Loss of sharpness while fully wide open? What are you talking about? I am using it at 400mm f6.3 wide open and it is 100 percent sharp as hell.

Photos - the thing with shooting street with a long lens makes everything look like a paparazzi shot. Detached from the scene. Whereas a short wider lens lets the viewer know you were right there amongst it all. 2 very different emotions created from either long or short lenses.

Thanks Steve! Much appreciated. That's true. I definitely have a much deeper attachment to my more intimate photos, you can feel the photographers presence within them
Thank you Carey for this video! I have the same configuration and use it for Nature photography. Wicked sharp and never ceases to amaze me. Have you tried the 45mm Macro, 42.5, or dare I say the 10-25 Leica lenses? They will have to be rentals for me but looking forward to it. Wait a minute..., I think I recognize that street, Go Broncos!

never heard of you before but i like your style. Do you shoot the A73 and G9 for different reasons? Why have both?
Thanks man! I typically use the a7iii for nighttime because of its superior ISO performance, and the g9 during the day because it's sensor readout is fast enough that you can actually reliably use the silent shutter for stealthy shooting without a bunch of rolling shutter
@@careywest appreciate it. I have Sony full frame as well and still have an interest in a GH5.2 or G9 (or Oly EM1.3). Was curious to know your “why” having a FF and M4/3 setup

Doesn't matter what camera and/or lens you use, I always use about 400mm,
it's the picture that counts and here are lots of good ones :-))

I got the olympus 100-400. Heavy after a while walking. My left hand gets sore. Good thing i draw balls with my right 🖖

Could you put the settings for each photo with the photo?
I'm not against it, but time-wise it can be difficult. Balancing work and videos is tricky already without adding alot of time to editing.
