This was quite unnerving for me to publish... I'm not sure why.... perhaps because it feels luxurious to spend all that time to myself each morning. But the reality is, this is what I do and what I really enjoy - so I said to myself "share it LT and some may find some value in it." So here it is, and I hope you did find some value in it, even just a small bit.
After a bereavement & an injury I ended up in physio rehab which is still ongoing. But my physio is by a sports specialist physiotherapist and so it went from a comprehensive rehab programme to a training programme. My diet was low carb from 2012 and then has been for the past 3 yrs keto/low carb/carnivore. I am mid-50s and have never been physically, mentally, psychologically stronger including during LD. Bed between 8.30pm-9.30pm, up around 6am. Make bed. Then go into training programme for 5-6 days per week with 1 rest day (or 2 depending on work) all in a fasted state likewise as yourself. 1-2 days per week of yoga/pilates now advanced, 2 days of strength programme with separate mobility programmes, 1 day of HIIT, 1 day of Plyometric/pyramid training. Then about 1.5hrs of work with breakfast usually after 10am, although these days I am going back into the office so its around 9am. Head into the office around 10-10.30am then crack on with work until 2pm-3pm (with a protein/fats 1:1 lunch). If I am at home I head for a walk around the park with a 2kg weighted vest. If I am at work I buy something for my main meal from the artisanal butcher a few minutes walk away. Eat my main meal before 6pm (a lot of steak). Listen to podcasts or books or read for an hr before bed. Fast for 14-16hrs. The routine, the training, the nutrient dense food saved my life as I am on my own. LD has barely touched me in terms of its overarching effects. Thanks for sharing your morning routine. I do my domestics on a Saturday and on a Sunday go for 4-5 mile walk. Keeps me sane and strong. There are tremendous benefits to a daily disciplined life and exercise.
So much value in this, thank you! I did morning pages a long time ago and stopped because a boyfriend read them (without permission!) and used it against me. He is long gone and you've inspired me to start again...so many great ideas here. You rock :)
Things I like in this channel are 1> She is very simple, no loud background music etc 2> She is authentic and honest.. Including her insecurity and sharing about her personal life, age , financials.. That brings my favourite quote by Goggin, "if you are not giving your 100% what am I doing in here"
I don't achieve as much as I would like in my mornings, ever. But getting up at 5:30 am every day helps. I sometimes get half of my morning goals done and that feels like a huge win for me.
You have created such a great environment and a foundation of positivity and personal development for the world to incorporate and benefit from. Bless you LT😘
Setting up the routine of getting up and going to bed the same time each day, regardless of the time of year (ie time change doesn't change when I get up), has been life-changing for this life-long chronic insomniac!
This was so insightful, thanks for sharing it. I don’t think one should feel a routine of self care is luxurious - we all have different lives, and to a certain extent, can choose how to fill them. Life is not a dress rehearsal, so do what you enjoy, because tomorrow is promised to no-one. As you can probably tell, I tend to live in the moment! My routine is up early around 0530, pint of tea then out for a 2 mile dog walk in the countryside. When I return it’s 10-20 mins mobility / yoga, followed by breath work for 10 mins. Then I exercise - either weight training or running for 40-60 minutes depending on my day. Cold shower after so that’s my cold water immersion done. Finally it’s house chores before my work day starts around 0830.
Hey LT, i just recently stumbled across your channel and i am really enjoying it. I saw nearly every video now and i am wishing all the best for the upcoming future and you really have my respect for that brave step you took. Cheers and much support from Germany
It's refreshing to see a morning routine from someone who isn't a male productivity hustle bro. Getting up at 5 am without coffee already makes you superhuman to me!
This is great, thanks! I tend to play an online board game, while waking up. But, I don't like that I'm caught up in a state of competition, first thing in the morning. I'd like to get more into a state of creating, than competing, in general. I don't necessarily have two hours to spend, but I can see doing some journaling or something and then maybe going for a walk. Anyway, thanks again for sharing your routine. Blessings! - Claire
As a mum with a life partner... That morning routine looks wonderful. But I have one I like now, started one a year ago - to try and help me work through some health problems I have been dealing with. I get an hour and 15mins (i am not, and never have been a morning person) mine is a 6am wake up, hot water - (tea not working for me anymore) then its yoga for 20-60mins (health wise I have had to give up running and impact training temporarily, yoga has saved me and kept me sane!!) then its meditate with whatever time I have left, get the kids up. Make their lunches, get them off to school. Get home make my one single shot coffee (don't ask me why coffee works for me... more than tea, but it does) for the day, journal, organize my life, emails, get the easy done quick jobs done... quick 20 mins house tidy up (so the house feels nice) then its the day! Given limited time to myself I pick yoga and meditation above everything else. Its a matter of what makes you feel the best and putting them first. At the start of trying stuff out.. i did all the breathing stuff, the cold shower, the writing and I simply didn't have the time. When I started taking stuff out and in... what I always REALLY missed was yoga and meditating. Writing I can put into my day in snatches, cold showers I confess I am not too worried about not doing! Breathing techniques I just do now... before bed, walking places... in the car... anywhere!!! I do rate them morning routines now. I tell all my new mum friends, that once the kids are sleeping through, to get up an hour before the kids do and try doing things for themselves - things that makes them feel amazing.
