Merida stole my heart 10 years ago while doing my undergrad there. Can t wait to go back for good. After traveling for the few last years in latin america, merida is home.

@@cosmictruth6333 hi - My name is Sue. I made this I mention Canada because I am Canadian. There are also a lot of Canadians in Merida. This is a video about my perspective on visiting this amazing place in Mexico. If you don’t like my humour, please watch something else. Mujer, I LOVE your storytelling style - such a unique, smooth, solid narrative! It kept my husband and I engaged, laughing, shocked... This is gold. Con cariño, your latest fan.
I'm planning on moving to Merida in the next 6 months. Thanks for such a great informative video about Merida. Makes me even more excited to start this new chapter in my life!.
I'm considering Meridia soon for a long, long stay. That was the most entertaining video for any location I've ever watched. It just made me laugh out loud the entire time.
The coke it’s supposed to taste better in Mexico, specially the one in the returnable crystal bottle, because it’s made of real sugarcane instead of corn syrup as in the rest of the world. It also helps that Merida is so hot all the time that a delicious cold coke helps with the weather condition haha.
Well I know 3 people that died from coca cola addiction. Too much sugar added. People need to stop drinking that and a lot of sugar or they will die of dementia, diabetes and even heart failure.
I was born in Mexico city but came to live to Mérida in 1983 and been happy here all this time, this is the best video I have seen regarding tourism in Yucatán, congratulations! P.S. I started sleeping in hamac 7 years ago, I can not sleep in bed anymore.
Wow! That was one of the best travel videos I've ever seen. Just perfectly done and that travel guide - ay, ay, ay, que guapo!! I love his accent and he's just adorable. Can't wait to visit Merida when this darn pandemic is over.
As a child, my Dad would hitch up our trailer every 6 months ( year round school) and head south through the San Diego border to visit another different state in Mexico.. He said it was so that his kids could know their Mexican heritage... to this day, I still find myself deeply reminiscing the evening “taquizas “ al. vapor with a bottle of coca cola or orange fanta with lime and salt sprinkled on top beneath string lights besides a warm pool next to the warm ocean, thinking about how this place (MX) is so much like California- basically the same place just divided by a border- even still has the same name of “Baja- lower) California.. So good to know you are enjoying your life in La Merida, MX .. top
This is the first travel video I actually like. And I watch A LOT of them. Never like them. Except this one. Really really nice. I would die to know how high your retention rate is. Do you mind telling me?

I need to go to Yucatán! its where my grandpa was from. I recognize a lot of things in this video from what he used to talk about. As a kid in the 1940's he worked cutting down that fruit thats used to make bubblegum, he also worked in the salt water mining salt. He was born and raised in Motul but also spent a lot of time in Mérida. He talked about the flamingos. I cant wait to go there one day it looks amazing!
I’ve been interested in a long stay in Merida, and have been watching many videos about the area. Your video was the the cherry on top. The fuzzy feeling. The “oh my god, these people are so much fun.” I spent many years in the 80s and 90s in the Florida keys before tourism changed them beyond repair. I’ve been looking for that weirdness again. I wonder if Merida would fit the bill? By the way. You are fantastic. And weird.
I’m just sitting here during the pandemic watching all these travel videos wishing we were able to travel like the olden days. I love Merida, and this was such a great video that reminded me of all the fun I had while I was there. I also love the part about drinking coke. I don’t even like coke in the States or Europe, but oh my goodness! It is extremely delicious in Mexico!!
This video is so well done. It could pass for a professionally produced show. Wait, are you a professional travel TV show producer? Ok, maybe so, or maybe not...I'm not sure. It's quirky, logical, humorous, to the point, from the heart and of course as you said, weird. Love it. Best part is the great story-telling with the quips! It's obvious you really enjoyed your time there and when I eventually get there, I too will look for Eduardo, the Guide. Thanks for making this. Viva Mérida!
