I always end up playing way too aggressively in the Orkan, and my success in randoms all boils down to how much support I have vs how much support whoever I'm trying to yolo has. With the heals you get, I usually consider it a success if I can get an enemy dd killed and live, just because I know I can get back up to the 50-60% hp mark and still be effective if I dial it back after that. But I do love the Orkan a lot, and find the ship a lot of fun to play.
A reasonable approach; the heals allow Orkan to be a bit more aggressive than a typical T8 destroyer (Kidd has this benefit as well). The trick is that you can't heal back from dead, so you have to temper the aggression based on what you might find when you open fire.
I tend to do the same thing especially if we only have one or two DDs. I usually try to stick with something like a Benson so I can use his smoke and I'll use my radar.
@@SeaRaptor oh yeah, I've definitely had my fair share of "oops I'm dead" moments when I don't respect the enemy, or don't have enough info to be smart about my aggression. Trying to get better, but I still have my moments.
In regards to the Sub, I've been seeing an increasing amount of people just Yolo surfacing on destroyers to get a ram kill. I guess they figure "I'm screwed anyway, might as well take the DD with me" Oh I dropped the info on that Ultimate Admirals game on your Massachusetts video reply.
Down periscope is hands down the greatest navy comedy ever. The sonar tech doing the whale sounds get me every time.