"Its a matter of what makes you feel the best and putting them first" Yes, yes YES!!!! What is non-negotiable? For me, it's Morning Pages and exercise.
Thanks for all the indepth videos Laura - really like the ongoing experiments. Our morning routines look pretty similar - I use Notion for most of my journalling so that I review quickly and habit track as well. I prefer meditation before journalling. The days I exercise journalling and meditation can seem a bit compressed.
I'd really like to try this. I've managed to wake up without snoozing which has made a big difference to me. But i spend time reading the news in the morning. Which i then listen to again most of the day, so no need to read it all in the morning.
this really offered me an extra boost of inspiration ....I'm heading into my first week of exchanging my coffee habit for green tea in moderation -- I've had the sense that tuning up my morning routine could play an important role in finding wellbeing at the start of my day without coffee and now I am kind of even looking forward to the challenge of it and seeing what turns up :)
I personally like this. Thank you for sharing. I think it is very important to have a morning routine that allows us to meditate and exercise at the minimum. Unfortunately I came to the realization that although simple, it is a luxury that many cannot afford.
Thanks for sharing your morning routine, I like how it's straight forward and non hipsterish. It made me laugh when I saw the wheelie bin, I'm just imagining the neighbours looking out the window saying 'she's in the wheelie bin again' lol. I'm a night owl so morning routines are a challenge for me but after watching this I'm going to try again to make some small changes to mine.
Brilliant, I usually get up at 4:30am and smash it out, very similar to yourself and my first drink is 500ml of plain water at room temperature, I have studied martial arts since the 70’s and apply some of the ‘kata’ using a relaxation method! At 58 i personally believe that during the golden hour (day break) i am reaping the benefits of mind and body every single day!
I started getting up at 6 last year and often it's now 5.30 (because I'm in marathon training) and I love it for exactly the same reasons. I still feel energetic in the morning, no distractions, I get loads of stuff done before I set off for work. I might keep going after the marathon.
awesome work with the marathon training Gin 👊 When the clock is in the hour of 5, that's when the good stuff happens 💫 Keep me posted if you keep it up.
Love that express at 4:54 "I just have Charlie" ;) I noticed in your day planner you are using military time. Recognized it from my time in the service stationed in Edzell Scotland.
What a great, positive and structured morning routine. Defo could do with one of those ... and defo need me a cat 😃. Trust inspiring Laura and really love your wellbeing, exercise and health tips. Thank you and happy international women's day 🥰
wow this sounds so productive as a morning routine, recently i've been struggling to get up early because i go to bed so insanely late and it is definitely worse, i might try some of these I love the scene where you're visualizing al lthe different words haha
Absolutely love your videos Laura, you make living a more balanced and healthy lifestyle seem so much more than just a checklist or an aesthetics driven goal. I find you so calming and motivating, thank you ✨
Laura, I love your videos, and this one is something I really needed! I do have a hard time getting going in the morning, and I know it's because I use the evenings after my family has gone to bed to relax, but I stay up too late doing unproductive things. I want to flip that around, go to bed at a decent time, get up early and be productive. I've already cut out caffeine, I workout 4-5 days a week, usually dont eat until noon. I do get distracted by my phone, I have to be ok with putting it away somewhere until it's truly needed. And I need to know how the hell you get in and out of that bin! 😆 ice baths scare the shit out of me but I'm so intrigued! Thank you for being so forthcoming with your life! Also, I'm from SLC Utah, but I lived in East Anglia for 4 years many moons ago. I miss the UK so much even after all this time, and watching your videos makes me feel like I'm there with a friend ❤️ you are so relatable and I look forward to more!! Much love from the States✌️
Thanks for sharing your update Marlena. The phone makes time disappear. If you can put it away and focus on some self-care. It takes a lot (!!) of discipline but over time it gets easier, and then the time alone becomes addictive.
