I actually think the reason Reinhardt is so overpowered even compared to previous Sword Saints is that it's been revealed That the Witch of Vainglory Pandora, Killed the Previous Saint while she battling the white whale. We later find out that Theresia's corpse was taken reanimated by the Witch Cult with it being implied that Pandoras's goal was to Get Her Divine Blessing and use her body as a tool. However the Blessing passed on to Reinhardt during this time. I believe that Od Lagna is intentionally trying to Keep Reinhardt safe by giving him all these Blessings and Protection. Because Pandoras's authority rewites causality and is antithetical to the World. Reinhart's unique Power Scale might an attempt from Od Lagna to prevent this from happening. Possibly even a Trump card to counter her.
