Honestly, if you thought this fandom was dead you should see the Mean Girls musical fandom- (no hate, just saying this was always at least somewhere in the air-)
At the US premiere in Chicago, All You Wanna Do didn't get immediate applause - because everyone was so devastated by Pauly's performance. People needed time to breathe and dry their eyes.
I can totally understand that. when you listen to the lyrics, Catherine is literally singing about how she was groomed and abused by men who were no more than predators. Even her own family exploited her for their own gain. what's worse, in Tudor times, many women like Catherine thought this was normal. That is so messed up to our modern way of thinking.
omggg i love her depiction of this character so muchhhhhh. especially in her song, she really sells it at the start and tears the crowd down with her. at 14:43-14;47 you can hear people not only clearing their throats, but someone goes "Mhmm..." because they felt that moment, the betrayal, the cruel realization, and the despair she was in, but they probably didnt expect the song to go from there the way it did. While other actors definitely sell the singing indredibly (dare i say some better), samantha captures the emotions so utterly beautifully, throwing the feels over the actual song itself. it was so powerful that many of the audiences that she preformed for didnt even know to clap at the end, and the theatre would grow silent. im rambling but im OBSESSED with how well she made me love K Howard's character.
I’ve recently become obsessed with six and with sam’s KH, her acting and vocal were totally perfection. I mean no matter how many times you watch sam’s KH,you will be moved and bowled over by her performance. she’s my fav KH, and the og broadway cast are always my fav six cast

If I may be so bold, Anna of Cleves is my favorite because she's the only one who really had a successful life, especially post Henry. But Kathrine Howard's story always makes me sad because the system failed her, just like it's still failing people to this day

I think that maybe the reason K. Howard goes from sobbing to that happy persona when she says that she died or whatever. I think she seemed happier because death was like a release from the torment that was her life. It sucks to think about, but that is the mentality some victims had back then. 😢
In the competition they said what HENRY did to them even though I admit that K. Howard hard one of the hardest lives I think I’d have to get it to Cathrine of Aragon.
