Hsiang I thought as much, that thing stopped on a dime. It’s got huge potential when it’s fully production ready. I’ll be keeping an eye on these and if given the opportunity would love to try it out. I googled speed-board and loads of vids came up but yours was the one I watched first because I like your style but mainly because I had another 10 mins of my life that I wanted to waste.
a wider wheel will make it very difficult to turn, if you look at videos where people actually try to build the "batpod" which a motorcycle with wide wheel, you'll see that it is very very difficult to turn that wheel. the Onewheel handles very differently because your center of gravity is right over the wheel.
@@OWGAC Bigger tires does not mean harder to turn, even so. Onewheel has huge tires. The balance is not good on the speedboard, it needs a final touch in order to be more stable.
its hard to tell unless I try riding it over a pot hole; may be.. but that tire is also wider, thicker and larger than a typical Eskate tire. it would probably fare as well as a scooter with similar tire but there are just too many variable here, I have seen some bad wobble on traditional eskate with 4 wheels from hitting potholes just the same.
When I first saw the Speed board I was unfazed by it, it didnt seen impossible to ride but it seemed like the videos were presenting it in the best light so I figured there's more to the story, Seeing it here and in evX's videos fully convinced me that it's a very situation specific vehicle. smooth ground situation. Granted that still means plenty of people will find it perfect for them and it will sell for sure (not to mention all the PEV early adopters that would buy it sight unseen as long as it seems feasible). It looks fun at speed but even more "squirrely" than how people thought the Pint would be.
The pint was a bit squirrely but it is also way more maneuverable than the speed board, but I think I am also a bit more bias since I am used to the maneuverability of the EUC so anything board like feels inconvenient by comparison. So am sort of agree that this was more of a occasional perfect day ride. But again, this was an early prototype so the final product may have more of the kinks worked out.
Am still a noob on EUC starting the journey with Inmotion V8 transitioning from the XiaoMi M365 for my daily commute. Looking forward to own all modes of personal electric transports like the eSkateboard, Onewheel & this bad boi you just featured :D
it is rarely enforced; I actually had not heard of a single instance of anyone getting a ticket, as long as you remain respectful the NYPD leave you alone
Good vid I think the speed board will capture a good chunk of the the market in the skateboard realm mostly. The thing I like about it the most vs an EUC is that if you have a power failure vs an EUC you most likely will not do a face plant but just coast to a stop. The thing I dont like about it the most vs the EUC is the lack of maneuverability as I like to slow down and go places where there are lots of twist and sharp turns on my EUC that I dont think the SB could do even with an experienced rider. I dont think it will take much from the scooter market as scooters will be easier to ride with again offering better slow maneuverability. Cheers
Thank you! Its pushed more as an alternative to electric skateboard and I do see potential for greater speed with that bigger tire, but it felt less maneuverable since on skateboard you can inch along slowly where its harder to do on the speed board. EUC still feel way more compelling from a day to day convenience point of view, if only if it didn’t have that steeper learning curve!
In show business there is a saying that goes _"there is a ass for every seat"_ For our purposes this means that the topic is subjective. I'm long past the stage where I would be attracted to any type of skate board but that doesn't mean that there aren't millions of people who find them useful.
I think they are for very difference purposes and its like comparing a car to a motorcycle, depending on your use case the choices would be different for everyone. I am learning how to ride an electric skateboard also so I try not be too bias, but z10 is still the best! LOL
This, you have a bit more option when it comes to electric longboard since there are plenty of budget chinese options. don't overspent, learn to ride and then thinking about upgrade if you like it.
@@edgarortiz6553 your could use Torque Boards or Hobby Wing for their motors and esc. As for batteries I don't know too much about other than MBoards that sells his battery packs.
Hey buddy I like your videos and of course I am a biggest fan, but the new Electric Ridables that your going to try, I already spoke to the owner on Facebook and had a full dialog about the speed board?, I would have to say NO WAY!!, Dangerous. For one thing too long for another stopping in an emergency, that is your avoiding getting KILLED? I already have his board in my electric scooter. The main difference, I have a hand break and I am able to stop because I have handle bars, now I can stop safer and of course more stable. On the other hand I can definitely see his speed board on XGAMES. NYC riding with that board?, it is possible I may read about you being stuck in the side of a bus when one couldn't stop in time and crash...LOL Your Electric Unicycle, skateboard even One Wheels SAFER🤪👈👍
I don’t feel like I have enough experience with the board to really tell, but it does have a huge leg up on the electric skateboard just by having those beefy scooter tires. Yes having handles does help with stability and safety but the speed board feels more like its catering to the “fun” factor rather than being practical.
@@OWGAC Kite boarding is called Boarding and not surfing again for a reason :) the board itself is linked to wake boarding and this is still not close enough to the surfing board. It was definitely way more electric skateboard like than the onewheel; I haven’t had a lot of experience on the OW but the OW feels more maneuverable and is fun at lower speed where in the speed board feels kinda ungainly at lower speeds but starts to feel more fun above 15mph

