Just followed your instruction except reading the instructions! Thanks so much for the step by step process of getting to the sensor. My local auto parts store did not have the Max air filter cleaner so I used an electronic cleaning fluid instead. It all worked fine and the code is gone. Thanks again!
Great video. You said you are going to “ probably run that through at least one more time, as it says on the can”. What are you referring to doing one more time? Also you said you’re going to “Clear the code.” How do you do that? Thanks!
I imagine you don't need the help at this point but just in case, clearing the code refers to the "error code" given by the on-board diagnostics, which you can check using an OBD scanner which plugs in inside the cabin. The codes will give information about any errors/ issues which are detected by the vehicle's computer. After physically resolving the issue, the error codes must be erased using the scanner tool in order to see if the problem consists after subsequently running the engine. Hope this helps.
this won't fix 2008+ - You need to tell the ECU that it has been changed or cleaned and force it to relearn. If you replace Continental with Bosch and take it to Mercedes to relearn they will refuse until you buy the Continental or Mercedes supplied MAF or will just attempt it without any warranty. I see many people having problems forcing the Bosch to learn. Just cleaning a Sprinter MAF VERY RARELY works without an ECU retrain.
Great job!
thank you for the video, now all I need do is buy some cleaner fluid

Yea, did it work? I had a turbo snap and all kinds of crazy things are happening. Now I came across the sensor cleaning
