The guy Bernard could've easily gotten Nancy out of her house without a struggle. Nancy didn't know him well, but she did know him. So her opening her door to speak with Bernard is plausible. If he were to pull a weapon, such as a knife or a gun, he could've easily talked her out of her house. "Nancy, you see I have a gun. I don't want to shoot you, but I will if you force me to. I need you to come with me. if you do so without causing issues, I promise I will not hurt you. If you cause trouble, I will put a bullet in your head right now. You decide." So getting her out of her house without showing signs of a struggle would be relatively easy. I have to say, this woman has some seriously bad luck with the people she interacts with. Her food delivery guy is a murderer. Her neighbor is apparently a psycho who admitted to being a murderer, and then took it all back. And her co-worker is possibly a killer, or a liar or an idiot, who also can't get it up.
I find it odd she left without her cigs. unless she was a very light smoker this is odd, especially as she was drinking wine. I really wanna know if that pack was open. (The unfortunate nature of that addiction is that your cigs are as important as your coat, maybe even more so & def more important than your purse.) if she was sitting on her porch smoking (in her coat) and hadn’t properly closed the door, the neighbor seems pretty reasonable- maybe he had been watching her and knew that she’d be alone and tipsy or maybe she was voluntarily into a quickie, but she didn’t think she was going to be gone long, if the cigs were left behind.
You're probably right she was on her porch smoking, door slightly ajar. Someone she was quite familiar with pulled up asked if she wants to share another bottle, of course she does, so he tells her hop in the car, you don't need anything the stores just down the road... someone she knew or a cop she'd she'd shared some flirty words with earlier in his shift as he sat watching for speeders and first saw her carry her one bag alone into the house.
You have excelled yourself good Dr. How you managed to find so many appropriate words starting with R does leave me deeply impressed and entertained 🤣🤣🤣👌👌
Wonder why her coat was gone, like she was prepared to go outside but the door was left open. Love your analysis and the ending was especially clever !
@@uggggggghhhhh Since her lighter and cigarettes were on the porch, she probably went outside for a smoke so it makes sense that she would wear her coat, as well as leave her door ajar in order to hear the phone ring. That's when something happened to her.
I agree that it was more than likely a stranger, some guy she met at a bar. I don't think it was Jim. I think he went to her home looking for her because they were supposed to get together that weekend. I think he was just curious as to why he couldn't reach her. Eric sounds like a complete nut so it could have been him. If he didn't do it he's a mental case for confessing. Bernard the meat seller could have been the killer too, after all, he killed once before so why not again? Plus she had his brand of meat in her freezer, so I'm going to say it's a toss-up between him and Eric. It's possible that she didn't leave voluntarily because her cigarettes were on the porch? She could have been sitting outside smoking when a guy approached her with a gun and told her to get in his car. A scenario like that wouldn't look like a struggle. I don't think she would have left her bag and ID inside with the door hanging open if she left voluntarily. To me that screams abduction.
@@nickyblue4866 The reason I feel it was a forced abduction is because what woman would leave without her bag, her ID and make-up, etc.? On top of that leave the door hanging open to allow an unwanted intruder inside who could be hiding and lying in wait for her to return? Or a thief to rob her while she was away? I don't think so. She couldn't have been that much in a hurry to have sex with someone. I think some unknown guy frightened her with a gun and she complied. Which is why there wasn't a scuffle. It may have been an unknown stalker who had observed her in a bar hanging out with different men, followed her home, knew where she lived, and plotted his move after deciding she was an easy target.
Dear Dr. Grande. Please bring the break back. It’s far more complimentary than the bright white. It’s also easier on the eyes. Love what you do man thank you!
Really interesting case! To me it seems like she went outside expecting to come back shortly after and thats why the door was left ajar and her coat was gone. I don't know if a kidnapper would go into her home and tell her to put a coat on before leaving. Really scary though, especially because I sometimes run outside late at night exactly the same way (put on a coat and leave my door ajar) whenever I hear a strange sound. I don't know how people are able to move on when someone they love goes missing, not judging them negatively at all, it just must be so difficult and stressful, I don't think I'd ever be at peace if my mom, sister or friend went missing like that. I can't even imagine going through such torture.
