Great video. Thank you for walking through the WHOLE process step by step. You are the only creator that I have found that has done so. Kudos! I love this video, and I love this channel. I really dig your style man. Just want to ask you one thing though if I could, and I welcome all pertinent answers, why is it necessary to delete those files at the end and restart the VM? What does that accomplish? I love to understand every part of the process so I understand the tech better.
Hello, my friend. The last step is to remove the ISO file we used to install the OS. Otherwise, if we keep it, the system will boot into the ISO and start the installation again. That’s why we remove it and boot from the hard drive directly, as we are already done with the installation.
Mine is in yellow text "Shell>" theres no Kali linux image and earlier it said ''The selected boot image contains the word 'arm64' but the guest architecture is 'x86_64'. Please ensure you have selected an image that is compatible with 'amd64'.'' I installed the 64x and followed the instructions.
It's not letting me do the step at 5:30 in the video- when I right click it doesn't give me the edit option, only show in finder. And I can't find the IDE Drive. Help?
Login and Password won't work :( I've used you're directions and deleted and re-downloaded 3 times and it still didn't work. Even tried changing both from the GRUB menu. Any thoughts? Appreciate this video as it seems pretty thorough. Im just wondering if there is something I missed. Thanks!
i have this ERROR Bro ( QEMU error: QEMU exited from an error: qemu-x86_64-softmmu: -drive if=none,media=cdrom,id=drive56EF07F2-FC2B-4701-B6CF-B146D740CF79,file=/Users/macbookpro/Downloads/kali-linux-2024.2-installer-amd64.iso,readonly=on: Failed to lock byte 100 )
