SHARK FEEDING FRENZY on the Beach in 4K!!! | Florida Mullet Run | Shark Drone Video

Incredible 4K Shark Drone Footage filmed during the Florida Mullet Run! Sharks and Tarpon were in a feeding frenzy together right along the beach. We were fortunate to capture some amazing drone footage of the mullet run this year using the Mavic Pro Drone! Giant tarpon were swimming in big mullet schools along with a large number of Blacktip Sharks. Amazing to see them feeding so close together. They almost bump into each other on several occasions. Some other highlights included sharks swimming into less than a foot of water to try to capture the baitfish. And of course watching the tarpon leap out of the water to catch mullet is also awesome to watch!
We also walked into the mullet schools with our GoPro Hero 7 in order to capture some underwater footage of the mullet.

Every fall in Florida as the temperatures begin to cool the fishing gets red hot. The falling temperatures trigger the natural instincts in mullet to head south along the Atlantic coast. The migrating mullet stay in large schools that are irresistible to larger predators, including most game fish.

Some species of sharks have a spiracle that allows them to pull water into their respiratory system while at rest. Most sharks have to keep swimming to pump water over their gills.

I’m so dumb I was out surfing in Melbourne in the middle of the mullet fun. Kept getting hit with flying mullet and had a few really close calls with some sharks and I kept thinking “wat the hell is going on today”
