SCOTT WITH DALLAS PAINT CORRECTION & AUTO DETAILING IN PLANO TEXAS REVIEWS MEGUIARS FAST FINISH. Products Used: Meguiar's G18309 Ultimate Fast Finish, 8.5 oz - amzn.to/2Qxxuqr
Great product. I use it as a topper. I wash, clay, wash again, apply HD speed, Meguiar's spray wax (2) coats, let cure for 24hrs, then apply Fast Finnish with (2) coats. After 24rs buff and the shine is incredible along with lasting protection. I only rinse my car to clean it. This lasts ONE YEAR. I live in Chicago. Salt, snow, and dirt just slides right off. Next year I will add TW Seal & shine.
I watch your videos a good bit. Even after about 12 years of detailing, you have helped me with choosing many great products and techniques to make my job easier. Some so simple that I would have never thought of. I absolutely love your reviews on products and procedures. Keep up the good work!
Finally found this at Wally's world and tried today after claying an polishing. I hate the term "game changer" but in this case, I have to say it fits. Absolutely awesome IMHO. I applied to my entire Tundra in about 20 mins. So easy to use and only used like a 1/8 of the can. The only unknown for me is how long it lasts, but even if I had to reapply monthly, I'd still say it's a win. Thanks for the review.
I bought this product based mostly on Scott's review. You cannot tell on this vid but this product works GREAT. I used it on my car and the pop it produces is amazing. This product works. I'm sold and will buy it again. Thank you Scott for turning me on to this product.
Scott, I rarely buy a product based on just one recommendation but this was an exception. Thank you for posting this. I just corrected the soft thin Subaru paint on my Crosstrek and was ready to seal it when I happened upon this video. As you might say, Holy Crap! This stuff was so fast and easy to apply, I thought I must not be using enough. Only time will tell on the longevity but the paint is slicker than snot and looks great. I’m gonna be using that red bottle Meguiars spray wax after each weekly wash. I owe you one my friend!
Just finished a can of this stuff the other day. Loving it so far! If the durability lasts even a 1/4 of the time it says it will, I'd be very happy! It flash dries so nicely, and whatever is left buffs off effortlessly. I haven't counted, but 1 can lasted me around 7 or 8 cars. I didn't use it on glass though, I used a different sealant for that...and it still was pretty easy to use in direct sunlight. A winner in my book!
I tried some last night, I was just able to get the hood/fenders done. {Ran out of sun light} My car is red and prior to this product I clayed then Ultimate compound and 205. Two coats of jet seal and this was about 45 day's ago. I'm looking at it right now and really liking results. The car hasn't had any wax put on it this season only a detailer after it gets washed. Your so right about a little goes a long way. Thank you so much for telling everybody about this product. If I stop watching youtube for a couple of years maybe the products I have taking up shelf space will get used. But I always find out about the Next Best product to use.. Please keep the videos coming to us...
Scott you are the best!!! I love your reviews and tips!!! From a weekend worrier in NC with my daily driver Ford Fusion 2013. No one thinks it’s a 13 due to my upgrades and the way I care for the paint!!! Guys at Ford dealership are blown away and I attribute it to your help!! Thanks so much!!
One of the great selling points of this product is it’s anti-static properties after correcting dark vehicles apply this to it, it’ll help repel dust and pollen especially those living in such environments
Bought n used this yesterday based on ur poitive feedback, on a customers car, Amazing result...got a slick wetlook finish on a black metallic Audi. Great product, no problem whatever. Take care. Micke from Sweden.
Another great review and knowledge passed on by Scott. This product rocks and does its job for those that don’t want to pay for a professional sealant service. Thanks always Scott
Scott your killing me your making my car detailing too easy i bought this after your recommendation and i got to tell ya after doing a wash then blow dry with another product i got because of your recommendation the Worx 600 i proceed to seal the paint on my Ford F250 at 62 years old it took me 10 minutes when i got done i said to myself i must have done this wrong because it didn't take me 2 hours and feel like i ran a marathon afterwards. Thank you for all you do i hope you continue to do your videos because i learn so many new things from you! again thanks!
