    Thank you for creating and sharing this video. I recall when I was 7, while waiting to see an orthopaedic specialist, reading a Newsweek magazine highlighting mayoral elections in Palestinian enclaves within Israel. This article covered the terror, torture and murder of moderate Palestinian candidates, and their family members, which recognized the existence of Israel, by groups like the PLFP. I knew even back then, after watching tiny Israel survive the onslaught levelled against them during the 6 Day War, that God was with them. I will always support and defend the legitimacy of the existence of the State of Israel. Am Yisrael Chai.

    Egypt threatening to tear up the peace treaty, when they got the Sinai back for peace, wow definitely wasnt worth giving that back then. The whole formula of "land for peace" is a self-delusion. Look at the streets of Egypt and Jordan. Look at the gleeful candy parties when that Jordanian murdered Jews. Peace cannot be achieved via a concept of appeasing a bully with one's lunch money. It's not about land, but about religion, and whoever thinks otherwise is perpetuating violence.

    Natasha is brilliant as usual.
    I still wonder how the "Uti Posidetis Juris" come to an end in this case. Natasha mentioned peace agreement, but surely Palestinians can no longer claim all Palestinian territory as described in the partition plan of -48 even though the "snapshot" is from May -48? Large areas taken/retaken in the defensive wars -48, -67 and -73 probably needs to remain Israel territory for security reasons.
    What does international law say about ganing territory in a defensive war? To me it seems reasonable that the attacker loose territory for every war they start. At least if that is the way the war end.
    The other option is that the attacker always get the territory back if they loose, which I find preposterous. If a country is attacked I think the desired outcome is that the Attacker loose territory whenever possible.
    Edit: /retaken

    • @lomgale
      @lomgale 2 місяці тому +4

      You start from a great misunderstanding: You say that the "Palestinians can no longer claim all Palestinian territory" The only legal Palestinian territory is the land which Israel has given to them through the Oslo Acord. Of course, they now might face a situation where they will lose some of this land, and they will have to learn to live with that or not.

    • @gorans6602
      @gorans6602 2 місяці тому +1

      @@lomgaleThan you for the answer.
      Just a clarification. The "misunderstanding" is the question, not a statement. It's very unclear to me what teritories "palestinians" actually claim or may have a legal right to claim. It was the bit about "Uti Posidetis Juris" and "snapshot from -48" that got me even more confused. As I understand it, if the Arabs had not started the wars there could be negotiations about territory borders as mentioned in the partition plan of -47 to resolve the "Uti Posidetis Juris". As I see it the wars changed that, or at least they should have in my opinion.
      Arafat proclaimed a palestinian state in -88, some 5 years before the Oslo accords. As territory he proclaimed something like 'anywhere Palestinians reside', which I believe is not in accordance with how states are legaly proclaimed. As you explained they actually had no territory to proclaim a state in. That means they should not be considered a state at all, which would be the most correct interpretation as I understand it. After the Oslo Accords they did have the areas Israel gave them, but still not a definitiv state.

    • @keepussafeUSA
      @keepussafeUSA 2 місяці тому

      @@lomgale I thought everything about OSLO is temporary, and certain milestones had to be achieved before the Palestinians could attain statehood there per the agreement.