The speedboard deck is bulletproof glass, not just ordinary plexi... lol
I need to check and see what happen to the speed board, I wonder if the whole COVID thing threw a wrench into their plan.
Can we just admire he did this whole blog and report this on an electric unicycle holding a selfie stick
Yay, long live the Z10......👍👍👍
Just Started North Phoenix EUC group on Facebook!!!!!! Did our first ride last night
Awesome! Let see some videos!!
You didn’t show or explain your crash while testing, was it caused by you hitting the brakes to hard or something else?
It was from hitting the brake too hard, I didn't have good footage of it since I was eating pavement Soo.. =D

The speedboard needs bigger and much fatter tires in order to get better balance like the ONEWHEEL Pint
It's got more torque higher speed and more range because the smaller tire so its fine

pot holes would be a nightmare since you are relying on the spring to keep it in it's position along with the tilt.

I thought new york couldnt have electric vehicles? Was the law reviewed??
it is rarely enforced; I actually had not heard of a single instance of anyone getting a ticket, as long as you remain respectful the NYPD leave you alone
Said this before. Awesome product, would buy. Too expensive, make a cheaper version!
Going to be tough, Lithium battery is expensive and a cheaper/ better battery technology isn't there yet.
Good vid

He should use 2 Onewheel tires AND HUB MOTORS 👍 no need for the junkieness , and noise of a chain drive.
it felt fine and a wider tire may make it super hard to turn. but whatever happen to this thing anyway??
Yes I’m sure, definitely solid urban transportation
cool, I am curious to see what the final production form the speedboard will take also.
Finally! A bigboy ripstick
LOL, I never ridden a rip stick before but I guess the concept is similar. But that chunky scooter tire is really the highlight here.
Yes tom on a uni!
The traitor!! LOL
Tell us your thoughts about the Onewheel XR. I commute on my MSX 100v but I am curious about it.
r llenado I ride the xr on the daily to work it’s a great, but for long distances it sucks. Planning on buying an euc soon!
Next episode will be my impression for the XR but I really need a bit more time with it to form any sort of opinion..
The first frames made it look like you were cleaning the street.
I am cleaning the street, with a giant eraser in the shape of a thick tired electric unicycle! LOL
Going around a reasonably crowded city on the street.
I just want to know one thing: is it possible to get speed wobble?
Wow cool blog!!!!! I hope i have that electric skateboard for having a fast transportation and fun
I am learning how to ride an electric skateboard also!
Great video
thank you!
Nice
thank you!
Hi guy
Would you point me somewhere to buy ninebot z10?
Ricardo Menezes the Chinese website Ali express
Check out the onewheel. I would love to see a video on here. I have the pint. Fuckin amazing.
that's what'll be talking about next episode, stay tuned!! =)
@Hsiang, this is the second monowheel z10?
Skateboard with two wheels? it's a snowboard in the city, cool :))) I want it
no, this is my original, took a while but I was able to have it repaired!!

I want an electric longboard. Dont know where to start.
Big name, diy, or pay someone who knows how to build to make you one. I recommend getting beginner specs if you never ridden a skateboard before

and loving it too! I actually had to remind my self to ride the monster so it don't just sit there and collect dust!!
