It’s really quite difficult to find the right words to express how much I appreciate your tutorial videos. I’m very new to the world of handmade journals and every time I wonder about how to do something I find that you have a wonderfully detailed instructional demonstration. Thank you, truly, I thank you.
You are so cute!! “Take 50!” I love your videos- they are great to learn from and most of all, it’s so fun to listen to you, like you’re right in my living room with me!! Blessings Miss Tracie!! Thank you for the video!! 😇💕
I really enjoyed your video and tutorial on how to make dangles. You explained everything so clearly and simply with the added bit of humour which I enjoyed. Thank you so much.
I really enjoyed this tutorial, I am new to this craft so this was just so informative and inspirational. I can't wait to get started. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Finally I find a tutorial on making bead dangles that I can follow. You made this video 4 years ago, lol, so I must have been half blind while trying to find one ages ago. Thanks for always sharing your knowledge Tracie!
Hi Tracie ..I am a jewellery maker and I can give you a few tips... all the metal components are called findings and the pin with a loop on the top is called an Eyepin and the other one with flat end is called a Headpin. The other tip is about your loop to not get that naughty little bit sticking out you need to make sure you round nose pliers are flush right to the end of the pin so all the wire curves around the blade. If you fancy checking out my blog I have a couple of basic tutorials on there if you are interested😊😊😊 hope that helps. But it was a lovely little tut though. Xx
Oh you are welcome Tracie this is my Blogger one with my jewellery tuts on wireandfire.blogspot.co.uk My wordpress one has my mixed media endeavours on it.... I've only been doing it since last Sept time. If you need any other help please shout... I get all notifications from here.
Ah thank you Tracie, yes I am not currently making beads at the moment. I had a very bad fall last year which has left it's mark in more ways than one ha ha so I am having a new adventure into mixed media and art journalling now. If you need any help with any jewellery tips just give me a shout I'm happy to help. My bead stash is vast as I've made jewellery for over 20yrs and I'm not going to be making it any longer to sell. I am enjoying watching your embellishments etc. And thinking of dabbling with some journal making. 😊😊😊 have a lovely weekend x
Excellent tutorial! I have just bought beads and all 'the bits', not to make jewellery, just the bead dangles. So, perfect timing to watch this tutorial. Thanks! Jennifer
This was very helpful Tracie. Even thou I have watched many of these videos, I was having a hard time. You explained it so well. I now know those little tricks that make it work. You are an excellent teacher!!! Thank you so much!!!
The pin with the loop on the bottom is an eye pin. The loop normally is used for hanging a dangling charm, gemstone, etc. I like them, and sometimes just use them without a dangle for the decorative effect. The one with the bump (sometimes can be decorative, with a ball, spiral, etc.) at the bottom is a head pin. You can also make them from heavier-gauge wire (I do sometimes).
Hey luv. I’ve not been able to find a place where I can find materials needed to create beads for journals or my snippet rolls. Absolutely the best tutorial I’ve ever been able to follow EVER 💞 I need to RUN TO HOBBY LOBBY! Sale on all beads and jewelry making supplies this week. Checking Michael's . I have bulb pins so I can pin on my snippet rolls. Thank you now to write a supplies list. I have the set of tools. So yay me. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
You can't possibly know how timely this video was! I'm just starting my journey to this kind of craft. I've always decoupaged - boxes, trays, etc. and a lot of needlepoint. I still have eight to ten finished, blocked canvases that are still on the cardboard rolls from the place I had them blocked. I think this was the 'easiest to follow' tutorial I have watched. You just have such a sweet, calm and funny teaching style.
Excellent tutorial, Tracie. I loved it. I'm just now, starting to learn bead work and what seems so simple can be mind blowing, and frustrating just when your starting out. So THANK YOU so very much. The camera work and your teaching skills did the job beautifully!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I wish I had seen it a couple of days ago when I was really stuck trying desperately to make a dangle and getting hopelessly in a mess with end bits all over the place. You really have helped me with your very clear and precise tutorial. It was brilliant and I'm mightily glad that 3 years after you posted it, it's still available. A thousand thanks!
Tracie, you never cease to amaze me! I've been making jewelry & other art media for years, yet I continue to learn from you. Thank you so much for sharing your honesty, time and talent!
Don’t know if you still read comments on your older videos but just in case I MUST say thank you for this tutorial. New to jj I am like a sponge learning all I can and you are certainly a great teacher!!
Thank you for this step by step tutorial. You explained everything so clearly. I made a couple this morning for my journal. I hung a small charm on the bottom loop of the pin. Thanks again!
Thank you soooo much for this tutorial!! I went back a couple times to write down some tools, bits and pieces, I’m going to Hobby lobby and getting myself a little stash of this and that!!! Thanks sooo much again for the inspiration!!!
So, Tracie, UA-cam actually suggested your channel to me and I love you! I'm not binging on your videos! I've especially wanted a video on binding signatures -- watched that, of course it seems as easy as I remember it.... and I've wanted a simple bead dangle video -- this is so great! I'm loving everything!! Thank you so much~
Explained itExplained it so clearly, Thanks so much for this vid, you have explained it's soclearly I got it first viewing thanks again, I am inspired to jump up make one or two bead dangles, just have to sleep off 10 hours of chemo so I can have the required energy , thanks again ❤️ from New Zealand XX
Hi Tracie. I've been buying pretty beady bracelets from charity shops. I simply undo the clasp thingy and just add a few charms and maybe a big bead. So quick and cheap too!
Just came across your channel. I've never made bead dangles before, but now I want to go buy beading supplies. You make it look so doable. Great job on the video and explanation. Now I'll have to go and watch your other videos to find out what you do with them! 😀
Beautiful I am looking at learning but I need to be organized like you there’s tiny boxes bags all types crap stuff at all. Very pretty good job and I m learn to make thsts a needle nose flat head isn’t it?
Tracie I adore your videos! I think these pins are inspired, and as I'm a beginner jewelry person, I think you've done a great job. As in all your videos, I learn so much. In several you mention a Genevieve and I wonder who she is and where I can find her out here?
very pretty! i remember seeing someone demonstrate once, that when you're at the stage of looping the end, (after any bead-threading) where the end of last bead is, bend wire on a 90deg angle, then roll loop back to towards beads. with the last loop, it automatically tilts up to the centre. you're doing great anyways, but thought it might be worth mentioning, in case it made centering less fiddly :-)
Thank you sooo much for this. I'm brand new to this and now I no where to start at buying things. I live in new Zealand so I'll have to try and find a place now to get them
Hi Tracie, you sound just like me ‘I’ve got this but I’ve no idea what it’s called’. I do that too! Or I just call things a ‘thingy’. I loved your tutorial. I got a quick tutorial at our local craft groups a few weeks ago & purchased some basic supplies - thingys! Haven’t started yet but will refer back to your video when I do ❤️ Oh and I’ve subbed to your channel too!
take 50 was excellent & focused :) pins with holes are eye pins & the others are called head pins & you can get ones with a ball at the end which are nice
I know I'm late to the party but this is the simplest most straightforward explanation I've seen! Thank you!!❤❤❤
Glad it was helpful!

Hi - love your channel! Can you do a video on how you attach dangles to journals? The different techniques for attaching? That would be awesome, Robin

Thx for your quick response. Will check out your flip throughs