I am 65+ and used this on a 2004 VW Beetle and people have asked me if I had my car repainted???? really nice product!!!!! easy for a older gal to use!!!!!!!!!!!!! and yes I clay bar my car once a year low mileage for me!!!!
I just did my Silver Porsche today with this. Clayed the car, then used Meguiar's M7 Glaze, then waxed it with Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax and finished it off with the Meguiar's Fast Finish and it looks awesome. Best my car has ever looked, shinning like a diamond now and the paint is super slick.
Update for those looking to purchase this item. Bought this product bases on Scott's review. Just purchased this from Amazon $12.34 w/tax, it had a $5 mail-in rebate sticker on the box (good until 12/31/2018) Makes trying out this product a no brainer... Nothing to lose....
Nice video. Good to hear from a professional. I have a 2018 Camaro (more on my channel) but I have not done anything to the paint to speak of...other than the (presumably) cheap wax that comes out of the car wash. She is garage-kept and I wash her fairly often, so I wasn't feeling too bad about that...until a rock hit the low part of my door and made a chip in the paint (down to the base coat)! That is when I realized OEM pain't jobs just aren't what they used to be. Anyway.. I picked up some of the Mequiar's Ultimate Fast Finish at Pep Boys for ~$5/bottle; figured I couldn't go wrong at that price. However, they way you make it sound though, this doesn't offer a lot of bug/pollutant/rock protection. Ceramic sealants s are all the rage, but only if applied under ideal controlled conditions(?) So what do you recommend for a good/strong base sealant?
Just picked this up for $9 on sale. I figured that for the cost I'd try it out. After 11 years of detailing my right shoulder is garbage, and waxing just sucks. Hopefully this is a tad easier 😋
Ok used this for the first time and won`t use anything else...I washed my car blow dried and used this ..OMG...great product and easy to use. Lots of QD and spray waxes are going out of my cabinet.
unlike the previous, i find your narratives somewhat soothing, slighty hypnotic and very relaxing. i bought this product from Amazon - on your say so. Mr. Meguiar, are you listening?
Great video and today at Advanced Auto I got two cans for $1.75 a piece said it was being discontinued. Think I may get the other two if they are there Tuesday.
I use all of meg products especially the ultimate line. Paste, liquid, and spray waxes, Waterless washes and spray detailers, hyper dressing and ultimate protectant. Cant wait till try this
I use nothing but meguiars, but the first time I use the fast finish it was mind blowing. I have a car that the paint is called black Mosaic paint and it hides every imperfection. When I wax the car the paint doesn't pop as much as the fast finish.
Great video Scott, aside from this what would be your go to Sealant? for a car that you don't mind taking your time with, I used the Chemical Guys Jet Seal and honestly don't even know what to think. This is for my personal car so i don't mind taking the time to seal it. Thank you and keep up the great informative videos.
Like you, I am a huge fan of Gyeon. I often use another brand for my ceramic coating, because of the long cure time that the gyeon coatings need. I hear you say that you use cancoat. I am a fan of that, but i cannot always leave a car in a garage, because some people don't have one. What if you applied cancoat on a car, and it is out in the open, and at night it starts to rain. Will the coating have spots, because it is not fully cured yet? This is what keep me from using can coat, alltough i like it, i don't want to risk any spots on a just polished car . I hope you can answer my question. So in short: can i park a just coated car outside (can coated) and will it suffer from damage because of bad weather. Gyeon states that it need to cure for 12 hours in a garage, but maybe you have a different experience
Scott, Sorry I had my doubts that you formed in my own head, but the products you're selling are panning out, if weren't for your commercials I probably wouldn't know what's better. now I look forwards to your vids because they are interesting, plus the fact I'm now buying the products that you are selling\advertising !! you're a funny guy dood, so please ..keep doing the thing you're doing. it work's !! Good Job !!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 X 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Walmart they should give you the credit because their product sales will increase !
A demo would make the video much more informative. Like applying, showing water hydrophobic qualities, and then using wax/grease remover to see how durable., and water again, after hitting it with the wax/grease remover.
