My K11 1,0 m. 2000 has a quite strong plastic/metal plate under the steering column, and I guess it must take away if you want to get the column casing screws out.
I done the same job myself during the first lockdown we had. Could not find a video anywhere on how to do this. Tried many different ways to do it without removing the steering column. Ended up removing the steering column to see that maybe I could have just done it with a angled screwdriver what I had in the bottom of my toolbox all the time. Made a video myself on how to do it just haven't got round to editing it and uploading.

You shouldn't need to. The switch attaches to the back of the lock barrel, and is a seperate component.

on the back of the switch there's wires going into it, how do I disconnect them from the switch? no screws to remove them or anything
Does the car turn over with the original problem?
The problem was the main engine management relay.
So did the switch replacement solve the problem ? & Where can the replacement switch be bought please ?