I recently found your channel, and I just love you, LT! You have such a light shining from you in everything you do, even when you talk about the hard things. Your adventurous spirit is contagious. And your morning routine is great! Where did you find your lap desk? I need something like that for my mornings!
Get up. Coffee (freshlygrinded). Enjoy the quietness while the kids are still sleeping. Meditation for 20 to 40 minutes. 30 minutes of running/walking/moving outside.
sounds like a dream Filip! 20-40 minutes of meditation is fantastic! All that quiet time - KUDOS to you 🙌🏼 I'm absolutely itching to get on after 10 minutes.
I'm going to try a routine myself. I like to do the writing regime before bed, really find that helps my sleep. I use a journal from amazon £30 but for a year its brilliant. Luckily I'm in the same position, no kids or partner....sometimes I think I have too much time on my hands! haha
Thank you for the inspiration! I've lost my routine as my life took a twist recently. But after 3 weeks after the (7th) surgery, I should just find a new routine, even though for a few weeks and then a new one...as my fitness will improve. I still can't do much (not even walk), but I can do much more than a week ago.
@@LauraTryUK Thank you, it's quite a challenge mostly for my mind to accept that from a completely independent and productive, and active woman, I rely on the help of others, locked in my apartment most of the time, I lost most of my productivity as I lost ways for (active) relax time... But today, I go even to my yoga class...mostly just to be there :-D (and I haven't managed to stick to any of my morning plans...but tomorrow is another day and another possibility to give it a try) :-)
Thank you Laura, I have a morning routine for years now but of late have drifted watching your routine has given me some ideas about structure going to give it a go. I always seem to struggle with journaling my entries become very repetitive. X🙏🏻x
Maybe as you say your journaling entries become repetitive might be a sign your not doing enough in your life in order for them not to be so repetitive?
Hey Elizabeth, I'm pleased you like this video. Hopefully this will make you feel better - my morning pages can be repetitive - like a broken record sometimes. I just figure, if it's there write it. It may change, it may not. Either way, it helps. I encourage you to start again x
I live alone with no children or husband too. I am completely spoiled in that my time in the morning is mine alone. I get up an hour before I have to start getting ready for work and do some exercise, such as walking and/or yoga, and then shower and breakfast. Of course before I exercise, I love a big glass of water, but no tea or coffee for me. I do what feels right in my body...if I'm tired, I take it easy or rest, and if I'm energetic, I walk faster or do a more challenging yoga practice. I figure in the summer, I'll start biking to work again, or maybe walking to work. Right now it's just too dangerous with no sidewalks (they are covered in ice and snow even after the town tries to clean them). I like to walk where traffic is low and when not many people are driving, such as early morning hours. I agree that a morning routine where you give yourself time to be with your thoughts and wake up really starts out the day. To add, I really like the idea of a gratitude practice in the morning. Thanks for you recommendations. I typically do my meditation in bed before I sleep so I can unwind.
That us really inspiring. I'm working on going to bed earlier, and waking up earlier, but seeing you do all this activity in the mornings makes me nauseous, to be honest. Love a slow start, and let the energy build during the day, but am trying to become a morning person. Right now, I just hate mornings. Can't be good.
What a fantastic routine to take through life , I’ll try to get into it into the spring and summer , I’ve taken in the local wandering cat as well , he’s a warrior and is always coming in with cuts to his ears and head , he loves his food though and very clever .
This is a great video. Thanks so much for posting it. I love how down to earth it is…no pricey equipment or fancy journals. Nothing hipster about it at all! Just things set out in a clear and relatable way, that I’d like to put into my morning routine. I’m not sure about the cold bin thing. Maybe a 30 second blast in the shower to start off with! I’d really like to know where your stand up desk is from. Does it fold away too?
Hey, I'm pleased you liked this! The cold shower idea sounds like a great plan. I use a Harmoni standng desk. I made two videos about standing desks: 1. Review: ua-cam.com/video/H8QT44K3c_g/v-deo.html 2. 100 days of using a standing desk: ua-cam.com/video/DTs0Pv2dn_o/v-deo.html
@@LauraTryUK thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it! I’ve already changed my morning and bedtime routines as a result of your tips and shared experiences AND I feel better for it! Keep on keepin’ on! And now…..the cold shower 🥶
Love your morning routine! Starting the day with intentional structure has been a huge struggle for me, argh! I have watched other AM routines on UA-cam and yours resonates the most. Thanks for the inspiration!
