Episode #52 - Today we are in Welland, Canada visiting my Zia Pina & Zio Jack. For lunch we are having a WHITE Pasta e Fagioli made by with Nonna Paolone's sister-in-law and my aunt Zia Pina. Pasta e Fagioli comes in either a red sauce or white sauce. In Episode #2 Nonna Paolone taught us how to make it in a red sauce. Today Zia Pina is going to teach us how to make it in a "White Sauce".
Pasta e Fagioli is a very popular and classic Italian dish. What is Pasta Fagioli? Pasta Fagioli is pasta with beans. If you are a fan of Dean Martin then you are very familiar with his song called “That’s Amore”. In that song ‪Dean Martin‬ sings about “Pasta Fagioli” singing, "When the stars make you drool just like a PASTA FAGIOLI, That's amore”. - ½ Onion chopped
- 1 Garlic Clove Chopped
- Cannellini Beans (white kidney beans)
- Parmesan Cheese