Dr Grande, thank you for you tireless content & creative alliterations! However, a door is never a jar! Another thought: my sister says a woman would never leave without her purse, therefore she could have been forced to leave, maybe under gunpoint. Also, there were two glasses indicating the presence of another

There was a case similar to this where a woman with 2 or 3 daughters was murdered and there were 3 viable suspects (a current boyfriend, a recent ex-BF and an ex-husband) and it ended up being the ex-husband (despite the fact that they had been divorced for at least 10 years, if I recall correctly).
Nancy disappeared in my community and I know people who are familiar with some of the characters interviewed for the podcast °Hide and Seek", which I highly recommend. I follow her case and a few others who are missing in my county closely. Another is the disappearance of 19yr old Logan Shindleman you may find interesting to review.
@@tanyaedwards4574 Probably more than we even know, especially with the growing homeless population. I believe we have around 80 missing and or murdered cold cases in our county, men and women. We have a case from 2007 of a mother whose body was found, the case seems to be totally cold. Supposedly Israel Keyes was running around our area at that time. Although we are the Capital of Washington it's relatively small, much of the county is rural and densely forested making it perfect for dumping bodies apparently. We have a new Sheriff who has big plans for these cold cases, we'll see 🤷🏼.
Good morning, Dr. Grande! Nancy was murdered and her dating habits provided a surfeit of suspects and the three you mentioned were a bit strange. Apart from someone making a viable confession the case will remain unsolved. Nice conclusion using the letter "R." Thanks for sharing.
I was married to a man that owned a frozen meat sales company, I can tell you they are all trouble. He was diagnosed NPD w/sociopathic characteristics and was abusive, violent, went to jail and was convicted. Pretty much anyone that worked for him was a convicted felon, a few of them went to jail over the years for domestic violence. Fun fact, his dad was one of the prime suspects in a still unsolved murder, if you want to look at it. Jill Bounds in Dallas. There's a D magazine article with all the info. Similar story as she was seeing multiple people, and my ex father in law was married at the time of their affair. She was found bludgeoned to death in her own home, no forced entry, all doors locked. Happened late 80s or early 90s. Apparently it may run in the family
Stereotype of butchers is that they’re generally nice people. Perhaps this doesn’t extend to sellers of frozen meat, but only to people who actually cut up food animals. The food writer M. F. K. Fisher supported this stereotype by writing favorably about butchers in one of her books, wondering why they tended to be uncommonly kind or something to that effect.
Never underestimate the impact of booze/drugs on people. She clearly started leading a reckless life hooking up with lots of guys, and looks like the father spent more days with the kids than the mother. In any normal situation no woman would leave without their purse, their car, cell phone, locking their door, etc. So either someone did say they needed her help with an emergency or similar need that caused her to leave at around midnight in a rush. I hate missing persons cases with no closure. Her poor kids stuck wondering what the heck happened, and their lives forever turned upside down. Any person with kids needs to grow up a bit and lead a more responsible life for the children's sake at least. Another sad story. I feel like there are more and more of these disappearances. Also especially if you have kids, don't divorce quickly and for petty reasons. Marriage is a huge stabilizing factor, which is why your insurance goes down if you say you are married.
When you make a habit of noticing things, you notice a lot of things. Cops are used to observing and remembering what they've observed, doesn't seem weird to me.
Its pronounced Ten-nine-no Washington. The story behind the name was that it was stop train stop 1090. I was wondering where I was recognized her. I work with someone who knew her and had her missing poster on his cubical. There are still a lot of people hoping for her to be found. But that part of Thurston County is really heavily forested.
3/9/23 Nancy, rip🌹love to her family and friends 🌹especially her children! Did they check the Cops alibi, he saw her that night, it’s happened before. Many solid suspects in this case!