Funny thing is nearly every gym person i ever spoke too admits they are always stronger after a holiday. Like 1 or 2 weeks off the gym. They come back fully recovered and ready to smash it. But few ever realise less is more in body building 😊
Thanks for sharing this. I love your "no show-off" type of style. I'm not a morning person but I've had to become one since I got kids, and I am now working to incorporate a (short) morning routine each day, basically at least 5/10 minutes of yoga before the day starts. I know how good it makes me feel. Just need to start being more consistent at it. PS: I love your channel
I often think about being a night owl, having kids, and fitting into the 9-5 work schedule - it must be tricky for some, so kudos to you! And really great about the 5-10 minutes of yoga - it's cool to hear that it makes you feel great. a bit of time to ourselves, even just 5 minutes can be real powerful. Thanks for the nice comment 🙏🏼
I quite like the "morning papers" idea. I've been getting up earlier than I need to for a wee while. Nothing structured but I know from experience if I rush myself before heading out to work I'll feel a bit off all day. Thinking about it I mentally do something of the things you physically do but I'm definitely thinking about setting that alarm a wee bit earlier and seeing what else I could do. TBH I often don't feel that great first thing and tend to feel better as the day goes on, so if I could bring that better feeling timeslot earlier that would be great! 😍
I can relate to the rushing Alan. I spent most of my adult life rushing. The past 2 years I stopped rushing. I'm looking forward to hearing how your day shift goes. Move that circadian clock and see what happens 💫
You are really an amazing woman inspiring others… the ice bath is the best i love ur routine i wanna see more of this type of videos and include more exercising routines
I am pleased you liked this video Khadija. I have some more videos like this planned so really pleased to hear you would like to see more. My exercise routines are coming within the next few videos.
Thanks Laura - Great video. Morning routines can be a wonderful way to kickstart the day. Been doing mine since 2015. Big glass water, + vitamins/ supplements, small coffee, 10 mins stretching, 10 mins meditation, gratitude practice, plan for the day. BTW, if you find it a bit long-winded or time-inefficient to write out your daily task list planning by hand, I can recommend Dynalist (free software /app). Keeps me organsied and on point, minus the writer's cramp!! P.S. Time stamping daily tasks is the way to go!
I love your morning routine Parry, what a fantastic way to start the day! Thanks for the recommendation on the app as well - I do prefer to be analogue though. Being on the computer all day means my mornings are a real treat with pen and paper 😀
I´m just doing the Artist´s Way following your review on it and I am LOVING morning pages. I hadn´t written a diary since being a teenager because for some reason I felt stupid as an adult writing to myself but thanks to the morning pages I am back to a regular writing routine which really is a sort of therapy. Also, I am 36, no partner, no kids and although society puts so much emphasis on having all of these, I feel so free and am happy every day to have this time. It´s not a matter of privilege or luxuxry (in the Western world i.e., ) but of choice. I choose to have time for self development. Don´t feel bad about it! Thanks for yet another inspiring video!!
Super cool to hear you started doing Morning Pages again Antje, they really are like therapy. The best therapist I ever saw 😂 What week of the Artists's Way are you on?
@@LauraTryUK Thanks so much for your reply!! I´m in week 5 now (doubled week 4 to be honest. There was a lot of writing involved ( the letters to your 80 year old self eg) and I didn´t have time to do all so decided to "extend" week 4 ;) Now Im in week 5 and can´t wait to carve out time to do the activites tomorrow. Do you have any suggestions what you did on your artist dates btw? Mine are mainly going out for walks in nature but I do that anyway so it feels like I´m cheating a bit ;)
@@antje8303 snap on repeating some weeks, I think that is realistic. Well done for making it to weeks 5 💪 I did the course in lockdown so it was very tricky to have a proper date - like you, walks in nature. I sometimes do an artist's date now - go for a meal at my favorite cafe and people watch, visit a local antique shop, to the library to look at books I would never usually look at. Even a garden centre and take pictures of flowers. Please keep me posted on the course and your dates.x
Hey Maren 👋 it's super cool you are doing the Matt D course! what a course! How are you getting on with it? Edit: OOOOH! Hello! You did the Hampton calisthenics course???!!!
Love this video! Especially the writing/logging, I could probably benefit from the planning with timestamps 😅 The ice bath wheelie bin is such a good idea! Do you leave water in it year-round? How do you do it in summer? I'm in Canada so I feel like I could probably only use it from October til April, and even then there's going to be a lot of days where it's just a frozen block :)
Thankyou for this video laura, super inspiring stuff, currently coming out of a depression but still feeling really tired all the time, so ill follow this in baby steps, thankyou!!
