Thank you! I have seen way too many people saying we are cold and unfriendly to foreigners.
People up north tend to be a little shy, and we tend to not jump into a conversation with strangers out of politeness, trying to be respectful of others' personal space and not wanting to bother anyone in public.

If you ever come back to Denmark. Try out the towns further away from the bigger cities. There's many interesting to see as well. As a Dane, I am very proud of what nature we have, the ruins of castles and forts here and there, the small random facts about some of the smaller towns. Copenhagen is a very cultural city and such to try out as a tourist for their first visit. If you visit us again, then personally, I could show you around some of the towns like Elsinore (Helsingør in Danish), the little town where Sweden invaded Denmark to stop us from aiding the Prussians and Russians in the great northern war. All such small facts can be found out here on the smaller villages a little ways away from our Capital. (Btw. I live on Zealand too)
We're without a doubt happy to have you here. :) Hope your stay has been nice so far.

    • @Tanaka20
      @Tanaka20 3 дні тому

@@JutlandAngel I will have to disagree with you on that one. Helsingør is much more overrun by the Swedish peeps, plus it is marginally smaller as well. Plus, the nature around the city, is in my oppinion, much more beautiful than that of Copenhagen.
I see your name bears the land of Denmark's mainland. Is that claim based on the good ol' mainland - devil isle vibe? :)

    2) burgers: i would any day choose dandilon over gasoline, but besides those there is a lot of good burger joints! Gasoline, Dandelion, Popl, tommi's, Jagger,.. and a hell of a lot more, you could make a whole series about burgers in copenhagen.
    3) jagger makes great chicken burgers. but the best is poulette ! (you where standing right next to it, at gasolin

If I have to mention something that could be argued, it's the "no Remoulade in Sweden". It might be hard to find in restaurant's but most Swedish stores in the southern part of the country have several brands.
If a supermarket has 10 types of ketchup and 16 types of mustard, they will have 2-4 brands of remoulade and remoulade sauce.

'Flødeboller' is delicious and it's super easy to make yourself.
    Base:
150 g marzipan (or store-bought wafers or biscuits as the base)
    Meringue filling:
    150 g sugar
75 g glucose syrup (can be substituted with honey)
    1 dl water
75 g pasteurized egg whites (equivalent to about 2-3 pasteurized egg whites)
    1 tsp vanilla sugar
    Coating:
300 g dark chocolate (or milk chocolate if you prefer)
Optional toppings: coconut flakes, freeze-dried berries, or chopped nuts for decoration
    Method:
    Base:
Roll out the marzipan to about 0.5 cm thickness.
Use a cookie cutter or glass to cut out small circles that fit the base of the "flødeboller."
Bake the marzipan bases at 180°C (350°F) for about 5-7 minutes until lightly golden. Let them cool.
    Meringue filling:
Heat the sugar, water, and glucose syrup in a saucepan to 117°C (243°F). Use a candy thermometer to ensure the right temperature.
Meanwhile, whisk the egg whites with the vanilla sugar until stiff peaks form.
Once the sugar syrup reaches the right temperature, slowly pour it in a thin stream into the egg whites while continuing to whisk. Whip the mixture for about 8-10 minutes until it's glossy and thick.
Spoon the meringue into a piping bag with a round nozzle, and pipe it into small peaks on top of the marzipan bases. Let the "flødeboller" sit for at least 1 hour to allow the meringue to set.
    Coating:
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave.
Gently dip the "flødeboller" in the melted chocolate, or pour the chocolate over them with a spoon.
If desired, decorate with coconut, freeze-dried berries, or chopped nuts while the chocolate is still wet.
Let the "flødeboller" cool until the chocolate has fully hardened.
    Storage:
Store the "flødeboller" in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Im a Danish guy, loved the video. But the guy telling him, out of the blue "you should tell him its only for the rich people" I know it was meant like, so he knew it wasn't ordinary that people just eat there. But still, why presume he couldn't figure that out and insert himself in the video. Ahh it just caught me off-guard 😂

Depends on what Dane you meet and where you're from/your own customs. If you are a westerner or Christian chances are they will treat you good. If you're some economic migrant, chances are you would be hated.