Forgive me if I'm asking a question that you already answered but can you use fast finish after a car has been polished (Ultimate polish)? Or is it a waste of time to polish and then seal? Is sealing enough to make the car look good or does polishing add to the better look? Thanks.
I have a well maintained and mostly garaged black car but have a few scratches and imperfections. I use the Ultimate products because I feel I need to Ultimate polish this out after the Ultimate compound it then the Ultimate wax. Should I use this in place of the wax or after?
Scott, Would you recommend Turtle Wax Ice over this if I have a car that hasn’t been paint corrected and goes through a car wash daily? I’m a rideshare driver and my car is a 2011 Hyundai Sonata with Indigo Blue Pearl(code Y3U) paint. The car has some scratches and chips and imperfections, so would Turtle Wax Ice be better to build filling layers of protection?
I luv meguairs products and very rare use anything else treid meguairs ulamate compound on a 66 fird truck that not been washed it life time was a nightmare i used a rotarubwith a wool pad the results were amazing
Im not gonna clay bar my truck. Im gonna wash it well, polish it, and im gonna put some of this stuff on it. Oh, and my truck is white too. Wish me luck.
So if I do a purple power wash, claybar, Griot's fast correcting cream, and perfecting cream. Should I wax first, or just use the ultimate fast finish?
Can you put a layer of this over Ultimate paste wax? Would that prolong the filler effect of the paste wax? Edit: I see on the Meguiar's site that they say you can put UFF over the paste wax (not the other order). Maybe that takes advantage of the fill-in-the-scratch property of the wax, followed by the UFF. I did that on one panel, and it is nice -- I'll have to try without the wax and see if it is just as good.
I wish somebody on these vlogs would a car in any other color than White. You can barely see Any difference in Anything your trying to show. I'm not saying you personally but almost everyone of all the vlogs I've been watching lately, and I mean ALOT, at one time or another use a White colored car and I Can't see what in the world everyone is talking about. Dallas, this comment is not meant to be personal to you and it's just meant as a general comment. I do appreciate your vlogs and your skill and experience.
I have not used Fast Finish but it is a synthetic sealant. Synthetic sealants last longer than carnuba based waxes and have a slightly different purpose. The best thing to do is to use a sealant such as fast finish and then top it with a wax for the best look and longest lasting finish. As Scott says in this video, the sealant does not have fillers in it like a wax would, so you should really use both on most cars. Hope this helped!
Really diggin on your videos. See a bit of 'you're a shill' comments aspect. I don't really see/feel it. But I think, if you will humor me, you should do/title the vids Pro or Joe (and a Pro&Joe) You make vids for Joe, but tend to talk Pro/Pro products overall. Just food for thought.
Scott, great videos! I have a question though. I don't detail cars, I just want to learn and when I do wash/wax my car do it somewhat correctly. From another UA-cam Detailer's set of videos I learned about Mequiar's Ultimate Liquid wax which is good to use on any exterior surface and have used it on my wife's car. Love the fact it can be used on everything ... no more white residue! Does this liquid wax last longer then the spray waxes like Mequiar's fast finish, or any of the other spray waxes you have recommended to us non professionals? I seem to think I read that liquid/paste waxes that are spread by applicator last longer than lighter spray waxes but it could be the old school way of thinking. Thanks for making these videos!
Scott, I think this is being discontinued. My walmarts had them on sale. I snagged up a few. Then checked brickseek and they are out everywhere in phoenix. I think someone bought them up and is selling them on ebay. :(
José L Marquez Jose productions I wouldn’t recommend it over Griots. But, it depends on what you’re looking for. If you want more deep shine, scratch filler, and total length of protection, use your Griots. If you’re looking for speed and for a quick, good quality product with no fillers, use the Fast Finish.
Actually the instruction say you can wax your car before applying this.
Ryan Costa sure. Although the benefit of HD speed is that it leaves wax behind. Its purpose is for those who dont want to do a LSP. If you plan on doing your own sealant use a cutting polish instead of HD speed.
Is he a professional? That makes the rest of us ‘do it yourself’ers’ I think I got it. Thanks for talking down to us maybe one day we’ll be in your league.
