Great information from Sir JR. I am blessed to be able to apply for Expanded Courtesy SRRV. Since I served honorable in the military as aA Air Force Security Police 🚔. Plus I served at Clark Air Base back in the day in 1991. Getting close to retirement age. Now I am age 61. Thank GOD, Sir JR and John for giving us this information. GOD SPEED PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭.

JRC a very familiar face, thanks to my very close Amigo Rod, of 'Amazing Philippines'. Just wondering JR, is the Military Veteran Application available to Veterans from all Countries such as in my case, i am an Infantry Veteran from New Zealand married to a Filipina from Cebu and we already have owned our house and lot since 2006. Bob. NZ.

Great video! Couple of quick questions....Does a foreigner need a letter from the PRA to open us a Philippine Bank account to pay for the SRRV application and fees? Does a foreigner need to notify the Philippine Bank manager of the dollar amount and purpose of the money for ACH or wire transfer from USA bank to Philippine Bank or Wise ACH transfer to Philippine Bank? What is the maximum amount (I've heard $10K USD) should a foreigner keep in a Philippine Bank account. I've heard that the US government requires annual report of Foreign Bank account typically done along with annual tax return. What's your take on that? Thank you for sharing this very important information. It helps to avoid the frequency of Visa renewal and avoid trips to immigrations in the PI. Thank you very much John & JRC.

Hey John, you are married to a Filipina. Based on that you could do the 13a visa and get permanent resident status. But you still think that a retirement visa is better for you? Just wondering.

    Thx John, and JR.
If everything goes smoothly, how long does the process take to get the SRRV i.d in hand? 2 months approximately?

Probably depends also on where you file. Satellite offices likely will take more time. John

Based on my experience, it takes 2-3 months.

Here’s a question. Regarding the SRRV, he mentions the passport will be stamped. What happens when the passport expires? Does the new passport need to go through the process again?

Hmm, maybe JR can answer this one... I would guess not. John

Question: What is the purpose of the $20,000 USD deposit?
I received my 13A Permanent Resident Visa late last year. This January was my 1st annual report. It cost P350.

The deposit goes back to you if you leave the Philippines. It is to help you resettle if you leave.

I think you get it. But it’s probably not much and likely stays in the bank.
