I have one of these. The woman in the shop (before I looked at it) said it was an 'external charger' meaning you could charge your phone whilst out-and-about. This is just gimmicky, though. I have a charger, a million compatible USB cables, and I still need to plug this thing into a computer. I don't know why anyone would spend money one one of these.
Miss Okabe For one, it significantly reduces wear and tear on the phones micro-USB port...which is important should that element ever require repair. A microUSB replacement usually requires professional soldering. Two, I was able to place this wireless plate in my car holder (with 2 side adhesive tape) so that the device is always charging when in the cradle. Comes in handy as I often use the navigation + music and/or podcasting while driving...a real battery drain without a charger. Significant cost savings as the DT601 plus cradle came to less than $35 on eBay, while an integrated cradle is twice as expensive. Three...I never have to fumble around in the dark trying to orient and connect the USB. I have these plates conveniently placed around the house (some are cheap $5 dollar Chinese Qi chargers). They all work...but the Nokia's are definitely more robust and have a stronger field.
Depends on the size of the battery being charged. It's roughly the same for both accessories from our tests. But yeah 30% for something like the 920 is a good mark.
I wonder where he is now, I love watching this videos
me too!, does not seem it was 10 years ago....oh...time flies indeed but love this kind of videos, great times back then
Just bought it from sale, half price. Works fine with my iPhone X.
does the black one charge faster? I mean, the smaller the charger the longer the charge time, or "size doesn`t matter"? :)))))

What is the charge % per hour for both the Qi chargers ? At least 30% per hour for the 601 and 40% on the 900 model ?

Where have you gone
And what is the cost (£) for both the models ?
The DC-601 is around £30 / $50. The DT-900 is theoretically more (£50), but you can get it for £30 or less if you shop around.