If I applied adams paint sealent about a month in half ago is it okay to apply this over that sealent? And do I need to claybar? Will claybarring remove that sealent I applied?
Hi I have a 2014 subaru legacy and it has a few scratches should I use Meguiars cleaner wax first then the ultimate wax then use the Fast Finnish after washing the car first of course?? Please help
yes that order would be correct:)...the cleaner wax will help in removing very fine scratches and leave protection behind..you could use ultimate wax next but i would wait a few hours for the chemical cleaners within the cleaner wax to settle...im not sure you would get more gloss and shine or protection by applying the ultimate wax which is actually a sealant over the cleaner wax but you can try and see how it works....fast finish is a great product and yes use it last over your wax or sealant:)
Isnt a cleaner wax a chemical cleaner with no abrasives in it? Pretty sure. So without any abrasives it will not remove any fine scratches/swirls etc. Here is the description from Meguiars www.meguiars.com/en/automotive/products/a1216-cleaner-wax-liquid/
Don's Auto Detailing hi don so I don't need to do that I just bought the cleaner and ultimate and fast finish and I and waiting for a polisher I am going to practice on my girl's car
I am just an ameteur but I have been detailing my own cars for around 35 years and have spent thousands of dollars trying new products. These are the steps and products that I use. 1. Wash and clay bar the car, including the windows. I use Chemical Guys OG clay bar and their clay luber. 2. When my paint has many deep swirls or scratches, I use Meguiares Ultimate Compound. 3. I then use Chemical Guys VSS scratch and swirl remover. 4. I then use Meguiar's Show Car Glaze. 5. I then seal the paint with Chemical Guys Jet Seal on all glass and paint. Let the Jet Seal cure for 20 minutes before wiping off. 6. I then use Chemical Guys Pete's 53 wax. Wipe on and wipe off. A very thin coat is what is required. 7. Next is Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish liquid wax. After going through all of these steps initially, you should then only have to wash and reapply the wax after that. I recommend re-waxing at a minimum of every four months. Many people will think that these steps are overkill, but it is the only way to get your car paint into great condition after years of neglect. Remember to always detail a car in the shade on a cool surface.
Best product I've ever used on a car. I'm 72 and I am giving this a 10. Beautiful shine, super easy.
I agree Larry. I hope you're doing well 3 years later.
The only unknown for me is how long it lasts, but even if I had to reapply monthly, I'd still say it's a win. Thanks for the review.
Nooby Vapor how’s it holding up for you? I did my dads tundra two months ago and it still looks like the day I applied it
I watch your videos because you keep it real !! Thanks
I bought this product based mostly on Scott's review. You cannot tell on this vid but this product works GREAT. I used it on my car and the pop it produces is amazing. This product works. I'm sold and will buy it again. Thank you Scott for turning me on to this product.

2009 G8 GT 6L how would you compare Fast Finish vs JetSeal?
Scott you are the best!!! I love your reviews and tips!!!
From a weekend worrier in NC with my daily driver Ford Fusion 2013. No one thinks it’s a 13 due to my upgrades and the way I care for the paint!!! Guys at Ford dealership are blown away and I attribute it to your help!! Thanks so much!!
One of the great selling points of this product is it’s anti-static properties after correcting dark vehicles apply this to it, it’ll help repel dust and pollen especially those living in such environments
I've tried several other brands over the years.
Always go back to Meguires.
Watch your videos every night after work. Quality content.
Bought n used this yesterday based on ur poitive feedback, on a customers car, Amazing result...got a slick wetlook finish on a black metallic Audi.
Great product, no problem whatever.
Take care.

Welcome
Another great review and knowledge passed on by Scott. This product rocks and does its job for those that don’t want to pay for a professional sealant service. Thanks always Scott
Scott your killing me your making my car detailing too easy i bought this after your recommendation and i got to tell ya after doing a wash then blow dry with another product i got because of your recommendation the Worx 600 i proceed to seal the paint on my Ford F250 at 62 years old it took me 10 minutes when i got done i said to myself i must have done this wrong because it didn't take me 2 hours and feel like i ran a marathon afterwards. I am 65+ and used this on a 2004 VW Beetle and people have asked me if I had my car repainted???? really nice product!!!!! easy for a older gal to use!!!!!!!!!!!!! and yes I clay bar my car once a year low mileage for me!!!!
