I thought when you were frying the bacon, that it was actually the rain coming down from outside in your video…Lol! Nice to hear your self motivating one’s self to get er done. Wow, the property is looking greener. As you are, Stay friendly, safe and have a really good weekend Sean.
Great video Sean. The quality of your video has really come a long way. It might not be noticeable to many because it's been little changes gradually. But your recording and editing skills are definitely coming along well for someone who claims to be bad at tech. Sorry for laughing at you when the tree got hung up. Only because it happened to me so many times, I felt the inner pain of watching that. I've become a master of using my come along for that. And lastly, I had to laugh when you explained how to square a building/layout. It makes perfect sense to me when you explain it and I can see it in my head as you are detailing the steps. But when I tried to explain it to my wife the other day as we squared up the floor, I just got a blank stare of confusion. Thank you again for joining us for brats last week. We were honored you came by.
Salmon are in...if you guys are free, I would love to have you over for a catch and cook a week from Saturday! I will send you a text. I have at least 3 trees a year that fail to fall hahahhahha! As for laying out the square I think it is a guy thing....we can visualize that sort of stuff in our heads lol Thanks for the kind words on editing! We are always our own worst critics right? I am loving watching you guys build your dream!
That's a great start, ( the remaining trees, wouldn't you think bringing them down now, versus later, ( call dead ones ) give more elbow room, I love my Ryobi sawzall replacement batteries Walmart $ 45.99 for 2 , a kit from Amazon cam , three batteries 21 volts, blades, charger, case sawzall, $ 75.99, that's a steal, at that price, only thing is, put all your batteries in a box, come winter time batteries don't like the cold, give everybody a break with the chainsaw,, sawzall is lighter weight, it's like cutting butter, smooth and simple, and funner too!, be safe out there 💚. Happy trails
Hello, Sean! I saw you wearing a jacket because it was chilly, i got jealous! It's been raining here in Florida as well, but it doesn’t take the humidity away, it makes it worse. ( 90° and up) Oh well, life goes on 😅. Good luck on your new project. Take care and please be safe!
Well this was fun! My son and his family are on their way to Alaska! They said this is the last move they'll make so they said I better be ready to go in September. =) Anyway, hi Sean! Hi chickens!
Hi Sean. Not related to this video, but your recent solar ones. You noted that you had tied your batteries together in parallel. Normally all the batteries in the parallel should be identical and similar age, otherwise the weaker ones will draw for the better ones continually dropping your power, especially as you mentioned in an early vid that one pretty much cooked.
You are 100% correct! The only reason I did this is because the batteries were free and they only power my 12 volt lights. I will not use these batteries much longer and I really wanted to see how it would work.
If you are staying with lead acid, I would buy a low voltage shutoff. Shuts down the output if battery level goes below 12v ( roughly 50% charge). My batteries are 5 years old and still going strong because of this.
Please send me the rain. It’s been very hot and dry here in Eastern Oregon. ❤. My heart dropped when the tree you cut got hung up. Good job.
We have had a pretty dry summer here so far too....luckily we have had rain at least once a week.

Life is fun. Always another project. Have fun. Alaska is beautiful even when raining
Hi Sean, happy Friday 😎👍
Happy Friday Joseph!
Nice open space. It will be nice to have it close to the house. Thanks!
It sure will! Lol...
When a tree gets hung up like that my Grandpa would call that a Widowmaker.
Yup!
@@Offgridtrucker My grandfather and Dad said the same thing.

We have been in the 50s here....and loads of rain!
@@SeanInAlaska I wish we could have some of those 50s down here! 😁But we have to wait until the end of the year. See you on your next video!
Grass good mulch on gardens
Ot is! And the chickens love it too!
Awesome job on clearing the area for the wood shed. I know it's a lot of work too. Keep the great work.
It is nice to sit back and see movement at the end of the day!
Great Video Sean. I always love seeing your videos and the Ladies and Black Beauty's.
Awesome Karen! They are doing so good this year 😀

Awesome!!! Hope they have a safe trip 😀 tou have 2 months to get ready! Hahaahha
Looking good
Remeber the House? This does not have to be dead on accurate.
Yup! This one just needs to be relatively close lol
Great job clearing the dead trees Sean. How much does a replacement tree usually cost in Alaska? (so you can block out the view of your neighbors?
I am looking into that now...I may need quite a few in the near future!
@@SeanInAlaska we are lucky - the person that helps us in our garden and plants can graft new plants so we don't have to purchase more.

@jamesbrown4919 I think I will jump all in with Lifepo4 so I can have a smaller number to start with