Funny, my #1 suspect never came up again, and he was the last person to see her alive. Tell me, if it were an ex or a co-worker, that happened to be sitting in a car across the street, instead of a cop, do you think he might be a suspect? Where was she from 6:45 until the cop saw her after 9? Wherever that was, no one can be found to witness that? An empty wine glass, and a started but not finished glass of wine, 2+ hrs missing, then thanks to a perfectly positioned cop, her story begins after 9..... Does he have any tickets issued between 6:45 and the time he says he saw her? .... Opportunity is half the reason for a crime to take place.* - She is getting a reputation for being available, he sees her at the store, on the road, he follows her, He knocks on the door to gain entry, he's a cop so she let's him in, he propositions her, she rejects him, dirty deeds and their done dirt cheap, he carries her body out to his cruiser so can't close the door, puts her in the trunk and sets up like he's working for GPS, gets rid of the body at the end of his shift; and he doesn't go back for the door. Or he hides the body outside and goes back after shift. Peace *not really half, I'm sure, lol, I'm just kind of making up my own idiom Edit - my point with the wine glasses was, that was her routine, which she was half way through that night, when there was a knock on the door. That would have been 2+ hours before the cop says she got home. Ya, she could start the glass of wine then, but now it's getting pretty late, so, if she didn't finish the glass of wine, that knock came pretty soon after she got home, so why wouldn't the cop see that too? How many glasses had been poured from the bottles she just bought? Was it her first, second?
Well the cop could've got her to leave quick also, hence why the door was left open and all her stuff left behind except her coat, i think you're onto something, they need to look into that cops evening
yeah that struck me as odd too! In fact before i had even considered any specific suspect i thought to myself "hmm this sounds like one of those very peculiar crime mysteries that remain unsolved for years and years until finally one day some new piece of evidence emerges that no one saw coming, and in the end we all find out it wasn't the ex bf or the co-worker as suspected, it was a cop or an ex cop or some politician / authority figure in a position to cover up a crime like this!
An unusual and umfortunate case. It seems like the duality of Nancy’s personality led to her downfall. Thank you for the thoughtful analysis. I so enjoy the humor at the end of the videos!
Really? Is that your polite way of slut shaming a murder victim??? There is no responsibility to befall the victims of evil. You don't have to 'do' something 'bad' or 'wrong' to have evil target you. .....Who are you to judge the life of another person? Shameful behavior, imo. Peace
It's interesting how men can have "wild dating phases" and if any of them end up dead, it's never implied that they were sluts who caused their own deaths.
What do you have for us today Dr Grande? You are living rent free in my mind. I enjoy the educational nature and brilliant one liners delivered with such precision and consistency.
Bernard delivered the meat, and Jim had trouble delivering the meat. Either way, it sounds like Nancy received a lot of meat. I think the morals of the story are, never get your meat from a butcher, don't go to a bar to get your meat, and avoid receiving meat from a coworker or neighbor. Lastly, always order your meat via an online app, such as Tender.
Poor Nancy she was just going thru her bored phase . She didn’t deserve to disappear. Most people get away with some reckless behavior. Thanks Doc good limerick too! Mayb Nancy appreciated the humor where ever she may rest hopefully in peace!

Good evening.
Nancy sounds Bi-Polar between the excessive debt and promiscuity. Her promiscuity was to the level of a complete disregard for her safety.
Or bpd
But she did not deserve to be killed!
Or just bad with money and loved the "D"
HOW? Was she wearing a mask at the bar??
@@dantauche7917 I know, same thing I was thinking, I don't want to disrespect her but she looked like a Jacky Kennedy with fetal alcohol syndrome or dwarfism, but hey, guys are thirsty.

It makes me so happy when you do your summary via alliteration poetry at the end.
Props for the articulate and alluring alliteration there at the end!
Another awesome video! Nice break from writing up my psychotherapy notes at the clinic 🙌
You win the Guinness Book of Records - the most alliteration in 1 minute category!!
Jeremy br2020: I agree she saw
And don't forget the cop! And the 50 men she knew from bars.
@@amber40494 LoL😂
I find it odd she left without her cigs. unless she was a very light smoker this is odd, especially as she was drinking wine. I really wanna know if that pack was open.
(The unfortunate nature of that addiction is that your cigs are as important as your coat, maybe even more so & def more important than your purse.)
if she was sitting on her porch smoking (in her coat) and hadn’t properly closed the door, the neighbor seems pretty reasonable- maybe he had been watching her and knew that she’d be alone and tipsy or maybe she was voluntarily into a quickie, but she didn’t think she was going to be gone long, if the cigs were left behind.
I thought the same thing. She wouldn't have left without her cigarettes.
You're right. I've forgotten to pick up wine from the store, but never cigs.
@@AliValentine143 now that's an interesting theory! And no-one suspected the cop.