I think your The "Paul Harvey" of Detailing Tutorials Because you always give the rest of the story.. Great Job..
Did you even listen to Paul harvey
I just did my Silver Porsche today with this. Clayed the car, then used Meguiar's M7 Glaze, then waxed it with Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax and finished it off with the Meguiar's Fast Finish and it looks awesome. You sound to me like Howard Stern ate Ray Romano.
thanks for the great information man. It's nice that you actually show real world stuff keep up the great videos!
Sold. Bought some. Looking so much to try it out. Love your channel!

Really a great product, used one can for 7 cars already and still about 25% left...in Germany it's about 22 EUR, but worth every Cent 👍
Thanks Scott, just picked up at Walmart for 12.97 can't wait to use it. Your the greatest. Lol
I started using a microfiber pad for application. It helps to smooth it out a little bit. Works great.
unlike the previous, i find your narratives somewhat soothing, slighty hypnotic and very relaxing. i bought this product from Amazon - on your say so. Mr. Meguiar, are you listening?
Still the best product and method for the DIY in my honest opinion even with all the new current products available.

Holy shit. you do sound like howard stern. you had to say something too. lol.
More like Ray Romano methinks.
OMG - that's it. Yes! LOL
fucker sounds more like Kermit the frog .. ha ha haa ha
I definitely appreciate the non inclusion of techno music (is it music)? What is it with most retailers and techno crud?

Awesome video. Must try it now.
A demo would make the video much more informative. Like applying, showing water hydrophobic qualities, and then using wax/grease remover to see how durable., and water again, after hitting it with the wax/grease remover.
can i use it on the head lights and on plastic? this stuff smells like diesel fuel i dont think its good for the lights
Try it out and report back
Forgive me if I'm asking a question that you already answered but can you use fast finish after a car has been polished (Ultimate polish)? Or is it a waste of time to polish and then seal? Is sealing enough to make the car look good or does polishing add to the better look? Thanks.
I really want to use this for paint protection but since it lacks filler capabilities can I use a butter wax on top?
I have a well maintained and mostly garaged black car but have a few scratches and imperfections. I use the Ultimate products because I feel I need to Ultimate polish this out after the Ultimate compound it then the Ultimate wax. Should I use this in place of the wax or after?
Scott,
Would you recommend Turtle Wax Ice over this if I have a car that hasn’t been paint corrected and goes through a car wash daily?
I’m a rideshare driver and my car is a 2011 Hyundai Sonata with Indigo Blue Pearl(code Y3U) paint. The car has some scratches and chips and imperfections, so would Turtle Wax Ice be better to build filling layers of protection?
MSDS sheets (which they are required to supply by law) will give insight to its ingredients.
I luv meguairs products and very rare use anything else treid meguairs ulamate compound on a 66 fird truck that not been washed it life time was a nightmare i used a rotarubwith a wool pad the results were amazing
$9.00 at my Walmart. Includes and microfiber towel too!
awesome!!!...thanks for letting me know:)
$4.50 at my Walmart. Same package !
what where do you live?
bakedpagan That was in MN 🤝
17$ today in florida had 3 $ off
In your opinion would you use a wax then the fast finish or the reverse. Or just use the fast finish?
Could you use beadmaker on top of this for extra shine? If so how long would you have to wait?
So use this instead of wax and other sealants....how well do you think this would work on my 5th Wheel trailer exterior?
Can you use fast finish an then use a liquid wax over it? What's the best way to do this..? Should you wax first and then periodically use a sealant?
Scott if you
Use road film remover can't you just use megs xpress spray wax. Why this product over the spray wax?
Thank you
great vid. thank you
Im not gonna clay bar my truck. Im gonna wash it well, polish it, and im gonna put some of this stuff on it. Oh, and my truck is white too. Wish me luck.

Do you still consider this to be a good product after seeing how long it lasted? It's on clearance and super cheap so I bought four cans.
