You cannot get married on a Tourist Visa in Kuwait . You cannot rent an apartment long term on a Tourist Visa in Kuwait. . (The apartment HAS to be in Salaha’s name.) So it’s obvious that she’s hiding from the delivery man as she’s not meant to be living there . With all due respect , there’s nothing bizarre about it , just the law.

Define “nothing”. Look at her. I mean take a *really* good look at her. All Chantal has in her life is food, attention, and a feminine beta male who takes her out occasionally, and converses with her via the internet - even when they’re both in the same house. Chantal has no friends. She can’t walk to the bathroom without huffing and puffing like a steam engine. She eats with plastic utensils and has food delivered to her door, so she can sit in front of her phone and inhale it in front of random strangers on the internet who get off on encouraging watching her make herself sick(er). She’s a diabetic, and has had a blood clot in her lung. She can’t tie her shoes, or wipe her own bum. *Everything* is happening to this woman. The only time Chantal will care, is when she ends up having a long stay in hospital, after a major health scare. Even then, she won’t ever change. I would absolutely HATE to have her life.
Easy answer,…she ate all of them. Before morning, none will be left. She will be lapping up the extra syrup onto bread or with a spoon. The only food that she leaves to fester and rot are the foods she needs to most,…fresh veg.
The best part is watching you make the recipe. I would guess she ate as many pieces as she could without wanting to share. This video also gives me a view of how utterly exhausting it would be to have her around full time. Thanks @SansaCooks Happy New year 🌞💜✨

I had something similar to macarona bechamel on Xmas day. It was SO heavy that it triggered my GERD and put me in the ER 🤢 I realize I have a condition that she doesn’t, but even so, I have no idea how she can eat like this every day.

Sansa, thanks to your insightful videos, today I changed my favorite order at Starbucks ("envuelto poblano", a thick bread filled with cheese and poblano pepper, 476 cal.) for a breakfast muffin (240 cal.) I always have an alto black coffee with a splash of skim milk and stevia. Super satisfying!
You can definitely tell, that the double dose of medication, all the new medicine, plus the insulin, has given her more wiggle room. She hasn't had as many serious medical issues since being put on insulin. Now anyone with even a tiny bit of sense, would take this opportunity to clean up their life, but not 'cutie'.
This brought back a nice memory for me, because this is one of the activities we did when I was just learning the language so many years ago. The instructor spoke only Arabic, but we were able to follow along with the steps as long as we paid attention. I learned a lot of cooking Arabic, which was fun for me because I love to cook. As for the halawat al-jibn, they were easy to make and were tasty, but I could eat only a small piece at a time. They do have a nice flavor, although they are very very rich and sweet. I cannot imagine eating an entire kilo of them! Thanks Sansa, you made me smile today.

Agree!! She has ZERO respect for him (or anyone). It's ironic - she doesn't respect him because she's learned how to manipulate him. That's why she was (is) so hardcore for Nader, he didn't let her control him (unless it was in his favor) and she LOVED the game, the challenge of finding ways to manipulate and defeat him. She's a Narc, that's what she fuels her ego. She finds' Salah's pushback exciting cuz it's her discovering a new boundary line to extend....game on. Salah knows....he sees what we see. I have GD and a house full of Christmas treats. I have one or two items with black coffee after a filling breakfast, and maybe a little night cap if my value is good after dinner. My husband brought it all into the house, but with the exception of hospitality for guests he doesn't set out an entire tray of tempting poison and force me to sit there and watch everyone who is not monitoring their blood glucose monch away with normal hormonal abandon. Salah has been with her for two years and still doesn't get that she's super morbidly obese and a diabetic? And has a host of other problems? He really is her Superman, isn't he? I honestly do feel that he doesn't care. What a fabulous huzband and a convenience to her.
I think he gets it. He also gets her wrath 24/7 over food. Can you imagine having to tell foodie no all the time for her poor choices? So the tray likely held about 18, and being generous, each piece was somewhere around 200 calories. Nearly 4,000 calories of dessert for a diabetic in just one day...
I'm not diabetic and have no reason not to indulge from time to time. I NEVER eat sweets. Guess that's why I'm not T2 D. I can't comprehend not only her choices, but her portions are insane. I eat 1 slice of pizza or 1 taco. Or a small salad. Half order of oven roasted wings. Hubby and I share an 8 ounce steak and potato. It's wild the sheer volume she consumes and doesn't feel like absolute death. If I eat 1 too many of anything I'm done. Uck.
I’m so happy that he told her not to eat the sweets until after the food! However when she turned the video off, I know she ate the sweets first anyway. You can just see the anger in her face and embarrassment when he tells her to eat it later!
She ate all of them within 4-6 hours. I can’t imagine her blood sugar. Even a non diabetic would have trouble processing all that! Ugh. I don’t like super sweet desserts much. My husband made a banana bread pudding over the holidays that was soaked in a syrup and we each had about 3 bites. It was too much!
its insane how those sweets just don't make her sick and not in a diabetic way. i love middle eastern/west indian/indian sweets and every once in a while i buy far more than i need. they end up languishing in my fridge because after 2-3 pieces my body says 'that's enough of that!'. does she not get that sticky-queasy-ew feeling after a normal serving of rich sweets?
Why did she first say she was craving the dessert, but then claims she doesn’t know what it is? Then she acts like a kid opening Christmas presents, when she starts eating. I’ve never seen an adult so giddy about eating. She yells that she WILL be eating more later. Is that her way of telling Salah not to eat any because it’s hers?
I had to laugh when Salah wouldn’t let her dig right into the sweets. You put food in front of her, her only thought is she needs to consume it right away. Good for Salah for teaching her a little delayed gratification.

