- This was a first visit to the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway in a beautiful part of Derbyshire to help GB Productions who are producing a DVD for the railway. A small industrial loco and another railcar ran trips during the day to Ravenstor which linked the line with the High Peak Railway; one of the steepest standard gauge lines in operation.
Material: Bole Hill; Wirksworth yard, railcars at Ravenstor, Idgridgehay and Jebs Lane; 78019 at Wirksworth, Gorseybank, Windley, Duffield, Windley, near Ashleyhay and Callow Park.
What a beautiful Railway this is Mike, and great facilities as well. You've done a superb job as always of capturing the essence of the railway, and let's wish them every success for the future...Bob
@robmasterman
Thanks Bob, a lovely part of the country and very friendly people.
@SteamingYorkshire
Thanks Simon. We keep bumping into each other going in opposite directions so it was nice to have a chat. We saw you scratching your head in agitation as you sat behind those 'steady locals! I only just managed to get set up in time and missed the training going under the bridge.
Interesting collection of stock. Nice to see a bit of DMU action as well, including the famous Iris the Railcar.
Great stuff Mike, nice to see you again! I noticed you and Graham following from Duffield, and I wasn't sure if you'd have made it in time for the shot by the college but you did :]

@SirSim25
Thanks. Yes there is. They have already done a heck of a lot of work in clearing and preparing the line.
Just what this railway could do with a standard and/or ivatt2
@iantrack
Yes, they would be ideal, but the running costs of such a beast for a fledgling railway are relatively high.
@fgh456pc
Thanks
@AndreiTupolev
We would have preferred to see a little more steam action and a little less of Iris!
