    Honestly Angela, I see you as Super Woman! You’ve helped me so much on my quilting journey (newbie to the art, at 54) and I’m in awe of your capabilities. And not only that, you run a beautiful family, a fabulous home and ranch, an amazing store and workshop space and travel to inspire others. On top of that you like a glass of wine! My sort of woman!! Let me know if you’re ever coming to the UK on a quilting tour. You’re quite astonishing, it would be great to lift a glass to you. Can’t believe you ever sleep!

    Thank you for many helpful videos. The freedom you offer me to make mistakes and still have a successful quilting project. I keep watching, learning, and working to turn my quilt tops into grown-up quilts.

    I am so glad you showed these and also how to add other things to them. I truly think I can do these, not afraid to try things anymore. Will try free hand for a while, but I still want to get a ruler to use also. I like your idea of different sizes, looks really nice. Thanks again Angela and now off for the next one.....Claudia

    My first try at doing clam shells (on the roof of a house in a wall hanging) a couple of years ago was a real challenge. I ended up drawing every scallop so that it actually looked like tiles on the roof.

    Girl, you are fearless but very inspirational! Great options for Clamshell quilting. I did click on the "more info" link but the Clamshells, Feather Meander and Serpentine Lines do not have downloadable quilting diagrams on the page.

    Tried a few without a ruler. They look more like Roman arches in the first row. The second row looked like the bricklayer was drunk. More practice needed. Or I can use the ruler....

      If you mark a GRID, not just the horizontal lines, you can use the grid to mark the midpoint of the arch.

    Hi Angela, been busy trying our all your designs. I have a question of course!!!! I have an all over pastel flowery quilt top in squares with white square in middle. What would you do with a kinda boring Eastery looking quilt top to make it a little more interesting?? The fabric is Afternoon in the Attic..... Very delicate flowers. I made an MSQC top that Jenny called Ummm, oh Bordered 9 Patch......

    • @AngelaWaltersfmq
      @AngelaWaltersfmq  6 років тому

      Ohhh a square of solid fabric always makes me so very happy! Could you quilt a motif in there....perhaps a feather wreath or something similar??

    Hi Angela, I have a question. I decided to do 2" clam shells in the border of quilt I just loaded. There are 4 rows in the top border. My question is this: Should I continue the clam shells in the same direction going down the side borders and across the bottom? My daughter, the artist, says yes they should all face the top of the quilt.

    • @AngelaWaltersfmq
      @AngelaWaltersfmq  6 років тому

      I would make them all face the same way or I might make them orient away from the center, but it's a little more tricky that way.

    • @kathyromans8800
      @kathyromans8800 6 років тому

      Thanks. I think it will be easier all the same way. I'm using rulers on the longarm for the first time so easy is better.

    Why is your START/STOP button taped over?

    • @SewGurl58
      @SewGurl58 6 років тому +1

      winterzee I’m going to bet that it’s not the button that’s taped over, but that she has a piece of opaque plastic taped over the machines light. I bet diffusing the intense light from the machines light works better on camera. Look at the area just below you’ll see a corner of the plastic sticking out.

    • @AngelaWaltersfmq
      @AngelaWaltersfmq  6 років тому

      That is absolutely correct!!! The light is too bright for the camera.

      You can find the pounce pads (for marking) and the stencils on my online store: quilting-is-my-therapy.myshopify.com/collections/free-motion-challenge-quilting-along

      The chalk is Quilt Pounce and the stencils are "Design with Lines". Angela's Quilting is My Therapy store website has them, as do a number of other quilting supply sites. Check out the Midnight Quilt Show for the episode "Angela's Tips for Using Quilting Stencils".
