You want to know how bad Bryce Young has been? He's started 18 games and is 2-16 in those games with a 33.4 QBR. Trey Lance had 4 starts, was 2-2 and had a 39 QBR.
And one of those four starts took place in a tropical storm. While Tepper is the worst owner in the NFL, Bryce Young has been shockingly bad. I had him as QB3 in that class and can't even feel like I called that one correctly. That's how bad he's been.
@@JH-so5kt Bryce has been abysmal, but he never had a chance given that there wasn't anything on the offensive side of the ball since we traded away our RB1 and WR1 in order to get him. On the plus side though, we get to watch CJ Stroud with the Texans for the next decade become an all-time great....
@@TheVgaTV it's hard for me to give Young any benefit of the doubt when the supporting cast is better this year. Young also doesn't have any real physical traits. He doesnt have a plus arm, his athleticism was overvalued coming into the draft and he's very short. You need to be an athlete on the level of a Kyler Murray to succeed in the NFL while being that short.
We have to stop the “whoa, you took Bryce Young over Stroud” rhetoric. Bryce was #1 on Houston’s draft board too, and was #1 on many teams’ draft boards.
If anyone watched that game and thought Bryce wasn't the reason they only scored a field goal, you weren't watching. The run game was working and as soon as Bryce got the ball, disaster. Comparing Bryce to Russell Wilson is a huge slap in the face btw, Russell played NFL level football at least. There's a clear and easily visible difference.
Chuba hits that big run for a first down and the team looks fired up and has some momentum, Bryce throws a pick on the literal next play taking all the wind out of the sails. Tiny dudes shouldn’t be allowed to play QB end of story. Kyler has done this many times and at the end his tiny frame is the main reason he will never win a superbowl

They only ended up on good teams. Im pretty sure Mac and Bryce would be doing what Tua and Hurts are doing if they had the miami squad and eagles squad around them.
All 4 of them suck. The best quarterbacks that ever came out of Alabama are Joe Nammath and Kenny Stabler. That's all. Hurts is the only one remotely close to being a true franchise qb due to his elite athleticism. And after last year that may be in question.
@@JGore-es8xu How do all of them suck exactly. Mac Jones went to the playoffs in his rookie year then quite literally didn't have offensive coaches his second year and the third year with 0 talent and the damage was done. Bryce was setup to fail straight up with a failing head coach who didn't even wanna be there anymore halfway through the season and they actually have the worst skill positions in the whole NFL and it's not close. Tua led the league in passing when they finally put a real roster with him. Jalen was an MVP candidate the Superbowl year when they got him talent at receiver then proceed to change the offense entirely from what it was bc the Offensive coordinator didn't know what the hell he was doing bc it was his first year calling plays. As a life long Panthers fan I’m starting to feel like this team is where players go destroy their careers. Tepper has to sell the team for things ti get better in a couple years
Move by move, step by step they destroyed this team. If i was in charge the panthers would have steve wilks as the head coach, we would still have dj moore, and mccaffrey on offense. We would still have frankie luvu, jeremy chinn and hasaan reddick on defense. Instead of trading dj moore valued as 1 1st by the bears we wouldve traded burns who the bears valued as 2 1sts and we would have selected cj stroud 1st overall. This was actually all possible and step by step i called them out as they dismantled the team and sold the future. Its so pathetic and just hard to be a fan. Im no NFL GM but i realistically would have this team looking like a playoff contender while the “professionals” have done THIS to our team😤
Not saying Bryce was the next great QB, but it never helps when you have an organization and coaching staff that doesn't know what they're doing and how to coach up players. From the start, that organization never set Bryce up to any kind of success. It ALL starts at the line of scrimmage which that team has avoided of bolstering - you can have as many weapons as you want but it serves no purpose to your QB if that line can't protect him. Watching his NFL highlights, you can tell his confidence is GONE!!! He can't even complete high school QB throws and passes! Can't expect a rookie at any position, especially QB with THAT team to come in and light it up like a Pro-Bowl caliber QB... Most of these QB's would benefit from a year on the bench, watching a vet from the sideline and continuing to study and become more confident in the playbook - worked for GB twice and ATL is giving it a try now. Coming in a starter and now being relegated to QB2 does nothing but hurt his confidence bc he now knows he lost trust and faith from the organization. Again, not his fault. Unfortunately, many QB's and players in general get ruined this way.
I was at the game supporting the Chargers and was reminding the fans that they could had drafted CJ Stroud. The Texans need to send a thank you card to the Panthers.

