I like both types of bead dangles. The chunky one could be used on art journals and tags. The more simple ones are perfect for handbags and cell phones. I think they are beautiful. TFS Nina.

Hi Nina, these are beautiful and so many ways to use them. They could be hung on curtain/drapery tiebacks, to coordinate with the color or pattern of the drapes. Would be adorable on tiebacks in a child’s bedroom or baby nursery. I’d hang one on the handles of a gift bag, added little sparkle to the bag and an extra little present to whomever you’re giving the gift to. 😊

Just beautiful. I would have them hanging off just about everything I own, cell phone, handbag, key rings. You could hang them from flower arrangements even. They would make wonderful gifts for colleagues and friends by mounting on a card and inserting into Christmas cards. You have been very busy! We call them handbags here in New Zealand :).

Love the dangles, especially the chunky one... I usually have a Vera Bradley dangle hanging from a zipper pull on my purse... I don't make jewelry so don't have many ideas to share... I could see using the flat circles as a signature piece added to the jump ring that the dangle hangs from... Could also see them becoming ornaments either on a tiny tree or an art journal layout as a string of "lights" draped from the top of the page... Fun Idea - TFS... Have a great day! 😃

Beautiful dangles! I love the large one hanging on your purse, the noise makes me happy!!! But the small butterfly dangle looks so pretty against your purse! I have a lamp shade from my daughter's old bedroom that has beaded dangles, sort of hippie style and that's what I think of with these! Also, I have her dream catcher with a few hanging on it! Gosh, I think you can go wild with these and they are gorgeous to display or wear!! I'm sure having a supply of dangles on hand, you'll have tons of crafty moments pop in your head on how to use them! Hugs, Debra

In Australia we call it a handbag. As for the charms, you can use them as sun catchers, bookmarks, curtain tie backs, if you have drawers or cabinets with keys add them to the keys, clip it through a top button hole on a winter coat. Now, the discs - you can use them as wine glass charms or coffee/tea cup charms. That's it for me - surprised myself considering my lack of sleep and it's 7.00 in the morning and I've only had one cup of coffee :D Oh, oh, I knew I forgot something - your dangles are gorgeous!

I love these. The beads are so pretty! They are great on handbags. In the US it depends on the price of it if it is a purse or handbag... the more expensive ones are handbags! The dangles I have made were applied to mini albums, zipper pulls, fan pulls, book bag and backpack dangles, curtain ties, and the uses you mentioned. Back when I made a bunch of these and received some in happy mail, I had a very small Easter tree (bare with no bristles) that we would hang blown Easter Eggs on each year, but in between I would have my dangles hanging there for me to see. For your more special handmade beads, the tree might be a way for you to get them out of the box without getting rid of them. Thank you for sharing! I will have to make another one!

There all lovely! Very pretty - look lovely on travellers note books and planners. The key fob disks I would cover them in pretty paper and then cover them in 1 inch dome epoxy stickers (on eBay) or utee and then use them as embellishments on your art journalling or centres of flowers etc. X

Hi Nina, I love your charms. I think I would use the tiny discs as charms as well. You cand add the card board or paper on one side, add gesso or color, bling it in or add tecture and perforate de little hole to add the ring to use it as a charm. It can also be use as a mix media element or add a filigree piece and work around it.
    TFS dear

LOL, yes, I love the sound of beads rattling too and I love that big cluster one you made.. here in Canada we call those purses and I know that in some of the U.S. they call them pocket books. I think it's a great idea to dangle them from your purse/handbag like that. I can only think of maybe Christmas tree ornaments or even dangling one on a gift instead of a bow.. especially a gift bag..and I love Carol M's ideas in her comment. Jackie's tag is beautiful and yes, that's another great idea..

    • @NinaRibenaMixedMedia
      @NinaRibenaMixedMedia  6 років тому

+linda .german I have never heard of pocket books, so thats a new one on me! I hung some bead dangles from my hall light fitting a few Christmases ago and they look so pretty I’ve kept them there, and I have made beaded tree decorations in the past too. I love the idea of dangling them to gifts/gift bags. I will try Carol’s idea as I like that too. Goodness, I will be busy. I’ll have to make lots more! So much fun!

They might not call it that anymore but I have a 90 year old friend who was raised on the North East coast of the U.S. and that's what she calls it. Great ideas for your dangles. Great way to use up your beads.

Nina! I love your “production”. I love the purse idea. Your chunky one...oh my Nina...absolutely gorgeous!!! The tags, KEEP them. Use your alcohol ink on them, either directly or cut out your pieces from pieces you have played with. Add them to you dangles, as one in your chunky, or at the bottom of your single beaded dangles. Add the dangles to journals (would be a great addition to even use as a bookmark by having a string attached at the bottom of the journal binding that you flip up the book page your on, and the dangle end hangs over the spine or front of your journal). The dangle would be nice as the end of a pull cord/chain to turn an overhead fan or light on. I would add as part of a framed mixed media piece; either within the composition, or hanging from the bottom edge of a frame. Add to a frame family picture, especially a black and white photo, to draw attention and importance to the photo (attach to the back, and it hangs over the front of the photo along an edge on the right or left). I use a walking stick, and just like adding a chunky one/single/triple with a fiber/cord attach/tie it to the top. Yes, there are several ways to use them, and to use the metal tags. I love that you are using your jewelry skills in this way, and you have wonderful skills girl! I use to do bead work in the form of making rosaries when I was very young, that we sent to missionaries. (It was a family project. When we were five years old we just strung beads on the wire we were using for a single rosary, counting them repeatedly to have the correct amount. Dad did all the loop and chain work until we were interested in learning more. I was ten, maybe younger, when I started doing the full construction. I can remember asking for my own pliers when about twelve, so I did not have to wait to use the pliers. Good memory.)