Hey Esme, it is great to hear you are coming out of depression, well done for taking baby steps. I can relate to the tiredness, everything is such hard work. I had it really bad many years ago. Keep moving forward. (some of) these things will point you in the right direction 💫 I really wish you well.
Thank you LT! I’m inspired! I have to be at work at 7:30 but I could negotiate with my boss to start 8:30, that would give me 3 hours without a rush. I’m also an early bird and a fan of morning routine but was struggling with a full time job. I also have a kitty and morning cuddle is a must! :-) Please share your evening routine and something special for the weekend. I’m single and my weekends are usually an energy crush. Could use advice and more inspiration from you!!
power to you for asking to start at 8:30 Elana - that's super cool! I wonder if you will get more out of your day by having more morning to yourself? please keep me posted. I have a very basic evening routine but nothing extensive. Also right now, I am immersed in 'video-creation-mode" so my weekends are quite bland 😂 what do you mean by an energy crush at the weekends? I have added your requests to my video list 👍
@@LauraTryUK Thank you LT! About my weekends: the work week is all go-go-go, so on Saturdays I feel tired and lazy and procrastinating doing laundry or chores. And the weekends end up being disappointing…. On Monday, I feel rested enough but when colleagues ask “how was your weekend?” I say: “Meh” I don’t want to actively date, like using dating sites, because iI had no luck with it… 2 divorces, countless breakups… Yoga studio still closed, that was Saturday morning; Meditation center moved on zoom, Sunday morning… Not the same as used to be in person.. Im in U.S., Seattle. Thanks again for all your amazing videos!!
@@bellaavani aha! I get it now. Yes, I can relate mildly, but just recently have become very introverted. I'm working hard in the week and using the weekend to take stock and recharge. My weekends are very bland, perhaps boring to most, but I enjoy them the way they are for now. Perhaps not forever though. and weekend chores... don't even get me started. I can't bear them, if I had it my way, I wouldn't do them but the circumstances I am in I have to, which is probably a good thing 😉
@@LauraTryUK You make me think and examine my life, what works and what doesn’t. I’ll start brainstorming and trying things and let you know what I came up with. I already have ideas brewing in my head how to improve my weekends . I want to have a felling on Monday that I had an amazing weekend. 😀 I’m also introverted, so it might not involve other people or going out… Best of luck with your next videos - looking forward to more! What you do is so important, gives me such a support and motivation!! I could never ever do what you can, but on a small scale , maybe I can. I started fasting more regularly, cold water after shower, breathing exercises. Plan to try running soon. If I feel lazy, I watch your videos and think - LT can do it, means it’s possible for a human being, and human body has this enormous potential of strength and endurance, sooo maybe I can do just a tiny ittle bit of something similar… 😀
@@bellaavani This reply is wonderful, thank you Elena. Today has been a big and busy today planning a big video project for the future. It's taken a lot out of me so your comment made me feel lovely 💖 i love that you are doing all those things - a healthy and cheerful life ahead!
Laura you are a total jewel in this media and this world!!!!! I would never have the drive to do such, but I love seeing you… I get inspired to do my own. How do you experience not having children? Do you have a boyfriend or girlfriend? And I adore Charlie!!!!!!! You make an amazing match!!!!
Hey Ximena, thank you for your nice words. I made the decision to not have children many years ago - perhaps I will explain in a future video. Or perhaps not. I am not dating, but would like to find a boyfriend in the future. The time is not right at the moment. I think Charlie picked up on my 'that-body-should-be-having-children-and-she-needs-someone-to love vibes' 😂 He chose well, I adore animals.
This is very inspiring and I love the cat supervision too! For the gratitude journal, do you find yourself repeating the same things or do you try to come up with new ones each day? When do you eat breakfast?
Hey Carrie, I try to come up with different things each day. Sometimes I will turn a negative into a positive with the gratitude journal, for instance: if I have many things to do that day and feel overwhelmed, I will write "I am grateful for the many opportunities I have at work." i eat my first meal at around 12pm when we have lunch. I intermittent fast (18:6 approx)
On the contrary - hugging the cat is an important part of the routine. You get a burst of serotonin and oxytocin from scritching your furry companions. With my task lists I prefer to put a time estimate rather than a time stamp, so even of the list looks huge and daunting, if there are a lot of 5-15 minute things it does not look as bad. Plus it helps then to group things together into periods, pre-lunch, post lunch etc. The last 2 years, my morning exercise for that 5-ish days per week is one of the big things that has kept me relatively stable. It gets me out of bed on mornings I may not want to. Plus it doubles as moving meditation/mindfulness. It's hard to be worried about a deadline when you're more worried about dropping a weight on your head. Plus I have my music on to help with focus. And in Winter - triple duty of getting cold exposure on top of that. Working out in shorts and a thin top in 1oC is "interesting". I do cold showers - but that is a night-time thing for me as I find it helps me to sleep, as well as clear the mind of the day's issues. I still need to force myself, even after several years of doing so. Like you, if I forego any of these things - the regret afterwards is worse than doing it.
