Top 2 shoes: Pricetag $10 difference, and having 2 sec/km faster. If running a full marathon (using 42km), that's 84 sec saved, so or about $0.11/km. My money is on the more expensive one
I don't even run but just from walking 5+ miles a day I had to invest in a pair of Saucony shoes. My feet were getting messed up wearing normal sneakers.
@idotheyeet9498 Yea its mainly to keep my blood pressure down and I live far enough from the shopping center for that to be a daily walk to the store. To be fair as far as pace I usually walk like 4 mph or a bit more so it's not as bad but I do have an electric bike it just needs the rear flywheel replaced.
I have heard people say that these are just for marketing, and that it's the runner, not the shoe. To those who say that, I reply, you obviously haven't done much running to know what you're talking about. The difference between a super shoe and a regular shoe could be 2-4 minutes difference over a 10km distance.
Fun fact: the 5000m and 10000m world records got barely broken. Bekele ran 26:17 in 2005 which is only 6 secs slower than the current world record. About the same over 5000m. It's all marketing rubbish.
I´m surprised you can buy speed even in running... Recently got a much needed upgrade for my spikes on the cheap, now also sort of want to upgrade my shoes for the upcoming test...
Tyler just so you know, Better Help is pretty much universally considered to be a fraud and you probably should expect some backlash for having them sponsor you.
hey i saw you had what looked like a dexcom on when you where running thats very cool to see that someone with diabetes is a great running role model my sister is diabetic btw. I saw it again and did not look like it mb
Use trainers/regular tennis shoes for practice and spikes only for meets so that in meets the spikes give you the extra couple seconds but if you used the spikes in practice you couldn’t see much of a difference.
these all have to be because of higher effort. Seen a guy use 40 brooks shoes and then the most expensive ones and only lost 4 seconds off his mile.....
Clarification “pay to win” is kinda a lie but also not, the shoes do help, but not enough where if a inexperienced runner used them against an experienced runner without them the experienced runner would win, but I think most of you already know that
Please don’t take this video as a scientific test lol
😂 no worries man, keep up the hard work
tyler we neeeed the summer trials series back this summer
You’re fit 😮
no
i dont have the money
Thanks for this scientific test video Tyler!
🤣🤣🤣💀
Tyler said this is not a scientific test but I agree

@@izaaktyler1733Fr and streaks are 100$ on Nike and vapes are $150 on goat but af1 is discontinued so u can get them for good deal 😢
I run 5:53 with basic running shoes. There's no way
@@SmokeiziI don’t think he’s going all out
the heart rate data would've been cool to see
True
He said he would keep the same heart rate for each mile, idk how true that is tho
He ran 5, 5min miles there’s no way the heart rate stayed the same. I bet he could break 5 mins in the last shoe on mile 2

Streakfly do not have carbon plate btw, i use them for my tempo runs
Good catch! That’s my bad 😅
They have like a speed board for quick turnover
They have a pebax plate
You 😮
WHY? THERE IS NO CARBON
PLATE IN THE STREAKFLY 😭😭
there is a Pebex plate tho
pebax midfoot shank, added for stability purposes. streakfly relies on the foam and lightness
@@aSkibidiRunner There's a plate, it's just not carbon.
it's a 5k shoe, 5k shoes don't usually need carbon plates to be good and just rely on being light.
Run a mile in all kinds of spikes. For example sprinting, pole vault, jumping, and distance spikes.
Top 2 shoes: Pricetag $10 difference, and having 2 sec/km faster. If running a full marathon (using 42km), that's 84 sec saved, so or about $0.11/km. My money is on the more expensive one
This guy maths!
Please do the same w every PED that runners have been caught with
Ooooff proper testing the ethics/science border. But it's pointless they make you faster... the E is the crucial part
Next up, Dragonfly! ;)
Saying "This sport is pay to win" is CRAZY. Love the videos Tyler.
Great Video!!! Btw What’s Your PR In The 5k?
I am always so excited when Tyler makes a new video
Every score score added up to 11😭
u actually slow asl
Finally an upload
WOW! A running biscuit.
no way, the guy in the back was doing a beer mile
I was thinking the same thing!
I want to see you running a marathon in those prototypes ngl
Wow you’re really fit 😮 I’ve watched you for a month and I’m so amazed of what you can do!
47k subs is crazy bro you deserve so much more
🙋♀Streakfly does not have a carbon plate. It has a pebax plate. Also hot take pegs are bad trainers
Ngl it's more of a hot take to consider pegs good trainers
Nah they have a little pebax shank in the middle.
to be honest and passed the first impression, I find this guy to be a good runner
An American calling them trainers. I'm subbed
WE HAVE TO SEE THESE IN A FULL MARATHON
Came across your channel randomly, subbed because you are a fantastic presenter.
It would be really cool to use a footpod like the Stryd to use watts to be more scientific
The camera man riding a skateboard 😂😂😂
are these supershoes good or bad for the knees? for someone with bad knees, does a shoe exist that is knee supportive while running?
So sir, you are running a few miles today 😂
I've put down about 600 miles on my Peg 39s i love those shoes man
Love your vids Tyler keep up the hard work
Good to know that the people on the internet who passed by the computer are ok!😚
You should test run the Puma rule breakers, it’s like the final boss of super shoes
Anyone else notice how every rating adds up to 11??????
Great video a must watch for runners
Those pants 😂
But he maintained the same heart rate?
I don't even run but just from walking 5+ miles a day I had to invest in a pair of Saucony shoes. My feet were getting messed up wearing normal sneakers.
Do you have a bike? You should try to invest in faster transport, 5 miles to school would take about 1 hour and 40 minutes at a 3 mph pace.
@smythfamily8321 He never said that he was going to school or anything he could just be walking for excercise.
@idotheyeet9498 Yea its mainly to keep my blood pressure down and I live far enough from the shopping center for that to be a daily walk to the store. Are you in Austin Texas?
A fucking good workout. Awesome job man
Why not the vaporfly 3s?
Gotta do that marathon i can see
The worst part of a Tyler Speers video is knowing it will be more than a month before another.
New video within a week!
90 percent mental whoa
I hit the like just for the shorts 😂 👍
teh shorts are crazy
Also gotta consider than most of lactic acid is burned out and how you ran a lot more

