How to make a dos bootable usb jump drive to load bios on computer

Using a program called Rufus, you can make your usb jump drive bootable to dos. then you can use it for flashing your bios.

As others have said man, Ive looked all over UA-cam, google and a number of different forums. You have the most detailed straight forward video out there.. Air high fives all around! I appreciate you taking the time to explain this. Something you might want to do for those less experienced guys or gals is explain what each sub command means.. Ie DIR, EXE, C, Root so on and so forth. I noticed a few people asking and they mentioned having the .exe or bios, they just lack the understanding of how to find that file to execute it in Free DOS. Typing in "dir" works perfect. Typing "cd dos" gives an error of CHDIR failed for 'dos'. Please help.

What about updating my motherboard bios? I didn't get them rom win dos files with rufus or my bios download. Do I just add my bios without those files? Or do I have to guess what they are and where to get them for it to even work?

When i try to update BIOS normally thorugh windows, it doesn't work and it says that i have to update it by an usb drive, So i used this way.

my Dell precision t1700 Bios been corrupted and is unreadable(failure to POST) i tried to load a O.S with a flash drive and while switching to uefi safe move and restarting my computer no longer post.
clearing cmos ,drain of power ,checking all ports monitors and cords dident fix the issue Computer was maybe interrupted during load(Cant remember but most likely).any help to fix my BIOS.
i Might need a Flash.Anyone with experience with this??

My BIOS download did not come with a DOS folder. Could I make one and just put the executable BIOS in it, as well as make a Flash.ISO file?

You probably done it by now but for them with the same prob just look for the BAT file after you typed Dir,but before BAT on the same line after the big space it will be named something else which was on the usb,mine was Kawg111 so just type the name you see instead of flash.
