She makes anything and everything she is in funnier, more tender, intense, you name it. Although Margo may not consider this one of her more complicated roles, I loved her in the movie, Secretariat.
Such an artist who elevates everyone around her. So many roles. Her segment in "Paris Je t'aime" is more of a monologue but hauntingly touching and beautiful.
I interviewed Margot Martindale in Memphis when she was in the movie The Firm. We spent a quiet afternoon outside of the art gallery, just two women talking. She is the most pleasant, humble, unassuming and talented woman I’ve ever met. I could tell from her energy and that unmistakable glint her eye that this little part she had then was just a springboard into the marvelous and enduring career that she’s created. Bravo Margot!!! 👏🏻
Indeed an exciting actress to watch and listen to! Every time I have seen her in a film, she has made me utterly believe in her character without question. Even if the director, production team, crew and other actors phoned it in, if I saw her name on a film, I would watch it.
When I was a freshman at the University of Michigan I had a small part in a musical, Gypsy, where Margo played the lead. Though she was only in her early twenties, she played that role like a Boss. She was so dedicated to her craft it was obvious to the rest of us in the show she was going to be a success.
Walk Hard, when she's wandering "backstage" looking for Dewey at the talent show. Best five seconds ever. Face checking 12 year old boys and finally finding the grown man that is her boy. "There's my favourite 14 year old son". Just perfect.
Was so happy when she was honored with a well deserved Emmy for "Justified." She is just great in everything I've ever seen her in. Never thought I'd see the phrase "provincial syrup overlords." You Canadians really do take your maple syrup seriously.
I know that area of Texas. My Mama;s people are from that general vicinity. She's right, the tomatoes are phenomenal! The piney woods are beautiful and one of my favorite places.
Just watched this ,it was riveting ,cant wait to tell everybody to watch this ...I will say as a canadian I was also unaware of life out in the sugar bush !
She is one of those actors that if I see if she is in the cast, I know it is going to be something great!
So true
Me too.
This woman defines acting! If Margo Martindale is in your movie or series, it's going to be great! Full stop! "The Sticky" is outstanding!
What a dame. She’s just one of a kind.❤

I will NEVER not see anything she’s in. No matter if she’s the leading roll or a cameo, I’m going to see it!

Her role in Justified, Mags Bennett, demonstrates her mastery of the craft. I have sought her out ever since seeing that performance.

Can't say I blame her Canada's maple surup is the next best thing since sliced bread😂
I can't believe that Margot forgot me.
Watching this excellent interview shows me just how crap US interviewers are.
