Nice touch with the adjustment on the back of the helmet. Love the safety call system. Price is on the expensive side. I run a TLD Stage myself. This is a definite option for my next purchase.
Never ever seen myself as a rider that needed a ff but after my last off not a big one but the helmet did hit the ground which caused my neck issues, and hitting the big 40, I must say I'm looking more and more at a full face .
I just ordered my Gambit today. I should have it in a few days. I think a little more protection would be great and give me a little more confidence. This helmet will be a great upgrade to my half shell.
After seeing this today, I tried the Gambit at my local Specialized dealer. Have to say that the Gambit was not comfortable against the back side of my skull due to a lack of padding there. Do already own the excellent Specialized ANGI accident reporting system on my Specialized Ambush Comp which is a very comfortable light weight non-face guard helmet. Think Specialized sacrificed too much comfort to keep the Gambit full-face lighter in weight.
I currently have a trigger FF coming from a Proframe and previously Troy Lee helmets I skipped the gambit because I tried it in store and it was the worst fitting helmet I've ever tried it was very weird as if the grippy part in the back was too tight behind but still loose on the sides. Very weird I wanted to like it so badly it looks killer 😂
Great review! One question though, do the cheek pads stay in place well? I’ve been looking to buy one but I’ve seen a few reviews say the cheek pads fall out after a few rides. Thanks
Hello bro, may i ask that , Gambit is really better than Sworks Dissident ? The price is around 60 USD different . It's seems that Dissident is heavier but also protects more . I am still hesitating about which one to buy
So have you made a choice ? i'm interested by these 2 helmets too. last week I bought the Proframe RS (L Size, headsize 60cm), i love the design but something is not right. Not very comfortable. Pretty disapointed by Fox. I'll send it back. This morning i tried the Gambit, it's day and night. Very comfortable ! I had to choose M size instead to L like my Ambush 2. Not so easy to choose between helmet brands ^^
Got one already due to the wait. Also have a Bell Super Air R (also 640g) however Detachable and removable jaw.. 1 thing I have noticed about the Gambit is the back micro and support is lower on the back of your head. Helmet doesn't rise as much when you put lights on it...🙃😉
@@claytonprice7833 I also bought the Bell Super Air R and the Specialized Gambit and I decided to keep the Gambit. It is very hard to drink with my camelbak with the Super Air. The Gambit has more room in the front face area and can put the drinking mouthpiece directly in through the middle of the front chinbar.
Great! I saw this in one of your videos and wanted to suggest to make a review :)) is the visor adjustable and replaceable? Can't find that info anywhere and it's pretty important if you break it to be able to get a new one . Thx
Thanks mate! Paul the visor isn’t movable but it’s in a perfect position and never thought about moving it! As far as replacements I would say yes but not 💯 sure
I stopped preaching about full face helmets. I ware a fox proframe all the time no matter how hot it is. Got one of my friends to At least get a full face even though it’s not the best at least it’s something. I see people at my local trails not wearing any helmet at all. I think I will get the specialized but I like the green and all out of stock only black is left. Also want to get the tracker .Want to match my green camo trek rail. Great information. 👍
Defo runs big. I got my Gambit in medium and still have to tighten the retention system up almost fully. Every other helmet I have, or have had, is large.

Thanks Phil definitely the stage is a fantastic lid

Nice one Pat, let us know how you get on!
Great video review! I've been thinking about this helmet since I first saw it.
Thanks mate!
love your reviews. spot on. Cheers

I get what your saying but for me I love it! I’m using it 💯 of all my enduro/ trail riding
Great advice Sam, i have heard of a few bad things lately, i am making the change .
Yes Mark I actually always where this full face helmet now because you never know when you’re going catch a rock on the pedal and over you go!

Thanks Luke, I’ve had zero problems with with the pads
@@SamsBikes I ended up gluing mine in place. All good now lol
Thanks for the review. Any downsides if I ride bmx in this helmet?
I thought you are doing a review on helmet not the review about abstract full face helmet benefits
Sorry rider I’ll think about that

Im not sure I don’t use lights much! But I’ve had the bell and 💯 the gambit is better
Which do you prefer Clayton?
@@lobogilbert5245 The Gambit, a little more in the front for sipping water and I'm able to wear a sweet band in the same size helmet.

I just got this for use with a EUC that I will be doing 30-35 MPH on 🙂 Hopefully it's enough lol

Would be great to see you compare to TLD and Fox carbon versions to this….
Good idea but I need to buy them all jaja
Hi Sam, how is the sizing on the Gambit?
The fit is perfect mate 🧉

Why would want the wife to know I'm down the pub?
=))
Hhahahaha
Is the wiser adjustable?up and down
No mate it isn’t
🆘 Help! Need a Magic Marry 29 2.6 😭 can’t find one anywhere. I pay for it! 🙏🏼
Sorry mate I can’t sell my tires but maybe try all the online shops in Europe?
