Agreed with Rachel’s comments regarding teaching methods. I also did not like the teaching style I grew up with as the teachers and curriculum were too fast. As a teenager with a slow uptake was so difficult to come to terms with. As an adult I love the thought processes around all learning- this learning process should be adopted more. Well done to both of you for this video- thoroughly enjoyed!!
loved this interview, i really like some of riley's experiences of maths and methods of learning. for the next interview, or even this one, timestamps would be good for each question :)))
I wish I'd seen this video far earlier; I love Rachel! (And you, Tom, of course!) I mean, you did start talking about sportsball, and my brain disappeared into the ghost zone for a bit... but that's okay, we can't all be perfect 😜 I've always said that, were I not afraid of needles, one of my first tattoos would be "Ɛ>0;" (for multiple layers of meaning personal to me); with it being so important to me, hearing the story of someone referring to a 3 as a "backwards epsilon" is hilarious 😂
I felt the same when I did my bachelor’s, 15 years ago. Now, I’m back for a Master’s, which is more self-directed, and I’m starting to quite like Groups and Rings, and especially finite Fields. It feels so much better to look into them by choice instead of for an exam
Hello Tom, hope you find this comment. I am struggling in stochastic differential equation including Langevin equation then Fokker-Planck equation (and so on) and I hope you can make video to explain that. Much appreciate.

@@TomRocksMaths woops thank you
@@TomRocksMathsIf you include a 0:00 timestamp at the top of the list, UA-cam will automatically add them all to the progress bar as chapters.
@@Mystery_Biscuits I'll give it a go - thanks!
Just subscribed to Tom Rocks maths, which I’m going to enjoy!

Hi Tom, video suggestion: would love to see a day of your life at work!
Okay. I'm going to study maths now.
This was a great conversation
Great Video!

maths is definitely not an easy subject. Statistics, arithmetics etc
Rachel! 😍
Nice 😊
She’s so gorgeous and when she solves a problem on Countdown she gets this cheeky look and it’s incredibly hot. Smart girls are the best.
cambridge also has all the undergraduate degrees as ba
Crime: divide by zero
But that crime is quite... limiting. ...I'll see myself out.

Oh come on, who wouldn't be? She is one of the... most perfect (?) women on this planet.
Course he’s naked for Rachel 😂
Don't think it's Rachel he's interested in!
@@drziggyabdelmalak1439 I’d get naked for Maths any day.

@@MV-vv7sg my case maths make me naked every single day !
oh the woman who made a fake image about jeremy corbyn. 🤔
The Labour Party lost the election themselves because of their rampant antisemitism, total lack of policy and Corbyn’s weak leadership.
She showed that the beautiful woman didn’t mean they’re fool… 😊👍