+Monica Eggleton Thanks for all the great ideas you’ve come up with for the discs. I will have a play next week. I love these bead dangles, so won’t be putting the beads away just yet. As you say, good memories ❤️

Lovely dangles Nina, both sizes. They would also be great on a chandelier, or on a Christmas branch with little candles under it for shimmer and shine. Or you make a little hole in the top of a greetingcard and click one in as an extra surprise.
Maybe you could use nailpolish on the discs, on both sides as a charm or on one side for a magnet?
It's handtas in Dutch, so very simular to handbag.

oh Nina those are all so beautiful. I love the chunky one as well as the single one. To use them on our handbags is my favorite. But keychains, necklace, on the tag but my two thoughts were attaching small delicate ones around the bottom of a lamp shade or i also would hang them from the chain of my ceiling fans. As for the little silver disks i wonder how they would look with enamel over them or a small image then resin - they could probably be glued to things like paper clips to be added in journals. they could really make cute embellishments glued onto pieces of fabric and papers - so many thoughts!!!!! Love these cute dangles, as for the trolly coins, you can punch a circle from a soda can and glue it with the metal side facing outward, now I need to go and make some, thank you for the idea!

Love your dangles! Wish I had some of your beads as they're gorgeous. If I could make them ... haven't a clue how to . .. tutorial maybe ? ... I would put them on my journals as I love the look and sound of them too. And we call them handbags in Australia. Love your videos

HI NINA, IN REGARD TO THE BEDANGLES, I FIND THEM USEFUL AS A CEILING FAN PULL, OR IF YOU HAVE THE OLD TYPE OF BLINDS THAT ROLL UP WHEN YOU PULL ON THE STRING THEY WORK WELL FOR THOSE, I EVEN HAVE 1 IN MY CLOSET, I HAVE AN OLD-FASHIONED LIGHT IN THERE THAT YOU HAVE TO REACH WAYYYYYY UP, TO PULL THAT TEENIE TINY CHAIN LOCATED RIGHT NEXT TO THE LIGHT BULB IN ORDER TO CLICK ON THE LIGHT, THAT LITTLE CHAIN WAS NEVER QUITE LONG ENOUGH WITHOUT MY BEDANGLE. I ALSO DECORATE PRESENTS WITH MINE. WELL THERE'S JUST A FEW THINGS I USE MY BEDANGLES FOR. THANKS FOR ASKING. BTW, I LOVE YOUR BEDANGLES. C-YA.

Nina, these are lovely. I really like the chunky one - love the lovely sound as well as the look. It's a great way to use up our hoarded beads. I, too, have a huge collection. Thank you for this idea. I like Muriel's idea of charms for Christmas.

+Ann Johnson Thanks so much Ann. I haven’t touched my beads for quite a long while and I thoroughly enjoyed making these charms. We tend to collect so many things don’t we and I really do need to start using some of my stash. I agree Christmas charms is a great idea ❤️

Fabulous collection of dangles, sadly I don't craft so I can't help with any idea really. The only thought I've had is if you do as the girls have suggested, cover the disc, then simply add it back to say the bottom of your dangles. Or perhaps you could jazz them up, then string them with something and pop onto your Xmas tree. Tfs xo

Love the chunky one! You could use the Pebeo Fantasy Prisma paints (which separate and self level) on the trolley coins. You could also then put glossy accents or doming resin on top. I’ve got a couple so might see if it works! X

I will have to remember not to send you beads and charms lol! Looks like you had a big stash all ready...I love the chunky and single...chunky for handbag dangling and the single ones as phone charms or to use on artwork 😊.I think painty papers glued onto the discs then glossy accents on top would look good on dangles to,or as embellishments on art work...don't think I would worry about putting cardboard disc on first. The embossed advertising wouldn't show much and just give more added texture 😄 x

I love them all Nina, That Fox OMG stunning. they would be lovely attach to a Christmas Ball You could make then into a broach
book dangle is the biggest thing right now. As for disks you could cover them with pretty paper use glossy accents on them. the newest thing I have seen is extra paint that drips on an acrylic pour is glued to a pendent I wonder if these would work too?

Love them all - so much, in fact, that I am now considering buying a beading starter set! I am a multi-crafter, active with paper, fabric and yarn, but I can see me using the charms on my fabri-doris (a Midori-style notebook cover in scrappy fabric) which I make as gifts. Keep the projects coming, Nina. X

+Lynne Barkas Thanks so much for your lovely comment Lynne. You should definitely try beading. I taught myself from magazines and books, long before UA-cam videos, and started with earrings which I made by the bucket load! It’s not difficult to get going and I find it very relaxing. I’m sure you will enjoy it too ❤️ x

Love these. Adorable. I was thinking texture paste on the disks. You could sculpt (for lack of a better word) it into whatever you wanted. Then once it dries, paint and varnish and make them into more dangles or pendants or .......Just a thought.
