Try a Red Devil #4048 trim guard...to tuck the film in at the bottom...worked for me over 20 years...

I assume you mean the Shank. I used to tuck the bottom. Can find them on tintdepot.com website.

I do on almost every side window. Takes 15 seconds per window and makes for a solid install.
