Oberon with renewal makes the bleedout timers way longer and it's augment gives you a get out of jail free card every 90 seconds, I bring Oberon to every single one to counter this and due to those two things, usually end up being a better support then others like wisp Also the armor buff when used with hallowed ground as well as its rad procs makes survival even easier with the right build renewal works a bit differently when compared to other healing abilities. As long as allies are in the radius when it's cast, they keep renewal no matter how far away they go, as long as they don't do things like jumping off the map, clearing the buff It also only drains a noticeable amount of energy when an ally actually needs to be healed....combined that with nourish and you're buffing yourself and teammates in so many ways, you can even go a step further and use his 1st ability augment to give you and your allies radiation damage which the archon's armor is weak to (but I usually don't do this and put nourish over the first as using 2 augments is kinda hard on most builds) Doing all of this you can give yourself and allies radiation and viral damage on all weapons, increased energy from all sources, constantly proc viral in an aoe when anyone takes damage, significantly longer bleedout timers, a free extra life every 90 seconds, a heal whenever they take damage, and increased armor I recommend building for high strength and duration, and leaving efficiency and range at base as the buffs aren't hard to apply when fighting the archons since everyone is grouped up, and the more strength, the better the buffs. Duration also effects the drain of renewal due to it being a channeled ability I hope this all helps of you decide to try any of this out!

Additional funni for grendel shield gating: with vazarin 1, if the ability shield is broken, the after effect of -90% regen delay and 250% total regeneration speed will literally make grendel shield gate alone without any single ability cast, for 8s, which is the only frame that can shield gate itself with vazarin 1's after effect.
His buddy gauss can do the same thing too with Vazarin cause of his battery passive! It works even when empty and while the playstyle is a bit jank (having to hide from enemies so guardian shell can break faster) it still is a pretty effective survivability method outside of enemy toxin procs
As a Grendel main, I am sad that the fat boi has lost his one-shot people shotgun ability, but it is nice to have a million extra healing from nourish. I’ll miss the old grendel, but I welcome the new age kf the megachonker

You can actually reach 112% damage reduction for those first few seconds in meatball mode. It’s not practical because it tanks your other stats for your other abilities, but it is still there. I also find it really funny that since meatball mode now scales in speed with sprint, and Catapult is multiplicative, not additive, Grendel can now outrun his boyfriend Gauss, the frame based around speed.
As a grendel main through both reworks, i have a comment to make: Old feast was straight-up better for cc and memeing. You could eat as many enemies as you had energy and could upchuck them in a bigass cone of big toxin damage, but the new feast is a much more cohesive piece of the kit, rather than every other frame having 4 abilities and grendel having 1 and 2 extras (nobody ever used the single-shot vomit, because it competes with guns)

Any 1 knows if i can use (buzz kill, jagged edge or carnis mandible) to increase slash proc or is it pointless and should just keep the cookie cutter melee build?

jesus christ, is that a warframe or a league champion, how many extra conditions and effects it has? also yay grendel is super viable, why i don't see any one use it?
When they reworked him i just dont understand why he runs on energy at all they should of just had him use his health if none in his tum and if he is being fed then it feeds on them.
Everything that was fun about feast seems to be gone. They just got rid of the one fucking thing that made me want Grendel, the hilarious potential of eating a ton of shit and then shotgunning them out, killing basically everything in close range, with a reasonable energy cost for the kind of potential it had. I think I’m just gonna stick with the frames I already have.
WHY WHY WHYYYYYYYYYYY Would they make it so you can't cast any Helminth abilities while in Pulverize???? That's SO TRASH for gaming enjoyment! Pulverize is a weak ability, but really fun! Therefore, it could be strengthened with Helminth builds! You have no idea how disappointed I was after installing Sentient Blast, that I couldn't activate it while in meatball. I was like, FINE, maybe the animation lock is the reason why. So then I installed Wyrd Scythes, because I LOVE to spam that while on Dagath, and just seemed like a better version of Aquablades. I think shield gating is destroying WF as a whole. I dunno, it just makes frames like Inaros absolutely worthless as well as a few others. I wish DE would look at the current META and rip it down, give us different things to build for, give other Warframes a chance at the META spotlight
Or just buff the garbage frames like inaros lmao Shield gating and damage immunity exists in basically every game that has infinitely scaling enemies otherwise they will be impossible to survive no matter how much health you have
The fact that they capped his gut irritates me, despite not actually enjoying playing Grendel. He canonically can eat anything and everything, so only having space for five is pathetic. I didn't like original Grendel, and I don't like reworked Grendel, but I preferred the original.
Do you also not like Wukong because he’s not literally immortal? Or Atlas because he can’t solo squat the sky or punch with enough force to crack an asteroid in twain? Or Valkyr / Revenant because they even have primes. It seems like a weird line to draw, and as someone who has played Grendel in the game this version is much more fun and player friendly.
Playstyle is up to each individual, of course, but the 'limit' isn't really a limit in actual play. You couldn't do the "LOL I ATE THE ENTIRE MAP" nonsense outside of specific meme situations, and with the rework you are continually 'using up' enemies you've eaten.

