      oh, I'm hoping to find some this week in Washington. I also ordered some spores in the Spring and have been cultivating those here in case I can't find any in the wild this Autumn.

    Five years on this is more relevant than ever

    Easily the most informative reishi video I've found. The info that they like hemlock trees is especially useful. Many thanks, Herbal Jedi.

    It's December and I just found a nice big one near Mission BC. Must of been a late one to emerge as it was still soft, a beautiful red colour and smelled great. So I harvested it and made a decoction. I got that almost high feeling you described in the video so I'm assuming there was still some good medicine locked with in.

    I have a freeze dryer which leaves the pores of plants open versus closed when dehydrated. This preserves a lot more of the flavors, proteins etc than when dehydrated. I am wondering if this would be a great way to preserve these or would the potency be too much?

    dry it, grind it and mix with coffee or sprinkle on pasta like truffle essence...also can burn it for incense after you extract for tinctures

    Hey,
    I found a mushroom that looks like a Reid reishi but it is not shiny. It was growing on the ground beneath some bushes where I live.
    If it is not reishi, what else could it be? I don't want to get sick and die if I eat it.
    Thanks!

    I've picked what seem to be very healthy specimens in mid Nov. in Seattle area. Or at least seem to be much fresher than last mushroom in video. Are you sure about latest harvesting time being Aug- Sept? Also do you have any idea how long can store dry? Thanks so much for great videos and energy...probably watched at least 50 already and looking forward to the rest.

    Just curious but what’s the difference between drying out the fresh reishi mushroom when you cut it into slices vs an already dried out mature reishi mushroom? Aren’t they both dried out in the end?

    • @Herbal_Jedi
      @Herbal_Jedi  4 роки тому +1

      If you are referring to the last year's dried ones on the tree, yes both are dried, though the old ones not that viable anymore as their chemistry has changed and their medicinal qualities are lower.
      If that is all you could find, you may want to try them, provided they have not got any secondary mold or fungus growth on them.

    • @S2sparkleS2

      Herbal Jedi yes! sorry my question wasn’t worded too clearly. Thank you for responding!! 🙂