The difference between a super shoe and a regular shoe could be 2-4 minutes difference over a 10km distance.
Tyler even if the video doesn't get 3k likes can you still run a marathon and also in your opinion what is the best 5km race shoe.
I bought pegasus US-9 for 46 (41+5-shipping) (with a uni team logo, Baltimore..)
5:53 is my pr
These all tests are in the same day?
Why are you wearing jorts
Jean shorts? Where…
Did that DM actually work or did you have to pay 💰 for all of those shoes 👟
Superfly next!
Does the af3 outsole worn out quickly?
Yes
what is that fit
I don’t think this is accurate you should have run the mile on 5 different days.
Nice video bro, add in hr data so people know it's the shoes, not your running high and expectation that create reality though😊😊
i love my nike pegasus for my easy - long runs
W cameraman
Bro has every Nike supershoe yet he’s a whole year behind on his peg model 😭
At an all out effort I feel like a streakfly would be a lot better in a mile than alphaflys but maybe that’s just me
Fun fact: the 5000m and 10000m world records got barely broken. Bekele ran 26:17 in 2005 which is only 6 secs slower than the current world record. About the same over 5000m.

tou should do on adidas ones
Streakflys has no carbon plate 😂
I´m surprised you can buy speed even in running... Recently got a much needed upgrade for my spikes on the cheap, now also sort of want to upgrade my shoes for the upcoming test...
How is the energy return/bounce of metaspeed sky paris compared to the other shoes?
bro those were vaporfly 2s
Tyler just so you know, Better Help is pretty much universally considered to be a fraud and you probably should expect some backlash for having them sponsor you.
kinda disappointing but they just see the money and take it
what heartrate?
Please avoid BetterHelp in the future, mate… don’t help them make more victims.
What happened
Need to do the test every other day for extreme accuracy. You will be tired by the last mile.
just subbed, great speed man
Imagine spending hundreds of dollars on shoes and you can only go 5:30
Why Pegasus 39 and not the 40s?
How do you prepare for a 5k
ima take the pegs
hey i saw you had what looked like a dexcom on when you where running thats very cool to see that someone with diabetes is a great running role model my sister is diabetic btw. I saw it again and did not look like it mb
Yes! I have a Dexcom G7 + am Type 1 diabetic
why did u get kicked out of the track lol?
School was still in session lol
There is not a single shoe that exists worth that price tag
Can someone tell me if I’m supposed to be using spikes for training? Or without spikes for track cleats
Use trainers/regular tennis shoes for practice and spikes only for meets so that in meets the spikes give you the extra couple seconds but if you used the spikes in practice you couldn’t see much of a difference.
This shorts are a crime
u gotta make a marathon video in the AF3s
please try some Indonesian running shoes brands, like Ortuseight or 910!
No carbon plate in the streakfly
How does a shoe make you slower? I get if they are heavy but I don’t get it
Cool video Tyler, but unfortunately provides very little information except price and your subject feeling as a runner.
Please don’t run a marathon in the pegs. That seems cruel.😂
these all have to be because of higher effort. Seen a guy use 40 brooks shoes and then the most expensive ones and only lost 4 seconds off his mile.....
The streakflys don’t have a carbon plate lol
What is the best walking shoe
Not a running shoe
No love for your trail brothers in the Nike ultrafly?
Streakfly doesn’t have carbon fiber plate
The streakfly doesnt have a plate it has a plastic shank
Those are old vaporflys
Clarification “pay to win” is kinda a lie but also not, the shoes do help, but not enough where if a inexperienced runner used them against an experienced runner without them the experienced runner would win, but I think most of you already know that
