Really consodering getting one of these without actually using it for streaming. Really like having a usb port. Edit: had considered the tivo 4k for the older version of android.
So theres a system update should I install it or leave it as is? Have gotten nes, snes, sega, N64, psx, and psp all to play fine. Some you have to loaded in through a file explorer. Some PSP games are unplayable to much lag for this system.
So, do you know what version of Plus will allow me access to my external memory? I have no issue setting it up and I even imported a large part of my collection into internal memory, but that's only SNES and back
U can access your memory if it’s fat32. There’s a video he did on the first version of this box a few months ago. It’s very weird when pop ups come up, wants u to format. Don’t. Ignore it. It should read it fine.
Wait a second here dude! Theres no way,,, how is your remote working in retroarch? I installed the newest versio 1.19 and immediately opening the ONN remote does not work! Are you using the remote or a keyboard of some kind?
For some reason can't get any stand alone emulators to work on here roms won't be recognized off my usb drive seem like all have to put my roms on my Internal storage but on my nvidia shield I don't have this problem also can't get emulationstation to work on the onn 4k pro but it works on my nvidia shield
@@basicdadtech I tried n64 psp md.emu nes.emu snes9x Ex+ redream I got all the emulators those are the ones I've tried have you tried any stand alone emulators? It gives me the error message you dont have a app that can do this error message I get
You have to use 32 bit versions of emulators. Thing is, RetroArch 32 has taken care of all hassles with all emulator cores on their 32 up to ps1. And added redream and other things. Google has blocked visual pick ups like ESDE does for these little boxes. In case people try to create a plex server out of this. 32bit is the best you’ll get
people, dont bother running n64 games on this streaming box. Its cpu is not powerful enough. Youll only have problems. Use a recent cell phone with hdmi output to your tv and install a dedicated mullen n64 emulator on it and use a Bluetooth game controller with the phone.
I have the Onn 4K TV with Google TV (the version before this one) and installing the m64 plus mz and using a file manager to add games works perfectly even at 720p
So 64 still isn’t usable, but at least Dreamcast will work full force now with 3GB (do we really need anything else 😂) and I’m glad someone’s talking about file commander like I do. I do use the free 5GB of mobi as well. U can save your apps on there that don’t usually get updates and u can just click on them and they’ll install instead of you downloading them. Also, let’s say u wanna watch a movie and ur cooking or showering and you also want torrent? U can torrent from ur phone and send the completed file to mobi. Just some knowledge to pass down 😊

Do you mean what version of Retroarch plus? I’ve never used the Plus version.
How is the performance of the onn pro compared to the onn 4K for emulation? Is the price increase worth it?
I would say marginally better. Not a big difference.
The TV does run Gamecube games?
It will struggle.
Can you connect two controllers for two player games?
@jongrant6635 that’s a good question. I didn’t try that.

I think I was using the Xbox controller via Bluetooth.

Which standalone emulators have you tried? Best bet would be trying to find an older version of the emulator and sideloading.

I have the $14 stick version and N64 works fine on it beast
Use a standalone emulator not retroarch works flawless
Hi, can this device write to exfat or ntfs?
I read it cannot. The previous version can

I never tried torrenting from a phone. What app do you use for that?
@@basicdadtech Flud is a pretty good one. I once connected my phone to Ethernet (just for fun), and it didn't work.
@basicdadtech I'll also use like YTmp3 app for music and video Downloader if fmovies got it or to get classic cartoons off the web or websites.