This was quite unnerving for me to publish... I'm not sure why.... perhaps because it feels luxurious to spend all that time to myself each morning.
But the reality is, this is what I do and what I really enjoy - so I said to myself "share it LT and some may find some value in it."
So here it is, and I hope you did find some value in it, even just a small bit.
Great video, I look forward to watching the detailed follow up vids 👍

Hey LT, i just recently stumbled across your channel and i am really enjoying it. I saw nearly every video now and i am wishing all the best for the upcoming future and you really have my respect for that brave step you took. Cheers and much support from Germany
Hey x3on, it's great to have you here and thank you for your support. I am pleased you are enjoying the videos!
Greetings to Germany from the UK 👋
Having your own time is absolutely a luxury that I don't appreciate as much as I should. Thanks for sharing your routine!! ✨
I'd really like to try this. I've managed to wake up without snoozing which has made a big difference to me. But i spend time reading the news in the morning. Which i then listen to again most of the day, so no need to read it all in the morning.
this really offered me an extra boost of inspiration ....I'm heading into my first week of exchanging my coffee habit for green tea in moderation -- I've had the sense that tuning up my morning routine could play an important role in finding wellbeing at the start of my day without coffee and now I am kind of even looking forward to the challenge of it and seeing what turns up :)
well, this is a very exciting comment! Please let me know how you get on with exchanging your caffeine habit Heather 🙏🏼
Green tea for the win! 😆
Love your channel.
I started a 3 week waterfast yesterday.
You inspired me.
Thank you from Sweden
I really like how down to earth you are and the way you explain your self don't feel bad cos you have worked you life to be like this much respect
Thank you Paul 🙏🏼 For some reason this one was a scary one to publish.
I love this vid. Very goal driven. I like your drive
These videos on your daily discipline and the 30 day challenges are your absolute best videos!
I'm pleased you like them Meghan!! Thank you! 🙏🏼
Brilliant, I usually get up at 4:30am and smash it out, very similar to yourself and my first drink is 500ml of plain water at room temperature, I have studied martial arts since the 70’s and apply some of the ‘kata’ using a relaxation method! At 58 i personally believe that during the golden hour (day break) i am reaping the benefits of mind and body every single day!
early morning is my absolute favorite time 🌅
Loving your standing desk and enjoying all your vids, thank you
Totally going to pinch your gratitude journal routine. I never know what to write so structure is what I need. Oh and Charlie is gorgeous 😻
I will be making a video about the gratitude journal and morning pages Jan, so hoping to share some more info.
I started getting up at 6 last year and often it's now 5.30 (because I'm in marathon training) and I love it for exactly the same reasons. I still feel energetic in the morning, no distractions, I get loads of stuff done before I set off for work. I might keep going after the marathon.
awesome work with the marathon training Gin 👊
When the clock is in the hour of 5, that's when the good stuff happens 💫
Keep me posted if you keep it up.
Love that express at 4:54 "I just have Charlie" ;)
I noticed in your day planner you are using military time.
Recognized it from my time in the service stationed in Edzell Scotland.
Dear Laura, please make a video of what and how you eat! Thanks
Hello, I have it on my list and will make that this year 👍
Thank you for the suggestion.
What a great, positive and structured morning routine. Defo could do with one of those ... and defo need me a cat 😃. Trust inspiring Laura and really love your wellbeing, exercise and health tips. Thank you and happy international women's day 🥰
Love you laura stay healthy and happy ☺️❤️❤️
Thanks Sara, always 💫 You too!
Great video Big T. Not sure how I missed it up until now.
wow this sounds so productive as a morning routine, recently i've been struggling to get up early because i go to bed so insanely late and it is definitely worse, i might try some of these
I love the scene where you're visualizing al lthe different words haha
Absolutely love your videos Laura, you make living a more balanced and healthy lifestyle seem so much more than just a checklist or an aesthetics driven goal. I find you so calming and motivating, thank you ✨
I'm pleased you like my videos Ella 🙏🏼
Me too! Am more of a night owl and find myself rushing in the morning, grumpy and takes a while to get going and get into a positive happy zone
I am mesmerised. Your beauty in all aspects
I was waiting this video and as you've promised you've delivered it:D Thank you for sharing your routine!
would LOVE to see more about the moring pages! will have to implement some of this into my routine
I will make a video about Morning Pages in a few videos time - they are incredible Joff! 💫
LT, you are a Powerhouse! Grateful that I found your channel.
