- This is part of a series of carving projects we will be doing using the 1"x1"x3" basswood block. No band sawing needed for these projects. We will start with a super easy penguin and share with you some fun facts about the bird in a tuxedo and top hat.

Great project and loved the run facts along the way.
All birds have green glands on the back just above the start of the tail. The oil keeps their feathers in good condition, and keeps the water off them. They also use it to zip their feathers back together of they got damaged or just fluffed up the wrong way. Fantastic light advise outside. If you struggle to get clean audio do you have any option to add the audio later on? Carve away, and then mute the original audio and add a narration track when you are somewhere quiet. That's how I used to do mine. Great video and great project. Thanks so much for posting this. 👍
