Being and ex racer also, as are most of my riding buddy`s. We tend to ride a little more aggressive then most to the point others won`t go with us. LOL So being 6'4" if it was your money which new 850 would be the choice for you. The Indy 129 or the XCR 850 or the XRS. Being new and unproven, I`m not to sure about the new Indy`s slide compared to the XCR or XRS

The black plastic on the back isn't just for the LINQ system. The plastic on the back is for the battery which they moved to center the mass from left to right. Good video!

  • @mudbrats

Great walk around. Just a couple of FYI.... the freeride doesnt have the plastic cover behind the seat because that is where the battery is on the trail sleds. The adjustable bars do not go Up and Dowm, on this acccessory, the move fore and aft. The beauty of that design is the bars stay completely level (no roll). Ski-doo continues to rewrite the book on accessories and design. Keep up the good work.

To my knowledge there are currently two carbide lengths available for the pilot ts ski, but I was told that there was a third longer option available when they first came out with the ski. I was also told it is no longer available. I’m asking because I like to ride hard in the twisty‘ and for sure want to know my sled is going to turn when I get to the corner. That being said, I know a split second of throttle let off helps to set the front end when entering the corner. I’m always striving to get my set up that good that I don’t have to do this.
I’m riding a 2016 MXZ XRS 800 and I weigh 260. I don’t care how hard it is to turn the skis as long as they turn when asked to.
I was in Munising Michigan last year and the snow was more like the consistency of sleet. Had to modify most of my set up to work in it. The carbides I pretty much ran all the way down. When crossing some railroad tracks the one carbide bit pretty hard. I had to rebuild my front end at the end of the season. Do you think this ski with the carbide all the way down could be a problem under those conditions? Considering how I ride, would another ski be a better fit?

I know that BRP isn't offering Lynx in North America, but writing this from a country where we have both Ski-Doo and Lynx on the market I'd love to see a comparison between their competing models. Sure, a lot i similar, but that also makes the comparison fair, it will be things like suspension etc that would be main focus.
My personal impression is that Lynx is a bit sturdier build, and to be honest, way more popular. But then again, a test from you guys would be awesome. Come over to Sweden or Finland and do a proper episode!

I just started my two boys into sledding this year and after watching your shows I decided to buy two of the fan cooled Indy's . I enjoy all your tests and walk arounds because I know I will have to upgrade someday !
I would like to know more about fan cooled sleds and what in the the future for our fan cooled motors technology and and innovation ?
I would also like to learn more about the new 200cc Arctic Cat Yamaha ( because I put a deposit on one and just waiting till they get new stock ) and are the others planning one too ?

I'd like to see a comparison of sleds for part time 2 rider use. Use case is the sled is mostly used for a single rider, but sometimes a wife/child wants to come along too. How does a full time 2 up sled (i.e. Grand Touring) compare to a single rider sled (i.e. Renegade) with the second link seat added on.

Gabe G They're pretty close, I find the 154 gets up on top a bit quicker (more to do with the 3 inch compared to the 2.4). I did find the 154 was a lot better on the sidehill, it didn't trench out nearly as easy.

Awesome machine, sure it can show an outstanding performance, but number of tiny, fragile and complex parts, i mean plastic ones and others, well, it sometimes makes me confused about their utility and possibillity to repair them in tough conditions or in the situation when there ain't too many service or diler centers somewhere around.

  • @myrongriffin989

Plan to machine the belt guard with the 850. When squeezing the throttle the belt rides high, heats up and detonates . Takes 2 hours to cut the scrap free. SkiDoo refuses to hear about the problem. Piss poor customer service.