I use that stuff but I polish and wax and then apply it as a sealer.
How does this product stack against meguiars ultimate wax? in terms of UV protection what's the better option.
Alex Lex Bleach that's something I'm curious about as well.
Hope this helped!
will this work with Griot's Fast Corecting Cream? Thank you
If ustit after to protect the paint yes but ipa after polishing
Really diggin on your videos. See a bit of 'you're a shill' comments aspect. I don't really see/feel it. But I think, if you will humor me, you should do/title the vids Pro or Joe (and a Pro&Joe) You make vids for Joe, but tend to talk Pro/Pro products overall. Just food for thought.
How would you say that this compares with "Ceramic" products? Longevity?
How does this Meguiar's Ultimate Finish compare to Ultima Paint Guard Plus?
OK but what is a nice wax type for a 1 month old white car to use prior to that. I just clayed her.
Cant get it anymore I liked it if I knew they were getting rid of it i would of bought a ton
Is it ok to use this on windows? And if my car paint is not in a perfect condition i shouldn't buy this?(and i don't clay car)
Ray Romono moved to Dallas?
Another home run, pal !
Scott, I think this is being discontinued. My walmarts had them on sale. I snagged up a few. Then checked brickseek and they are out everywhere in phoenix. I think someone bought them up and is selling them on ebay. :(
ACoustaDC can’t find them in my Walmart but it’s still on amazon for like $11.50
Hi Scott! You sold me on griots garage sealant, do you recommend this over the griots?
Thanks
José L Marquez Jose productions
I wouldn’t recommend it over Griots. But, it depends on what you’re looking for. If you want more deep shine, scratch filler, and total length of protection, use your Griots. If you’re looking for speed and for a quick, good quality product with no fillers, use the Fast Finish.

40 bucks in Australia, we pay tax on top of taxes for everything here. Maybe go the turtle ice.
How does Merguiar UFF compare to Ultimate Paint Guard Plus ? Any one tried UFF on glass ?
Would you wax after applying this?
Actually the instruction say you can wax your car before applying this.
Can more benefit be attainted by doing a second coat? Wait hours between coats?
Yes, just wait 24 hours. Love this stuff!
Would you use fast finish after using HD speed? Or just top HD speed with meguiars xpress spray wax
Ryan Costa sure. Although the benefit of HD speed is that it leaves wax behind. Its purpose is for those who dont want to do a LSP. If you plan on doing your own sealant use a cutting polish instead of HD speed.
Would you use this after a Griot's Boss finishing sealant?
Is he a professional? That makes the rest of us ‘do it yourself’ers’ I think I got it. Thanks for talking down to us maybe one day we’ll be in your league.
Get over yourself. You’re not a professional, this guy owns a whole detailing business.
If I applied adams paint sealent about a month in half ago is it okay to apply this over that sealent? And do I need to claybar? Will claybarring remove that sealent I applied?
Jessica Pen I would play it safe and clay bar your car before using this product.
Watched at 1.5 x speed.
Scott, how do you think the FastFinish ($50aud) compares to Gyeon CanCoat ($70aud). thanks
Compare great
Can coat is a ceramic
Can it be used on glass?
Can I put this over Nu Finish polish.
can you put wax on the top of this?
What about F11 top coat
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing thanks I will try it
Isnt a cleaner wax a chemical cleaner with no abrasives in it? Pretty sure. So without any abrasives it will not remove any fine scratches/swirls etc. Here is the description from Meguiars www.meguiars.com/en/automotive/products/a1216-cleaner-wax-liquid/
Don's Auto Detailing hi don so I don't need to do that I just bought the cleaner and ultimate and fast finish and I and waiting for a polisher I am going to practice on my girl's car
I just got like 5 of these for $1.35 a box 😎
I'm interested in this but how many cars do you get out of it?
one can can give me about 12 applications for my 4door lexus ES350
On the front of the can it says it a wax. On the back it says it’s a sealant.
Got this for $9.99 from Ollies.
I wanna use a wax also but don't know what order to do it in..
Wow that was a long sermon, on a Meguiar's product Lol 😂..thanks I enjoy your videos and lessons..
