protoceratops figures next year that will be in scale with the other ceratopsians!
I want this and the Styracosaurus as love couples. I got one question, does the creative-beast website contagious like stealing infos, password and informations?
Cool review
This Triceratops is cool
IT SO COOOOLL
0:11 I am ready going Woah! :D
12:20, Muldoon looks pretty good in scale next to the Triceratops.
That's because they are both 1/18
It's looks very good but I cant tell it's a juvenile only because of the scale with the other models, this looks a lot like an adult
I have been waiting for this one. btw the tail looks too short.
this is gonna be the first one i get
I'm not getting it because of the horns. I'm not paying 60 bucks for it to look like the Jurassic World figures.
What your guys favorite ceratops
Like Alan Grant, Triceratops has always been my favourite. But Nasutoceratops is now pretty equal since I found out about it a few years ago.
Where can I get my hands on these?