Maybe she had two packs of cigarettes🙄
You have excelled yourself good Dr. How you managed to find so many appropriate words starting with R does leave me deeply impressed and entertained 🤣🤣🤣👌👌

I always start my morning with one of your videos Dr. Grande. It's my little coffee moment of the day. :D
Thank you kindly for your work!
I’m always impressed by the alliteration at the end of each video!!
Your alliteration in this one is wonderful!
How difficult for her family; particularly her daughters. So very sorry. So wish these things didn't happen. xx Thanks again!
Wonder why her coat was gone, like she was prepared to go outside but the door was left open. Love your analysis and the ending was especially clever !
Yeah, it seems like something got her attention so she left the door open and went outside expecting to come back.
Maybe sat on porch smoking? Sounds like jealous woman getting a man Nancy slept with?
@@uggggggghhhhh Since her lighter and cigarettes were on the porch, she probably went outside for a smoke so it makes sense that she would wear her coat, as well as leave her door ajar in order to hear the phone ring. That's when something happened to her.
@Missy Wink Great deduction! 👍 Sincerely, as one who used to smoke, that makes sense.
I think she was smoking on the porch that’s why the door was open and she had her coat on. One of the three guys passed by in a car and took her.
The abduction theory sounds likely... prehaps the meat guy came to her place at night after her buying meat after fixating on her...?
@@nickyblue4866 Yes, the meat guy is a valid theory too.
Dear Dr. Grande. Please bring the break back. It’s far more complimentary than the bright white. It’s also easier on the eyes. Love what you do man thank you!
Yes, I, too, prefer the brick wall background.
It was worth it for the alliteration at the end. Thank you. 👏
Real reverence regarding your reasoning & recognizing your resourcefulness. Remarkable.
Dr. Grandes voice is always so soothing to hear

Also, there were two glasses indicating the presence of another

once again the alliteration game in this one was extremely powerful, well done
No, Dr needs to stop it.
The alliterations during doc's conclusive statement can make for some sick bars.
Thanks for the videos Dr. Grande!
I often wonder what happened to her and whether her kids will ever have any closure.
Local here, it's pronounced like Ten-Nine-oh.
That's weird, so there seems to be women disappearing around your area? Interesting 🤔
Nice to meat you, Mr. Bernard…
Good evening, thank you for the video
Starting at 16:01. You weave a why and wherefore so whimsically. 😀
My intuition tells me that the killer was the food delivery driver. He had means and opportunity.
Great analysis, Dr. Grande!
And thank you for the laughter.❤
Ravishing review Dr R I mean Dr G
Good morning, Dr. Grande!
Nancy was murdered and her dating habits provided a surfeit of suspects and the three you mentioned were a bit strange.
Apart from someone making a viable confession the case will remain unsolved.
Nice conclusion using the letter "R."
Thanks for sharing.
2:12 sounds like a great evening 😸
Love your analysis Dr. Grande. As always spot on and humorous.
Or it was the police officer who saw her going home alone!?
If you can repeat the closing final thoughts, you are a boss!! 😂😂
I agree with your order of suspects. The equipment quip was funny. Another interesting analysis, with the funny "R"s. Thanks Dr G😊🧡💜
Thank you Dr Grande awesome delivery and lessons for all
Never underestimate the impact of booze/drugs on people.
Yes, ita, people divorce for petty reasons.
It seems odd to me that a police officer who was watching for speeding cars noticed her walking into her house at a certain time.
Did the cop do it....? 😱
Maybe early on in his career and was taking it too seriously?
It's strange to you that a cop would be paying attention?
When you make a habit of noticing things, you notice a lot of things. Cops are used to observing and remembering what they've observed, doesn't seem weird to me.
@@defundhollywood3259 Exactly. I don't understand how IQs in this country continue their steep decline....
RIP & condolences to her family
3/9/23 Nancy, rip🌹love to her family and friends 🌹especially her children! Did they check the Cops alibi, he saw her that night, it’s happened before. Many solid suspects in this case!
She would not have left her cigarettes behind
Peace
*not really half, I'm sure, lol, I'm just kind of making up my own idiom
Edit - my point with the wine glasses was, that was her routine, which she was half way through that night, when there was a knock on the door.
Oh my gosh! You're a poet and I didn't knoet.
