Sorry to bump an old video but I have some useful info. I was at 500+whp on a 3.5xtr with a 3" silicone inlet from a reputable mfr. During WOT in 4th my inlet was collapsing, felt like I was slamming on the brakes. This happened enough times (my fault) that I cracked a cylinder in my IAG stage 2 tuff. Hard inlets FTW!

I’ve been watching your videos now for about a month and I’ve decided your my favorite Subaru channel going right now. I’m rocking a Perrin 3” inlet on my STI and I like it. Phenolic manifold spacers give you that extra wiggle room.
Eyyyyy, appreciate the support my friend! What size spacers did you go with for that inlet? I'm using the 3mm which added a tint bump but helped a little bit
@@Dave-so7sf I was worried my 3" fp inlet was going to be too snug for my build. But I'm going to be running the 8mm spacers as well. That's one issue off my worry list.
Man, I just watched the last couple episodes in a row. What a roller coaster. You bring up something I never thought of. You gotta be careful with aftermarket parts playing nice together. Perrin probably put the master cylinder brace through a lot of tests and were really happy with it. But the thought of someone running an E85 kit never went through their mind. Awesome you got it running and that the tune got moved UP! ONE thing right now that actually didn't get delayed or canceled! And yeah, get out of the house.