It's great to have you here Dean 👊
@@LauraTryUK 💪🏾🙏🏾
I am eagerly awaiting the followup blood test video. Today I am on day 3 of my water fast after I saw yours.
Thanks for another amazing video, and no it is not hipster or cliché. :)
I recently found your channel, and I just love you, LT! You have such a light shining from you in everything you do, even when you talk about the hard things. Your adventurous spirit is contagious. And your morning routine is great! Where did you find your lap desk? I need something like that for my mornings!
Brilliant routine Laura 🎉
Get up. Coffee (freshlygrinded). Enjoy the quietness while the kids are still sleeping. Meditation for 20 to 40 minutes. 30 minutes of running/walking/moving outside.
sounds like a dream Filip! 20-40 minutes of meditation is fantastic! All that quiet time - KUDOS to you 🙌🏼
I'm absolutely itching to get on after 10 minutes.
great video, i have definitely taken some inspiration from it! x
I'm going to try a routine myself. I like to do the writing regime before bed, really find that helps my sleep. I use a journal from amazon £30 but for a year its brilliant. Luckily I'm in the same position, no kids or partner....sometimes I think I have too much time on my hands! haha
Another uplifting video, filled with lots of inspiration. Thanks LT🙏
Thank you for the inspiration! I've lost my routine as my life took a twist recently. But after 3 weeks after the (7th) surgery, I should just find a new routine, even though for a few weeks and then a new one...as my fitness will improve. I still can't do much (not even walk), but I can do much more than a week ago.
it sounds as though you are making great improvements and finding the positives Kristyna, I wish you all the best with your recovery 🌟
Charlie seems to approve. Well done.
Thanks for sharing your morning routine. It's inspiring me. I'm thinking of it for years. Time to get it done. Have a nice day
Time to get it done 💪
I loved this! A thorough explanation of each step of your morning routine, and a realistic, relatable routine. Thanks for sharing. ♥️
I love to start my morning with a glass of water and a two mile walk in the sun thru sn almond orchard.
that sounds absolutely fantastic!
Good job Laura. It's hard for some of us to put ourselves first.
I typically do my meditation in bed before I sleep so I can unwind.
your day sounds lovely Apple 🥰
@@LauraTryUK thank you, as do yours.
@@LauraTryUK 🥰
great video I look forward to seeing them. thumbs up form Australia
Thanks for sharing Laura.
Way to go, Laura -- Also, gracias por este video 😎
Muchas gracias Sam 🙏🏼
Thanks for sharing this with us 👍👏👏
That us really inspiring. I'm working on going to bed earlier, and waking up earlier, but seeing you do all this activity in the mornings makes me nauseous, to be honest. Love a slow start, and let the energy build during the day, but am trying to become a morning person. Right now, I just hate mornings. Can't be good.
you may be a night owl small footprint .... go with what your natural circadian rhythm tells if possible.
This is one of the best routines I have seen. It’s not pretentious thanks for sharing . What do you do on those days that you sleep later than 8.30?
Great video 💘♥️ thank u!!
Nice, thanks for sharing. Cheers
Oh I wish haha 2 cats, 3 kids and a husband. I do want to find time for me sometime during the day and I will because I need to.
What a fantastic routine to take through life , I’ll try to get into it into the spring and summer , I’ve taken in the local wandering cat as well , he’s a warrior and is always coming in with cuts to his ears and head , he loves his food though and very clever .
oh... the wandering cat 😍 some of them really decide where they like to go don't they 😂
This is a great video.
I made two videos about standing desks:
1. Review: ua-cam.com/video/H8QT44K3c_g/v-deo.html
2. 100 days of using a standing desk: ua-cam.com/video/DTs0Pv2dn_o/v-deo.html
@@LauraTryUK thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it! I’ve already changed my morning and bedtime routines as a result of your tips and shared experiences AND I feel better for it! Keep on keepin’ on! And now…..the cold shower 🥶
Another great video Laura, thanks for sharing😃
Love your morning routine! Starting the day with intentional structure has been a huge struggle for me, argh! I have watched other AM routines on UA-cam and yours resonates the most. Thanks for the inspiration!