    • @lomgale
      @lomgale 2 місяці тому +1

      @@keepussafeUSA To my recollection, The Oslo Accords never mentioned a state, so I had to look it up because many people ‎misrepresent it.‎
      Below is a version from Vicky, but people are welcome to bring other postings; you can find ‎many out there.‎
      You are correct that it was a temporary arrangement.‎
      In fact, the final status was supposed to have been reached within five years.‎
      Israel committed to several acts, importantly placing territories with the authority of the ‎Palestinians.‎
      Other than statements of empty words, the only obligation of the Palestinians was to stop ‎terror. Not for one hour of one day did the Palestinians comply with this obligation, and all ‎factions representing different groups of Palestinians continued with terrorism or with ‎financing terrorism until this very day.‎
      Of course, this caused immense suffering for Israelis and Palestinians and ensured that the ‎Oslo process could not continue.‎
      These are the leading Principles of the Oslo Acord.‎
      Principles of the Accords Main article:‎
      Oslo Accords In essence, the accords called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from parts of ‎the Gaza Strip and West Bank, and affirmed a Palestinian right of self-government within ‎those areas through the creation of a Palestinian Interim Self-Government Authority. ‎Palestinian rule was to last for a five-year interim period during which "permanent status ‎negotiations" would commence in order to reach a final agreement. The negotiations would ‎cover major issues such as Jerusalem, Palestinian refugees, Israeli settlements, and security ‎and borders were to be decided at these permanent status negotiations (Article V). Israel was ‎to grant interim self-government to the Palestinians in phases. Along with the principles, the ‎two groups signed Letters of Mutual Recognition-the Israeli government recognized the ‎PLO as the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, while the PLO recognized the ‎right of the state of Israel to exist and renounced terrorism as well as other violence, and its ‎desire for the destruction of the Israeli state. The aim of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations was ‎to establish a Palestinian Interim Self-Government Authority, an elected Council, for the ‎Palestinian people in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, for a transitional period not ‎exceeding five years, leading to a permanent settlement based on UN Security Council ‎Resolutions 242 and 338, an integral part of the whole peace process. In order that the ‎Palestinians govern themselves according to democratic principles, free and general political ‎elections would be held for the council. Jurisdiction of the Palestinian Council would cover ‎the West Bank and Gaza Strip, except for issues that would be finalized in the permanent ‎status negotiations. The two sides viewed the West Bank and Gaza as a single territorial unit. ‎The permanent status negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians would start "not later ‎than the beginning of the third year of the interim period"; the interim period would "begin ‎upon the withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and Jericho area".[3] That withdrawal began with ‎the signing of the Gaza-Jericho Agreement on 4 May 1994,[4] thus the interim period would ‎end on 4 May 1999.[5] The five-year transitional period would commence with Israeli ‎withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and Jericho area. There would be a transfer of authority from ‎the Israel Defense Forces to the authorized Palestinians, concerning education and culture, ‎health, social welfare, direct taxation, and tourism. The council would establish a strong ‎police force, while Israel would continue to carry the responsibility for defending against ‎external threats.‎

      @lomgale Thanks for the info. I think it is unfair for the "donkey" party in the US and UN to push for a 2 state delusion until the Palestinian society stops Pay for Slay and indoctrination of their children to be martyrs. But the even bigger monster is Iran regime funding this too. I know there is so much archeological proof of Jews in the Judea and Samaria which will be destroyed if it becomes a "premature" Palestinian state. It is such a mess. Israel really needs the help of modern Arab nations ( UAE or Saudi Arabia) to help Palestinian society evolve such that coexistence can ever be achieved. Hope Israel gets the support it needs from leaders w clarity in the world instead of knee jerk condemnation. I'm pretty fed up by the upside-down world.

    As Natasha noted, Self-Determination is enshrined in international law, and the Palestinians have every right to that. However, the right to self-determination does not confer borders as the Palestinians want those borders to be. As it stand now, they want everything east of the green armistice line. They will need to negotiate any future borders as there is no escaping it as they are trying to do through legal means (lawfare)

      Arabs from gaza, Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem should move in Jordan, which has been created in the breach of British Mandate in 2022 and consists of 75% of the territory which has been intended for Jewish National Home.

    • @dh5142
      @dh5142 2 місяці тому +4

      Wrong, the Palestinians are Arabs, Arabs already have 21 states. One of them is Jordan, which sits on 75% of the territory of what was used to be called Palestine.
      Most importantly, the Palestinians already have autonomy, which satisfies the requirement for self-determination. I would add that the way they run their autonomy proves that they do not qualify for self detarmition. Why would anyone want to support another despotic regime, run by barbaric terrorists without any human rights or aspirations for civil developments?

    The Arabs don't talk about the jews refugees from Arabs countries that came to Israel after they suffered from pogroms and Humiliation in the Arabs countries and the jews really lived in the Arabs countries for generations not like most of the Arabs that arrived to palestina in the 19th century. The number of the jewish refugees from Arabs countries are 850000 more than the Arabs refugees from palestina. Some examples from pogroms in Arabs countries in 1941 in Iraq the pogrom called the Farhud. In Morocco in 1912 the pogrom in the city of fez called the Trital. In 1948 the pogrom in syria in the city of alapo in Yemen in 1948 in the city of Eden, and in 1948 in Morocco the pogrom in the city of ojda.

    Natasha as a supporter of Jews, i hate the word settlement and settlers. It's makes no freaking sense. Israelite should stop using that word, it's makes them looks bad, First of all, You cannot be a Native or indigenous of the land of Israel, then also identify yourself as a settlers, You cannot have a settlement on your own indigenous land. Such double claims makes Jews & Israelis looks bad. You cannot called an African American who decided to moved to live in Africa a settler. Google the word settler

      @@lomgale I understand that 💯 but You have to understand that people around the world don't see it that way. They understand it in the English translation as foreign occupation, this gives the legitimate reason for Arabs that claims to identify themselves as a Palestinians and unfortunately this is why many fools are against Israel and Jewish people. Words matters. The English Meaning is different from the Hebrew meaning and English is a global language.