Lately I've been wondering about the timing of eating sweet things, and its effect on blood sugar. I mean, does it matter to the blood sugar if you start the day with a sweet thing, such as a sugary coffee, hours before a meal, or (as us dessert enthusiasts do) end the day with a sweet thing? Or is it better to only have the sweet thing at the same time as a savory food? I don't know - just a thought as I sit in bed with my sweet coffee first thing in the morning. (I am not diabetic but it's in the family so I want to be careful as I age.)
According to my endocrinologist (I have insulin resistance), it is better to pair sugary food with healthy fats, protein and fiber. That way the sugar peak is not that high. Having an orange juice will spike the blood sugar, but eating a whole orange after a healthy egg breaksfast won´t have the same effect.

With that in-depth culinary description, I predict nothing but success for the couples travel channel, while they travel the world sampling the local delicacies…it just tastes good! I would have loved to see her BG reading afterwards. And she’s probably way overdue for an HbA1C. Should take advantage of that great Kuwaiti health care.

Agree!! She has ZERO respect for him (or anyone). It's ironic - she doesn't respect him because she's learned how to manipulate him. That's why she was (is) so hardcore for Nader, he didn't let her control him (unless it was in his favor) and she LOVED the game, the challenge of finding ways to manipulate and defeat him. She's a Narc, that's what she fuels her ego. She finds' Salah's pushback exciting cuz it's her discovering a new boundary line to extend....game on. Salah knows....he sees what we see. He lives with it! He KNOWS the voices of GW are right. His tolerance with her is waning. He's either gonna bend (like Peetz) or break (like Bibi and Nader) and give her the boot.

Something is amiss. Salah has done something and the food is his punishment, maybe. And we ALL know she ate all of them. Así, look at her eyes. She is upset about something. Well, she’s always upset but this is odd.
He joked about divorce in her last live which is why she changed her return date and hi-tailed it back to Kuwait.
I have GD and a house full of Christmas treats. I have one or two items with black coffee after a filling breakfast, and maybe a little night cap if my value is good after dinner. My husband brought it all into the house, but with the exception of hospitality for guests he doesn't set out an entire tray of tempting poison and force me to sit there and watch everyone who is not monitoring their blood glucose monch away with normal hormonal abandon. Is he doing this to keep her from taking his car and wrecking it, ya think?

Salah has been with her for two years and still doesn't get that she's super morbidly obese and a diabetic? And has a host of other problems? He really is her Superman, isn't he? I honestly do feel that he doesn't care. What a fabulous huzband and a convenience to her.
I think he gets it. He also gets her wrath 24/7 over food. Can you imagine having to tell foodie no all the time for her poor choices? The arguments they have over food, multiple times a day, would drive anyone to stop caring at some point. Then add on her baby talk & constantly pestering until she gets her way. I don’t like the guy but I understand why he just lets her eat. It’s a lost cause. Why he stays with her is beyond me.

So the tray likely held about 18, and being generous, each piece was somewhere around 200 calories. Nearly 4,000 calories of dessert for a diabetic in just one day...

I'm not diabetic and have no reason not to indulge from time to time. I NEVER eat sweets. Guess that's why I'm not T2 D. I can't comprehend not only her choices, but her portions are insane. I eat 1 slice of pizza or 1 taco. Or a small salad. Half order of oven roasted wings. Hubby and I share an 8 ounce steak and potato. It's wild the sheer volume she consumes and doesn't feel like absolute death. If I eat 1 too many of anything I'm done. Uck.

She ate all of them within 4-6 hours. I can’t imagine her blood sugar. Even a non diabetic would have trouble processing all that! Ugh. I don’t like super sweet desserts much. My husband made a banana bread pudding over the holidays that was soaked in a syrup and we each had about 3 bites. It was too much!

its insane how those sweets just don't make her sick and not in a diabetic way. i love middle eastern/west indian/indian sweets and every once in a while i buy far more than i need. they end up languishing in my fridge because after 2-3 pieces my body says 'that's enough of that!'. does she not get that sticky-queasy-ew feeling after a normal serving of rich sweets?

Why did she first say she was craving the dessert, but then claims she doesn’t know what it is? Then she acts like a kid opening Christmas presents, when she starts eating. I’ve never seen an adult so giddy about eating. She yells that she WILL be eating more later. Is that her way of telling Salah not to eat any because it’s hers?

I had to laugh when Salah wouldn’t let her dig right into the sweets. You put food in front of her, her only thought is she needs to consume it right away. Good for Salah for teaching her a little delayed gratification.

Lately I've been wondering about the timing of eating sweet things, and its effect on blood sugar. I mean, does it matter to the blood sugar if you start the day with a sweet thing, such as a sugary coffee, hours before a meal, or (as us dessert enthusiasts do) end the day with a sweet thing? Or is it better to only have the sweet thing at the same time as a savory food? I don't know - just a thought as I sit in bed with my sweet coffee first thing in the morning. (I am not diabetic but it's in the family so I want to be careful as I age.)
According to my endocrinologist (I have insulin resistance), it is better to pair sugary food with healthy fats, protein and fiber. That way the sugar peak is not that high. Having an orange juice will spike the blood sugar, but eating a whole orange after a healthy egg breaksfast won´t have the same effect.