I admire you very much
Muy bien, no es algo que me veo haciendo, pero también tengo mis morning routines ☺️
¿En qué consiste tu rutina matutina?
Loved it, LT. Excited for the next video!!
@@LauraTryUK I do feel much better as a converted morning person than as the innate night owl I was born into lol
Just came across your channel. I love it! So positive and encouraging and motivating. Thank you for sharing! :)
Thanks for the video LT, great stuff to try here. Cheers!
What's an inspiring share!
Thanks guys! I've got the OpenRuns to help me exercise 💪
Thank you for sharing this... Your videos are always uplifting and positive... Sorry that this was unnerving for you... Again thanks...
All the lovely comments got rid of the nerves Billy 😀
Thank you!
love you so much. life saving Laura ♥
Great video once again. Thank you 🙏
I’d be ready for bed again by the time I’ve done all that!
😂 😂 it actually gives me energy!
As someone who really struggles with morning routines this is really inspirational. Big Thanks!
The best therapist I ever saw 😂
What week of the Artists's Way are you on?
Well done for making it to weeks 5 💪
I did the course in lockdown so it was very tricky to have a proper date - like you, walks in nature.
I sometimes do an artist's date now - go for a meal at my favorite cafe and people watch, visit a local antique shop, to the library to look at books I would never usually look at. Even a garden centre and take pictures of flowers.
Please keep me posted on the course and your dates.x
@@LauraTryUK Ah yes, I remember you mentioning the lockdown now... but your artist dates sound cool! I'll see what else I can come up with!😃
i am exhausted even watching ... very impressive.

Brilliant stuff, Laura - as always! 🤩👍🏻
Thanks Laura for a great video! I'm also going through Matt D'Avella's course and have loved to watch your channel grow!
Hey Maren 👋 it's super cool you are doing the Matt D course! what a course!
How are you getting on with it?
Edit: OOOOH! Hello! You did the Hampton calisthenics course???!!!
Love this video! Especially the writing/logging, I could probably benefit from the planning with timestamps 😅
The ice bath wheelie bin is such a good idea! Do you leave water in it year-round? How do you do it in summer? I'm in Canada so I feel like I could probably only use it from October til April, and even then there's going to be a lot of days where it's just a frozen block :)
Thankyou for this video laura,
super inspiring stuff, currently coming out of a depression but still feeling really tired all the time, so ill follow this in baby steps, thankyou!!
Hey Esme, it is great to hear you are coming out of depression, well done for taking baby steps.
I can relate to the tiredness, everything is such hard work. I had it really bad many years ago.
Keep moving forward. (some of) these things will point you in the right direction 💫
I really wish you well.
@@LauraTryUK ty Laura,
Much appreciated, also ty for your genuineness in your videos, I feel so good after watching them!

😀 I’m also introverted, so it might not involve other people or going out…
Best of luck with your next videos - looking forward to more!
It's taken a lot out of me so your comment made me feel lovely 💖

where do you get the energy and motivation to do so much before your day has even really begun?
Laura you are a total jewel in this media and this world!!!!! I would never have the drive to do such, but I love seeing you… I get inspired to do my own. How do you experience not having children? Do you have a boyfriend or girlfriend? And I adore Charlie!!!!!!! You make an amazing match!!!!
Hey Ximena, thank you for your nice words.
I made the decision to not have children many years ago - perhaps I will explain in a future video. Or perhaps not.
I am not dating, but would like to find a boyfriend in the future. The time is not right at the moment.

@@LauraTryUK Thank you for taking the Time, energy and heart to respond!!! would be lovely to hear about any inner processes you wish to share!!! 💛💛💛
This is very inspiring and I love the cat supervision too! For the gratitude journal, do you find yourself repeating the same things or do you try to come up with new ones each day? When do you eat breakfast?
Hey Carrie, I try to come up with different things each day. Sometimes I will turn a negative into a positive with the gratitude journal, for instance: if I have many things to do that day and feel overwhelmed, I will write "I am grateful for the many opportunities I have at work."
i eat my first meal at around 12pm when we have lunch. I intermittent fast (18:6 approx)
Wim Hof breathng for 15-20 minutes, cold shower, calisthenics, coffee/tea, 3 to 4 mile walk. Still working on the getting up early part, lol.
NIIIIIIIIIICE!!!!!!!
OH!!! The oxytocin - so much oxytocin!!! 🥰
Thanks for sharing what you do - it sounds great!
I like what you said about grouping things together too!
Love this !! I am trying to start a morning routine so thank you ! Looking forward to hearing about your exercise routine x
