    And then 9 years later, he regains as the all-time leader in passing touchdowns in a season when he pass 55 touchdowns passing Tom Brady’s record of 50 in 2007.

    The Colts really had the perfect offense. I think if Manning hadn't been pulled in some of those games, he could have had 8-10 TD passes in a game. When you can get 6 in a half, you are on fire. Look at those weapons. Harrison, Wayne, Stokely, Clark, Pollard and James. That is a Madden lineup right there.

    Manning is the closest NFL QB to ever throw a touchdown every 10 passes. That statline alone is wild. In a standard good season, 4000 yards, 30 TD's, you probably throw about 550-600 attempts, or about 5-5.5% of all passes go for TD's. He threw the ball 497 times all year, which is extremely low for a QB, but the efficiency was wild. Truly a wonder how this team got figured out, props to New England for doing so.

      The most efficient season ever (2004 - 1 TD pass every 10 attempts, threw for a 1st down on 45.5% of his attempts) & the most prolific season ever (Most Points in a Single Season - 606, Most TD Passes in a Single Season - 55, Most Passing Yards in a Single Season - 5477) with two different teams in the same career.
      Was very easily arguable, the best QB in the NFL for all but 2 seasons (2007, 2010) from 2003-2013. His teams had a 77.5% winning %* in games he started in that stretch.
      * - excludes games his team rested starters for seeding & played a different QB

    Peyton Manning > Tom Brady

  • @zabirozzi
    @zabirozzi Рік тому +1

    Manning was on Top of Greatness by himself with Kurt Warner! Brady was just coming up. One thing Manning showed is you don't need best offensive line. A Qb who has his great awareness and anticipation and timing because he snaps back and quickly releases ball timing with WR where they need to be. Of course in order to pull this off you better be pinpoint accurate. I'm pretty most people can master the timing of drop back and releasing ball which offsets bad offensive line, as you see most of passes are thrown on route quick decision making, but most people are not that accurate or pinpoint like manning was. He didn't have strongest arm as you can see. When his arm got weaker he got better more control of ball with broncos. Kurt Warner, Tom Brady and Peyton manning are greatest Qb's to ever play! But Peyton was King of HIll by himself for long time because warner was injured and Brady was up and coming and Peyton the Great manning he had resurgence at end of his career.
