Nice tips. Thank you for sharing. I'll be so glad when I get a system figured out to keep caradina happy and breeding, then I can dive into genetics and make good lines. I was so worried about doing everything perfect that something like the tank getting too warm was not even on my radar along with bacterial issues that may pop up due to it.
I have a small caridina colony that consistently gets berried x3-4 times now but never hatch offspring. I’m guess they’re dropping them at some point but any tips? GH is on high side of their normal range 6-7 but otherwise I use RO water and all other parameters are within range
Few things to consider, are there a lot more males than females? Is the female too young or too old? Are there predators in this tank? Are there hiding spots like moss or rocks for the mom to hide and not get harassed. Gh affects molting or molting issues more than berried. Is it just one female or all females? What size is the aquarium at and what temp? Those are a few things I would consider for sure
If caridina shrimp dont breed in the winter, should I just turn off the heater to make the water cooler so that they lifespan will increased? Or just leave the heater be?
That's a very good topic. I put in heaters this season and didn't notice an increase in breeding. I feel the key is consistency and not let it drop too cold
Or they are being sucked into the filter intake (if you’re not using a sponge filter), or they are being eaten by other fish, or if you have planaria in your tank
What are some reasons why your shrimp aren't breeding? Let's discuss together and grow this community!

Thx for the kind words and support. I know you'll get this caridina thing down then you'll create your own patterns, how epic is that
Thanks for the reasons listed.
You bet! Thx for all your support! Until next video!
Your shirmps look awesome!
May I know which substrate that you use? I am thinking of Ada Amazonia ver 2 rn hmmm
Thx for the kind words. I am currently using the amazonia ada gold but when I run out I can only get v2. Hope that helps

Mine did breed but shrimplet did not survive .
I have green wall but not sure why they did not survive.
Oh this is a great topic of discussion. Let me do a video on this, I'll reply to you shortly
Then it mean your water parameters not right.

@@paulm0573 those are very good point, if there's planaria or hydra those can kill baby shrimp also
If you change the Thumbnail text from SHRIMP BREEDING MASTERY to MASTER SHRIMP BREEDING I Think it will perform way better
Oh wow, this is such a great idea. Thanks so much for this!!
