- This @iconvehicledynamicstv service was done for one of our Same Day Shock Service customers. All 4 corners got new oil and seals, but one of the rears needed some extra help.
The customer had no idea why only this side was so bad, any guesses?

We love seeing the shocks get the TLC they deserve! Thank you Shock Surplus for taking care of this customer 👏
Thank you guys! We appreciate everything that you guys do for us as well! The customer is loving it. The pleasure is all ours!
Any advice if the 10 com T bearing housing is worn on the top of the shock? I had to change out the bearing, took my truck to a shop to do this and the guys made the housing worn, now The new bearing can’t fit. Could I get the top of the shock to buy and just replace it?
Contact us and send us some pictures. We'll then see if the parts you need are in stock.
This is gold man..!!! Thank you ..
Thx for the information.
That is great to hear!
can you list all the tools you used?
Hello, I would like to use an oil from another brand, which one do you recommend and what viscosity to use?
How critical is the condition of the teflon coating on the shock seal head? Mine is fairly worn. Is it okay to let it ride or does it need to be replaced?
You should definitely get it serviced. If the seal is wearing out, it'll eventually start to leak. You should get ahead of this before it gets worse. Please email us with pictures of everything and we can help you out.
Got about 10,000 miles on my icons. Rebound is weak on one. I suspect the nitrogen is low. What PSI should these Icons be at?
most of the time we clock psi around 200 on Icon and Fox
How often do these type of shocks need to be serviced?
It's a case by case but you can follow this:
100% daily - every 50,000-60,000
50% daily/50% off-roading - every 30,000-40,000
100% off-roading - every 5,000-10,000
How do Bilstein 5160 compare to Fox 2.0?
Depends, they have their pros and cons but both are great options for off-roading.
@@ShockSurplus if you had to pick?
@@johnrommelt6560 I'd go with fox 2.0 of I was on budget and wanted comfort. 5160 with no budget and wanted the better (of the two) offroad performance.
