- I fish often in an area that has a very thorny access to the beach to surf fish. Last week I took a thorn to one of my balloon tires which left me with a very small pinhole leak which led to a flat tire. Here is how I fixed that flat and I'm ready to roll again! Are you suppose to pack the hole where you air the tire up, with grease or somthing.. mine has white glue type stuff coming out of it.. does that help seal it after using the pump/needle on it. About 4 yrs old
I'm gonna say that's a no, that inflate valve is only supposed to allow air in, not out. Sound like you may have to inflate your tire some each time out or get a new tire....

If you remove the needle from the pump head you can insert it into the tire hole and release as much as air as you like. Great questions!
No one has made a video on how to actually inflate the tire I have the basketball pump but don’t know how to actually pump it I see the whole but nervous to put the needle in and then how do I know if the tire is inflated correctly or is over or under inflated ?
That needle is designed to work with that hole. It will slide right in and pull right out no problem. I inflate my tires by feel. Not too firm but firm enough to roll well on the soft sand.

How do you fill the tire with air
use a standard basketball/football needle with a floor or hand pump. The tires have a hole that accept those sports needles.
