    Well @Vivec, you certainly got your value out of learning how to pronounce ichthyoallyeinotoxism.
    I went from not having heard of it, to guessing the meaning, to knowing the meaning, to grokking it, to semantic satiation, all in a few minutes. Kudos to you.

    Would really love a video on ancient Egyptians doing psychedelics. I know a guy who saw Anubis on a DMT trip and now I’m having so many thoughts and ideas about the relation between religion and psych. I’m usually more of a “logical” thinker but this makes me really start to believe psychs are the key to unlock our brains to access higher dimensions

      blue lotus is psychoactive so it suggests they sat in the tombs drinking this and then discussing how to improve their society

    In Finland we have a fish that produces alcohol (ethanol) to its bloodstream during winter time to warm itself up and slow its metabolism. I've heard people can get drunk eating it. The fish is called "ruutana" I believe.

    • @theprodigalson4003
      @theprodigalson4003 10 годин тому

      Why does it chose alcohol to warm itself

    • @reme7903
      @reme7903 5 годин тому

      @@theprodigalson4003 I'm not sure but that's what it starts doing when the lakes freeze. It moves very little during that time so I guess it also partly uses it as fuel since that time there's little food in the environment. I'm not a marine biologist however so I'm not really sure.
      Edit: after reading some wikipedia the fish is a kind of carp and the alcohol is to somehow stay alive in water that lacks oxygen and sometimes freezes to the bottom so the fish literally doesn't move at all. Only is stuck in ice drunk.

    Would love to see a video on potential use of ergot infested grain in elusinian mystery cult initiation ceremonies. One myth associated with the cult is a story which involves Demeter, goddess of harvest, drinking a kykeon made up of water grain and wine. It is thought that drinking a kykeon made of grain and wine was a rite performed in initiation ceremonies. This is very interesting because grain , especially in those days, was highly susceptible to ergot fungus infestation ( LSD being derived from the alkaloid ergotamine tartrate I believe) so it is very well possible that personal divine experience can be correlated with hallucination and poisoning due to ergot infested grain. Whether they new the grain had magical properties or not I’ve no clue. But it is very interesting you have to admit. Tickles my fackeen brain I tell ya

      @@kristianjerman420 hey maybe they knew about it. Pretty sure at least a couple of those guys dabbled in some LSD. When I saw the title that's the first thing that popped into my head. Underrated movie. Sure it was pretty much just a bunch of skits loosely tied together with a bigger budget than the show but it's got some hilarious scenes.