Hey love your vids man , can you do a videos how long it would take to farm the most used arcanes, r5 energize , grace , fury ect tyvm!!!
I honestly like using rage or hunter adrenaline on grendel as I'm comfortable enough and tanky enough to take the required damage to get my energy bar full.
Aquablades and Firewalker are fun af.
10:26 You can consume new enemies while still in the meatball mode?
Shouldn't we be calling it Katamari mode at that point?
10:41 - Lol. Gauss evolved.
Ummm, im getting 10 viral procs from the subsumed ability. Maybe broken glitch?
one wonders if archon intensify works with exalted weapons and life strike...
Exalted (or drain per second ability) will snapshot your current available str and duration, thus archon intensity will work.
Life strike will also work, since it is a melee, so...
@@amolistic_ Yea. I love using Baruuk Prime in the new lua survival because I'll just turn off his exalted when in the aura of the dax guy, then recast for what, 100% more str forever? Yes please.
just checked the wiki and exalted weapons with life strike and healing return do not trigger it
noticed one problem with grendel first ability. if the corps guy with shield (the zariman specific one) it blocks your movement in direction opposite to direction of shield
I dunno why people don't like this guy all that much, he seems like the perfect tank for a guy that sucks at dodging like me.
To think I Helminth'd my Grendel a few months ago. Guess I'll wait til the Prime version.
It's ok. His helminth is insane for so many other frames.
What background music do you use? It's really nice to listen to :)
Remember that time Grendel could eat an infinite amount of people at a time lol
Yes more Grendel videos! As a Grendel main myself i thought Grendel was perfect before the rework but after the rework he's a monster! I put 11 Formas on him to make a good build for him Kengineer i was wondering if you can take a look at it and see what you think of it when you get the chance also can you give me the color scheme of your Grendel from this video i would love to have it for my Grendel
Is there a mod or archon shard that effects charge casting abilities?
For mods it is natural talent for shards yellow one can reduce casting speed
Would not using the Nourish Augment to erase status effects work in place of prime sure footed?
It would, but PSF can go into the exilus slot. If you're happy to go without natural talent (or have amber archon shards available), then the first build can accommodate the augment for sure.
why does the 1 have the ability to throw the enemies if the 4 throws the enemies for better results?
yes
4 is for armor strip. 1 is for direct damage
whats the fulmin build?
What's that fulmin build
Im using wisp with combat discipline and nourish with archon stretch with 203 strength with resevoir i never run out of energy.
Now i have a problem kronen prime slash proc gets diluted.
Any 1 knows if i can use (buzz kill, jagged edge or carnis mandible) to increase slash proc or is it pointless and should just keep the cookie cutter melee build?
The usual high str wisp build will probs still dilute your slashes even with the boost from a slash mod but since you can force proc slash with sovereign outcast it's not the end of the world!
The flabby fulmin freelancer
jesus christ, is that a warframe or a league champion, how many extra conditions and effects it has? also yay grendel is super viable, why i don't see any one use it?
What kind of brace are you using?
His amp? It looks to be 777
When they reworked him i just dont understand why he runs on energy at all they should of just had him use his health if none in his tum and if he is being fed then it feeds on them.
Anyone know that Fulmin build?
I thought if you used his signature weapon he gets knock amenity
during heavy attacks
“As always: Om Nom, UwU, and Barf well, Tenno!”
I still believe the cone should increase with range...
Kurby became more scary😂
Archon intensify and gourmand. Hurt yourself to heal and proc A.I. at any time!
Just want a hydroid rework
citron from garden warfare 2
holy heck! someone else actually calls him meatball?
Some warframe content creators are quitting please don't I watched pupsker video about this
WHY WHY WHYYYYYYYYYYY Would they make it so you can't cast any Helminth abilities while in Pulverize???? That's SO TRASH for gaming enjoyment! Pulverize is a weak ability, but really fun! Therefore, it could be strengthened with Helminth builds! You have no idea how disappointed I was after installing Sentient Blast, that I couldn't activate it while in meatball. I was like, FINE, maybe the animation lock is the reason why. So then I installed Wyrd Scythes, because I LOVE to spam that while on Dagath, and just seemed like a better version of Aquablades. That one doesn't stop you from moving to cast it, and I was so mad to find out I couldn't cast that either! WTF DE?
Goron boi
Rip Grendel, what was once such a fun frame is now nothing but a meme
the j:
No matter how much buffs he gets, he is everything I don't want in a Warframe. Which is being obese... *and vore.* 🤮
So use his best friend, Guass, who is super skinny and clearly doesn't eat
@@lespretend i love gauss. he's like my only motivation of staying and playing. there's just something deep within the recesses of my caveman monkey brain that just keeps on firing ceaseless discharges of dopamine when i finger that number 4 key on my keyboard uhhgnnnnngnnngnnnn😖
My Helminth ate him first
I think shield gating is destroying WF as a whole. I dunno, it just makes frames like Inaros absolutely worthless as well as a few others. I wish DE would look at the current META and rip it down, give us different things to build for, give other Warframes a chance at the META spotlight
Or just buff the garbage frames like inaros lmao
Shield gating and damage immunity exists in basically every game that has infinitely scaling enemies otherwise they will be impossible to survive no matter how much health you have
Meatball go IKEA the wonderful everyday and is favored by pewds.
7thhhhhA
@@M_Kohler I agree I LOVE Grendel and his new update that buffed him, lets hope DE doesn't nerf him to the ground again!
Playstyle is up to each individual, of course, but the 'limit' isn't really a limit in actual play. You couldn't do the "LOL I ATE THE ENTIRE MAP" nonsense outside of specific meme situations, and with the rework you are continually 'using up' enemies you've eaten.
@@aliasisudonomo Yes, converting that to energy and power that is useful for your other abilities. Which is quite like how humans work in real life, besides eating EVERYTHING part of it!
Well, he ain't good at shield gating anymore
I'm sure I'm very late but I have one response to this..
Catalyzing Shields
Sonic better watch TF out, Grendel is going NUTS at the end of the video.
