I have a question about my 2008 Chrysler 300 , if i take off the cover on top of the engine is it possible i can see if theres mechanical damage from a timing belt breakage problem?
If the timing chain broke and was replaced (including cleaning debris) and timed correctly, a compression test would be the best way to see if you have damage.

If the timing chain is broken, the crank will be the only thing turning. The timing chain rotates the cam shaft with the crank shaft. If you can see your pulleys in front of the engine (power steering, water pump, alternator) rotating while you crank it then the crank is good. Open the oil filler cap, if you can see into the valve cover see if the cams (or rockers) are rotating while you crank the engine. That's usually the quickest way to see if you have a broken timing chain.
When i remove the timing belt cover i should be able to see the broken belt ?@@RezLife