Young man Geno,Baker, and Sam Darnold resurrected their career. Hopefully, he can bounce back
He will, the second he gets out.
Bakers problem wasn't talent, it was his maturity level that has changed
100% he will bounce around for 3-4 years as a backup and then get a job. Definitely fell him going against the Texans in the playoffs in 5 years and winning
Baker is the only one who's doing good. Not sure you understand what resurrected means.
@Battlefield2021 Geno Smith would have been out of the league if Ben McAdoo hadn't helped him get the job as Russell Wilson Backup. Now he's a solid starting Qb.
In 18 games, Young have 3 games over 100 qbr. Desmond Ridder got 5 in 19 games. Let that sink in.

@@julianreddick8354 not by much at all. Ridder isn’t even in the league right now. #1 pick to have a worst starting career than a qb that’s not even in the league is horrible. Dude look lost and scared to throw a deep ball. It came to the point in the chargers game that he was praying to god right before the snap and he never done that ever. At that point the fans and coach know he’s never getting his confidence back.
Is there a vote of no confidence or something in the NFL to oust the owner. Tepper has proven he is brutally incompetent in running a competitive sports team. If I were a panthers fan I’d be trying to figure out how to get rid of him asap

No, he wasn't "promising" because he doesn't belong in the NFL *PERIOD* and I'm a Panthers fan
@@EdwardWilliams-sn1un Well....if he wasn't at least "promising", why the hell did the Panthers draft him first overall in the draft? Potential promise is really the only thing high-draft picks have going for them - because they don't have a second of real NFL experience to put on their resumes. Looks like somebody thought he might show a _little_ promise.

Me too. My heart won't allow me to bet against the Panthers even though it is free money. Although I think the line probably gets closer with Andy instead of Bryce lol

So a Trey Lance situation.
No way.
They picked Bryce over Cj 😂
Bryce Young has shown absolutely nothing. Canales has Baker's seal of approval.
Baker was his own phenom way before Canales
Baker also had Mike Evans and Chris Godwin when he was there. The receivers Bryce has had can't sniff them

He's on a high school level team.. Stroud would have had his career ruined the same was Bryce is, if he were taken at 1, instead.. the second Bryce gets out of Carolina, he'll shine, just like Baker and Darnold.
But at least other QBs who started out in bad situations showed flashes of brilliance.
Trey won those games with a better coach and roster.
@@JH-so5ktit shows how much different the nfl is from college
We have to stop the “whoa, you took Bryce Young over Stroud” rhetoric. Bryce was #1 on Houston’s draft board too, and was #1 on many teams’ draft boards.

Hahahahah, that is an amazing Idea bro
If anyone watched that game and thought Bryce wasn't the reason they only scored a field goal, you weren't watching. The run game was working and as soon as Bryce got the ball, disaster.
Comparing Bryce to Russell Wilson is a huge slap in the face btw, Russell played NFL level football at least. There's a clear and easily visible difference.
Chuba hits that big run for a first down and the team looks fired up and has some momentum, Bryce throws a pick on the literal next play taking all the wind out of the sails. Jaycee Horn gets a redemption pick after giving up that TD and then the offense goes 3 and out. Their gutted defense tried to give them the chance to stay in the game vs the Chargers but then the offense doesnt do anything to help. Its hard to watch man lol
I was at the game. I was watching Bryce Young closely. His body language before, during, and after the game was horrendous, it is like he doesn't want to be there. Though he could change, at the moment, he is not a leader, he is not inspiring his teammates, he is a liability out there.

Kyler Murray is the same height as Bryce young, weighs 11 less than Bryce Young but Kyler Murray played like a champ against the LA Rams on Sunday.
He has a better team too. Young looks rough out there, but dude is probably tired of getting smacked around lol

Tua is not built for the NFL either. Hurts is a good player, nothing elite about him as a QB.

@@toddpacker1015 nope, year 3 is when the Browns were in the playoffs with Baker
Unfortunately, many QB's and players in general get ruined this way.
all we lost was 2 firsts 2 seconds CMC and DJ Moore but at least we got a benched qb to show for it!
