    Thank God for you Hank. For decades, your work has been integral in edifying me to continue in my journey to be more like Christ. I have recently found a church home in The Holy Catholic Anglican Church. It is a smaller part of the U.S. Anglican Church that decided to preserve the original beliefs from the seven ecumenical councils when the rest of the U.S. Anglicans aligned with the Episcopal Church. I am finally partaking in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist and worshiping God the way the original church did. It’s as if I finally found the missing piece.

    Thank you Hank! I needed years of spiritual journey and solo scriptura and through toughness of life events God brought me to the same conlusion: He is Life and Life matters more then dogmas! In the best meaning of faithfullness to His truth but also living in the heart!

    Hank, correct me if I am missing something here. But physical immortality was only possible for humanity via the Tree of Life, was it not? Gen 3:22-24 would go a good ways to at least leave the possibility for WLCs stance right? Spiritual death was the result of sin and the disease we now live with as it passes down generationally from Adam and Eve right? Is it not a reasonable stance to take that Physical immortality was being granted because of their allowance to eat of the Tree of Life? Is the Holy Eucharist not a typology of this concept (though granted from physical to spiritual)?
    Sorry about the rapid fire questions there. My mind went all over the place. Maybe I did misunderstand some of your comments.

      @BibleAnswerMan  Рік тому +1

      @Jeremy-qv7bwYes. WLC’s understanding is that the historical Adam would have died regardless of the Fall (i.e., original sin; the eating from the tree of knowledge). This is similar to the Pelagian heresy. See this article www.equip.org/articles/the-imprudence-of-solo-scriptura/ (Do read the end notes too)
      Early Christians held that Adam and Eve were created neither mortal nor immortal. When Adam and Eve sinned in eating from the Tree of Knowledge they fell into a mortal state. As the Lord said, “You will surely die,” (not immediately, but surly), and they eventually died. It is through the Christ, the second Adam, that we receive immortality. So Romans 5 and 1 Corinthians 15.
      Christ is in a way the Tree of Life.

      @@BibleAnswerMan You worded that better in the sense that it is safer I think. I said Eucharist as it is Christ and comparable to fruit from the Tree of Life. But I could be drawing a line too far.
      For further clarifications, do you believe that Adam and Eve were eating from the Tree of Life leading up to the Tree of Knowledge, or had they not yet eaten of the Tree of Life?
      (Also, thank you for the article, reading it asap.)

    I just hope my love and works for God are enough. If my heart and my repentance aren't enough, I don't know what is.

      @Michael-ts8wc Hank is encouraging all to read the Scriptures, but move away from reading false doctrines in to the Word, but see the value in being connected to the Body of Christ through fellowship within the context of a healthy well balanced church to receive teachings from the Scriptures and guidance from abandoning the faith passed on from Christ to the apostles and down to us. Hank, am I mistaken that the Orthodox Church has no official dogma regarding the existence of a literal Adam and Eve, or how the first humans originated?

    • @BibleAnswerMan
      @BibleAnswerMan  11 місяців тому

      There is never a denial of the historical Adam and Eve in Eastern Orthodox Holy Tradition per se. But if what your supposing is that the error of theistic evolution is hardly an error embraced according to denominational lines. Protestant Christian apologist William Lane Crag, as mentioned in the video, shows that Protestants from conservative evangelical circles buy into that lie. But to be certain, I am certain there can be a list made for Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox bishops, priests, and theologians who make the same mistakes. The important thing is that the present is not the time to buy into the bankrupt idea of Darwinian Evolution. Keep your eye on the ball for this issue. Don't make the mistake of thinking theistic evolution is confined within certain denominational lines. Lol, whelp, the Second London Baptist Confession states in Chapter 26, 4, The Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of the church, in whom, by the appointment of the Father, all power for the calling, institution, order or government of the church, is invested in a supreme and sovereign manner; neither can the Pope of Rome in any sense be head thereof, but is that antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalteth himself in the church against Christ, and all that is called God; whom the Lord shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.

    Is the death of the soul a way to describe separation from God and not a literal dying of the soul?

    • @BibleAnswerMan
      @BibleAnswerMan  Рік тому +1

      @ Help Memorizing Scripture ~ Death came as the result of sin, which separates us from God. We all have the broken gene of sin which brings about death, the disease is incurable, less we receive the cure,- the blood of Christ.
      Death in one sense is the unnatural separation of the body from the soul. Death in another sense is the eternal separation from the goodness and grace of God - the Second Death - when Jesus judges the sinner can cast them into the lake of fire. See www.equip.org/articles/abandon-hope-all-ye-who-enter-here/
      Consciousness remains after the death of the body. See www.equip.org/article/is-soul-sleep-biblical/
