A note about this subject: as you said, the Soul is usually protected by both the body and the mind. This is also applies for a lot of magecrafts and spiritual phenomenons pertaining to the manipulation of the soul, the body and the mind acting as buffers agains those. This is why Kiara's Ten Thousand Colored Stagnation, which exemplifies this to the extreme, is so dangerous. The technique cleanly separate her target's Body, Mind and Soul, making it extremely easy for Kiara to simply consume the soul of the victim. This is likely also why, despite its medical applications, the technique is considered heretical.
Personally I like to think that theres also Spirit. It's just that Japanese Spirit and Soul concepts are hard to translate to english and are similar but different. Basically there's Body, Mind and Soul, beyond that is Spirit, which is the quintessence of all 3 and Force of Providence (Luck) is what binds it all together as 1. It's something possessed by all beings, even those which lack the idea of lifespan. Spirit is ultimately what makes you "you", regardless of any Ship of Theseus ideas. This is where ones Origin lies, a part of one's person impossible to change even by Angra Mainyu's corruption. It's been stated that resisting ones Origin is nigh-impossible. I like to think that by forcing Body, Mind and Spirit to move in tandem, oppposing it becomes possible.
It still amazes me how well the mind, body, soul of Type-moon aligns with the heart, body, soul of Kingdom Hearts or the psyches various components in the Persona series. Of the three, its entirely possible for real life to exist within simulated reality which is a unique setting I have an obsession with. (referring to the Moon Cell, Tron, or Datascape)
Last time I was so early my Origin was still unactualized in the root with none of body, soul, mind having coalesced into a being. Last time I was so early it normal for dying by "just" having the soul brought to the underworld (and reviving once it returned.
A neat explanation on the three components of one's being! Great job Dai! Speaking of Phantasmal species after Fairies, maybe expand into some more like Dragons or Oni kind.
It's been quite a while since I got a lesson in Magecraft video note; & honestly, it's quite disappointing how so many people & institutions here in our *real* world try to have us focus on the well being of one or two of the three but completely *neglect* that of one or two of them, in one way or another.
Well, to consider that the body, mind and soul are all parts of each being, its logical that you need a perfect control and synergy from all this parts, to master the Magecraft, because it won't works properly if your body is weak, or if your mind lacks discipline and focus, or if your soul lacks the necessary mana to tampers the Magecraft. Making necessary to has properly prepared all this components of your being, and to know uses them in synergy, to dominates and master the Magecraft.
9:50 Very informative on the moon cell and fate extra , Extella the umbrella star . Sadness when hakuno ends up brain dead back on the vita and switch for me …. And the other ending are a seldom dooming 😢😢😢
After getting the platinum for Fate/Extella I was wondering how they split the protaginst into Mind, Soul and Body. This video does help. Especially the Moon Cell near the end.
I have a question, Professor Daikun. If a dead person is brought back through necromancy, does his or her mind, body, and soul will be the same just like when he or she used to be when alive? Also, does the necromancer needs a consent from the dead person's family members and proper maintenance so they won't turn into a monster?

Wow, that's fascinating.

Grey looks more like Morgan with her gray hair than Artoria.

One does not simply obtain the soul without the use of the third magic Heaven’s Feel
Another fantastic lesson! Thank you professor dai can't wait for the next lesson
Always fun seeing these things explored through the lens of the Nasuverse!

So we’re finally gonna learn more about fairies, huh? Especially the ones from the Sixth Lostbelt… Sweet.

Dai: mammals like us
Me thinking: monkeys
Thus we know how Rei Ayanami was created.

Didnt Souren Araya even transfered his soul to new bodys, to life longer?
He and Touko speaked aboz spare bodys, at the end of the 5. movie
A great lesson
Finally after such a long time🥲🥲

I don't know of any cases where that's been done. Usually you get something like a ghost or zombie, not a full revival.
4:01 - 4:41 you had my comment in mind as you were making the video! didn't you xD
Possibly. I do try to learn from comments.
When we get "Fate Lore - The Tale of Xuanzang Sanzang"?
How does one's origin fit into this? Does everybody have an origin?
Yes. The origin is a concept that came from the root and takes the form of a person. Not sure if it's tied to any one part.
Yo adventures of lord el melloi when
I'll try to get on that soon.
That was a great a game
My favourite
This was a really interesting and great magecraft lesson (*・∀・)👍✨✨✨✨✨✨
I am inevitable…
Hmm…no mentions of Darius Ainsworth and how his Flash Air degraded his mind, almost similar to what happened to Zouken? Shame.
There's an entire lesson on Ainsworth Magecraft.
yooooooooooooooooooo
